This is almost exactly 1000% the same build im in the middle of on my 701. All of the tekmo bits, sm project parts, brake upgrade, tune etc. I’m so happy I found your channel.. your videos are so addicting. As a motorcycle UA-camr I rarely ever find interest in watching motorcycle channels anymore because I’m already so consumed in my own content. Your channel is one of the few that I can watch for hours. Your build series’ are top notch and you’ve given me inspiration for my own videos. Great job and sick bike! Subscribed
I literally bought a 2021 RSV4 3 days ago and Chops has me lusting after the SMCR already! I will have one. Oh yes, I will have one. Greetings from Texas.
Bike looks great Chopsy but wow is it eclipsed by Mavis' sparkly new Boob Tube! Way to go girl!! .....oh and the bike is brill but you need to get some plastic covers on the threads where the mirrors used to be to stop my bells jangling....great video, top work son.
Out of all the bikes I’ve had, the 701 is one of the three I wish I would have kept. Out of the box they’re a blast. Yours is a whole other level! Gorgeous bike.
Fantastic videos, getting 2016 KTM 690 on Friday, won't be buying as much as you as pennies are tight but I can at least see what can be done with these bikes, hope I enjoy it as much as you, awesome bike you have.
Tip I heard on bleeding brakes with abs. Put the bike on a stand with the bike running in nuetral. Have someone spin the rear tire while pumping the lever. This will activate the abs pump and help get air or old fluid out of the system.
Chops, You've done it. Surely that is thee BEST, I REPEAT THEE BEST KTM 690 SMCR on UA-cam or anywhere else for that matter. Now don't say your gonna sell it. Got to be a keeper . You should've had Mavis playing SIMPLY THE BEST in the back ground. You lead, others will follow 👏👏👏
Very nice. I'm looking at grabbing a leftover new 2020 Husky 701. I really like the idea of the Cumpan addon. My bike definitely won't be as kitted out as yours though, but I do have some mods in mind for it. Great stuff with yours.
I am so torn between a 690 and the 790 duke. Dealer near me has both in stock used... arghhhhhh STOPIT! No don't.. your passion for this bike is evident I feel it... respect.
That bike is amazing!, I’ve just switched from the sm to the enduro r, so I’ve got to start modding all over again! 😂 I will be using this series as a source of inspiration, I’ve enjoyed every minute!
Hi lamb chops , what amazing looking bike now and you have done a great job and well worth all the modes you have done and vids and look forward to the next vids on it
Killer build champ!! Take delivery of mine next week. You’ve sold me on the Tekmo pipe and power commander. Will b runnin a 15 tooth front sprocket. 🤙🏼💯
@@LambChopRides Did you ever dyno your your SMC? What gains were made in your opinion from intake, pipe and Power Commander? Just curious. 🤙🏼. Aloha from Hawaii.
3 months later I finally have completed my build identical to yours minus graphics and Tekmo muffler. (Went with the Ti Arrow). What a blast!! Thank you Chops for the video series. BTW, opted for the 44 tooth rear instead.
Absolutely awesome bike and build series chopsey! I've watched this video twice now, love it! Have you had a chance to get it on the dyno yet? Eager to know how it goes. Supermoto fools were getting 78hp at the rear wheel! Pretty impressive. Cheers
Absolutely brilliant and I'm modding my 690 Duke I bought,, saving for the power commander,, pipe, o2 delete, sas deleted, modified airbox,, pipercross airfilter, but sometimes cuts out at low revs,, grrrrr, but like the videos said,, it's a fun bike,, from Northern Ireland,, you're a bad influence, 😜😜😜☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
That tie wrap tip has confounded me all week grrr..... Until I paired your tip up with my Workmate! Put the peg spring in the hole push and tie wrap. Worked a treat. P.S. Loving your builds, keep up the good work.
Chops .. lovely bike I'll be keeping an eye out for you . I think I've heard you blatting around the Petersfield area . It's a keeper along with the H2 👍
It was awesome watching the build, and it looks and sounds fantastic.... and now it seems that it rides fantastic too! You'll have to put the wheelie control back on for Brands, else you'll get put on the naughty step again! :D
love it mate sounds amazing looks amazing and I could imagine the massive grin on your face the whole time you were riding. Just need to get on with the Ducati now😅🤣
LCR I don’t know if you have done a video on this but have you thought about doing a video on your riding gear for summer /winter etc think a lot of us would find it helpful and interesting .
I love it, I love it. But as as you poms say I will be a minor prat, I love the Tekmo header pipe but not to fussed with the end can shape of exhaust as I chose the wings system. But we are spoilt with choices. But I still love it what you have done. Hope to see yours on a Dyno compared to mine. Great job Mr Chops😀👍
I love the ethos of a supermoto inc this one. Single cylinder Ridiculous light weight Fantastic power to weight ratio Great suspension Sticky rubber But.... That modern motocross look with 17" wheels and dead flat tank/seat park bench look has always put me off. Now, get a CCM Spitfire or similar, and go to town, hell, even the Vitpilen version of this bike, oh yeah babe.
Great footage and what a sound; question if you are in in mode 2 with traction control on will it come down automatically if you wheelie ? I have the 690 enduro r version by the way. Thx
A brilliant build series. There can't be much left of the original bike. When are you going to spill the beans on cost? Would love to have seen the face on the insurance company worker when you realed off the mods . @@

I will have one. Oh yes, I will have one.

Would love to see a dyno tune like you mentioned and see the numbers it putting out
Good morning chopsy, enjoyed every minute of this build can’t wait for the next build
Thanks Frank 👍
Nice! Mines about to get the works like this one! Can’t wait!
Bike looks great Chopsy but wow is it eclipsed by Mavis' sparkly new Boob Tube! Way to go girl!! .....oh and the bike is brill but you need to get some plastic covers on the threads where the mirrors used to be to stop my bells jangling....great video, top work son.
Thanks Andy! Yes you can get some black blanks for those, better get some ordered to keep you happy 😊
@@LambChopRides I dare you to let TMF do a non biased review of it.
@@4RMS7TRONG +1 for that!
@@LambChopRides You can get RAM ball mounts to go in them too, which make for handy mountings of 360 cameras too! ;-)
TMF likes to keep both wheels on the deck boys, he’s too sensible for this motorcycle 😊
Out of all the bikes I’ve had, the 701 is one of the three I wish I would have kept. Out of the box they’re a blast. Yours is a whole other level! Gorgeous bike.
What were the other 2?
06 RC-51 and 09 Hypermotard.
Thanks for your superb footage of the 690 SMC-R. You build an amazing bike, congrats!
Mega “bits & bobs” as you would say 🤘🏻. It’s been a blast to watch this build. I love my 701!!!!
Reminds me of my XR650 supermoto I had years ago. I miss that bike. So much fun I had on that bike. FUN !!

That bike is amazing!, I’ve just switched from the sm to the enduro r, so I’ve got to start modding all over again! 😂
I will be using this series as a source of inspiration, I’ve enjoyed every minute!
I’m tempted to get the Rottweiler air filter system, but I’m concerned about it being suitable for off-road use?
It's fine for offroad, just wash and oil it regularly 👍
It actually filters more dust than the paper filter that comes stock
Hi lamb chops , what amazing looking bike now and you have done a great job and well worth all the modes you have done and vids and look forward to the next vids on it
Bike looks cracking and sounds incredible Choppers, nice nice build
