- I forgot to do a quick demonstration after the retrofit of the Audi TT 8J wing mirror upgrades with auto dimming / auto anti-dazzle in action and the auto reverse mirror dip kerb view function 😅
The auto dimming / anti dazzle functions doesn’t need coding in if you already have the ani-dazzle centre mirror. There’s nothing more to do except have the car running and go for a drive, then wait for someone with blinding LED lights coming up behind you and the mirrors will automatically dim down to absorb that light just like magic.
How do you set auto reverse dip kerb view for the Audi TT retrofit?
👉 Putting the gear in reverse
👉 Mirror controls selected to the passenger side
👉 You manually dip the mirror to desired position
👉 Put into a forward gear
👉 then change the mirror control to centre position
👉 Finally flick it back to the passenger side and it will dip back to your set (memory) position
👉 It'll automatically tilt back up to the deicing position when you set off.
It’s such a practical feature I can’t believe other cars in the platform got it but not the TT Mk2 8J (Passat for example!)
