(developers of speedtest.net) a few months ago, they released a 3D tool that provides insights for internet connectivity speeds (download, upload, latency, jitter...etc), not just based on a 2D location/coordinates, but also the mobile signal quality and carrier network performance on each floor of multi-story buildings This might prove useful and provide a great dataset for your field of work.
