My first question when groups come fundraising is, "Do you have a DEI Policy?" As they begin to explain I cut in with, "That was a trick question..... Get the F@(k out of my house!"
I was summoned to a class ran by some DEI types. Anyone questioning thier beliefs were not so politely told to leave the group!

The best part was when they "apologized". The donations stopped rolling in, and this was a threat to the salaries of their senior management.
Nothing quite says "inclusive movement" like firing a 60-year volunteer for having the nerve to ask a question.
I'd bet dollars to donuts the volunteer lady would have gone along with the woke silliness if the crazy staffer girl would have simply explained what "preferred pronouns" were, instead of just immediately baying at the moon and demanding the old woman's head on silver platter.

I miss my departed family and friends from Fran's generation (Canadian as well as American), but I've started to think it is a kindness of God that they were able to toddle off to their reward before seeing what their beloved countries have devolved into. I just hope we will rebound before I also toddle off. 😞

Safe to say the MSS is paying big money to a DEI department and sending your donations on to non-MS originations.
Still trying to understand how it's a 'human right' to force others to 'affirm' your subjective interpretation of reality. Imagine if it was considered a cancelable offense to not 'affirm' someone's view that the Earth is flat or that a god created humanity.
This sums it up perfectly. It's an insane precedent to set. People fought for generations to be free of this kind of crap, and now it's back in another form. And honestly, the way these people behave it really does seem like a religion they have fanatical belief in ...and you must too!

“Decolonization of schools” given that the activists have said Hamas’s actions on Oct 7 was that of decolonization, this could get really messy.
Those 'colonisers' brought Western society to a huge land mass that was owned by no one and built an amazing school system that has served normal, sane, rational people well for many generations. The world today has lost its collective mind.
The actions of the MS Society are the reasons why NO charities that have an "inclusive" or "dei" policy or department get one cent from me. The get my FYO and perhaps a hung up phone if they are lucky. My nieces, nephews and cousins will thank them for their stupidity.
I don't believe their apology. If I were an MS donor, I would have stopped and this apology would not get me to start again. I have permanently cut ties with other organizations that went down this path.
They added "Choose not to respond" to gender questions, why not the same for preferred pronouns? I don't want them in MY bio, I am what I appear and don't feel the need to emphasize it.
You raise a good point about agism, though. The Society showed no understanding for the confusion a woman who grew up in the 40's and 50's might face dealing with cutting-edge modern ID politics. I'm in my 50's and hate this stuff, she may not even be very aware of it.
The correct response to such questions is, "None of your business."

I was at a mall with my three year old and there was a charity set up there whose stated role was heart-disease research. They had these red heart shaped balloons and I offered to buy one for a $10 donation. They said that they could only give me a balloon if I signed up for a year, with a monthly donation automatically debited from my bank account. Naturally I said no way. Then I went home and researched this charity and downloaded their annual report. They spend 90% of donations on themselves. That stall at the mall was actually run by an outsourced third party firm, that kept 50% of any donations they fleeced out of people. All charities are scams in my opinion.

But youve given me a great idea. We are plagued with highly paid charity fundraisers in our town ( you know the ones that grab you in the street- i say highly paid because my fellow RP speaking student friends worked for such organisations back in late 90's, 2000's on £10 an hour before UK even had a minimum wage 😜). From now on ill ask them about their DEI policy, and on that response tell them why im not giving my money. There so righteous and pushy, cant wait to see their faces when i tell them i wont fund their ideologies.
