I tried replicating this, but it tasted like vinegar. I got all the ingredients correct, but I realized I forgot to kiss the shaker before opening it. Tried it again with the kiss and it tasted wonderful.
The man who brought THE best pasta salad ever has sniped Simone Caporale as well. It would seem he's a magnet for the best things! Is there anything Jamie Oliver can't do?
Simon from Japan: these drinks are fantastic- there are smashing bars in Tokyo but likely none with these recipes. Challenge for you- can you come up with something using sweet potato or grain shochu?
I didn't have any marashico liqueur so I used simple syrup with a dash of cherry liqueur. The cherry liqueur spoiled the sky blue color but the taste was good. I'll try again with St. Germain that should keep the color.
I really want to try this drink, but I want to substitute alcohols which I currently have at home. Could I used Ginjinha instead of the maraschino liquior and elderflower liquer instead of the violette? I'm aware that the color would drastically change but could that work as a cocktail in terms of flavor?
15 ml Lemon juice 50 ml London dry gin (bombay sapphire) 15 ml maraschino liqueur a few drops violet liqueur Shake with ice. Strain into glass. Glass: iced before pouring your content. 1 Red cherry
Hey Simone! Great videoes. I have a request - could you show some more drinks with rum? I am a simple man, who always orders rum and coke (Cuba Libre), but I wanna try some new stuff and preferably with rum :)
Awesome Rum Cocktail is Cuban Mule - 50ml havana 3 yr Rum, 25ml Orange Juice, Squeeze of Lime and Top with Ginger beer. Easy build and stir cocktail that tastes great!
Emil- The Dark and Stormy is the way to go. Gosslings Spiced Dark Rum and Gosslings Ginger Beer. 1/3 Rum to 2/3 Ginger Beer. Over ice. Stir, close your eyes and drink in some special Maine delicioso!
Was in London last week and literally bought all the different liqueurs lol. But I want the same glass too - what's it called and where can I get it? Thanks! :)
+kdotchiu I think it is an old fashioned Champaign Glass, or similar to the Babysham Glasses, you can get real cheap on Ebay. Just remove the paint LOL. I must admit it has always been my favourite, never liked the flutes.
Oh ma goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....d.. I want to taste it now :( Wait till I come back to my country so I can drink this in my lovely garden..mmm.mmmm..Delicioooooos
Simone, I have a really difficult task for you! Are you able to make an Iranian (Persian) cocktail? The ingredients could include things such as lime or lemon, pomegranate, saffron, raisin schnapps, Shiraz red wine, mint, basil and so on. The colours of the Iranian flag are green, white and red. Good luck if you decide to accept my challenge! ;)
Hey MooshGazetBegire - stay tuned, we might have a moment in the next few weeks when you should make this request again. We can't say any more as our lips are sealed... keep watching :)
Simone throws the icecubes to chill the glass away without looking, imagine that falling on the street below, causing a massive accident.... couple of secs later police, ambulance firefighters arrive.... *THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY*
You'll be pleased to know we employed a full crew to catch those ice cubes*. No people, animals, or feelings were hurt in the making of this video. *not true.
Hear that? It was Simone firing the starting pistol on the weekend.
Get ready to mix your very own Aviation #cocktail.

i love this channel, too bad i am on medications for a few weeks...
I usually hate gin, but the aviation is a fantastic old school cocktail.
+Jason Mullins Hear, Hear.
What's the music? It's got a nice airy jazz swing to it... perfect for making this drink :)
Gotta say, that looks nice. Just getting hold of the Violet liqueur might be tricky.
Kael The internet is your friend for that one Kael.
I didn't have any marashico liqueur so I used simple syrup with a dash of cherry liqueur. The cherry liqueur spoiled the sky blue color but the taste was good. I'll try again with St. Germain that should keep the color.
Love your work! Do you have any ideas on johnnie walker blue or cognac?
Hi Slippery gypsy, I'm sure we'll have some Cognac recipes coming soon. Great to hear you are loving our vids
If you replace the violet liqour and add midori will it blend well?

Best guy on this channel :-)

We've never tried it that way - but it could be a delicious twist! Why not give it a go? We'd love to hear what it tastes like.
What a legend
can u use violet syrup intend of violet liquor?
+Costa The_Great Yes, although it will obviously change the alcohol content and sweetness! Experiment and let us know the perfect portions! :D
Where was this filmed? I can't quite identify the backdrop.
It was on top of a roof near London Fields :)
This guy is so crazily lovable :D
haha, dude u crazy. love it!

Demonface and You should do quite easily. You can always go online to find what you need.
Hey Simone! Great videoes.

Simone: What is the size of the glass you used for this cocktail?
A coupe or champagne saucer would be perfect for this drink!
But what size did Simone used on this video? Would you say that it was a 4 ounce coupe?
the kid must have had at least 4 or 5 before the final take. enteraining and made like the pro he is.
deliSHOES!!!
Interesting you only put in around 80mls of ingredients but the glass is nearly full so around 160mls. Where did the other 80mls come from?
Paul Crabtree Very eagle-eyed! Simone might have been a little exuberant with his pouring!
Great video although Aviation works very well with Gerenium Gin!
Cheers for the top tip!
man Simone is being cooky as fuck
Nah I think he's just high
Gennaro's lost child!
I wish I could drink Gin :-(

Jamie Oliver's Drinks Tube hahahaha GENIUS :) also glad I actually got response from a big youtube channel!
Sorry guys, Maraschino is Croatian liquor. Made out of Maraska (Maraška) cherries.
Good point! Thanks for getting in touch.

You can see on the bottle "Zara 1821". Zara is was the name of city of Zadar during italian occupation.
ja sam to isto primjetila :)
watch modern rouge for recipe
moonlight
Would make this...but I am all out of violet liqueur :-\
off to the shops!
Pazzo di un italiano :). Ma comunque bravoo!!
He says London dry gin, but then uses pretty much the only kind of gin you can find that is NOT Londron dry gin. Oh well, cool video, great cocktail.
Hi MrBook Bombay is a distilled London Dry Gin - it's infused rather than directly flavoured. Cheers!
2:40
The sky in my country is grey and terrible-looking, so I like to finish off the cocktail by wringing out my socks over it.
Remind us never to accept an offer of a drink from you.
Ha hahaha really fun
Please simone, get an ice pick
