Dimash didn’t just wake up with this voice. He has studied and trained since the age of 5. He holds master degrees in contemporary and classical voice, and is working on his PhD in music composition. He practices everyday. He stands at 6’3” tall, has a Black Belt in Karate, plays 9 instruments, and sings in over 13 languages, and speaks 3 or 4. This song is from a French Rock Opera from the 70’s. Vocal coaches and Opera Singers unanimously agree that Dimash has the best voice in the history of recorded music.
He doesn't have a black belt in karate but a red belt in Taekwondo. He practised it for 4-5 years (you have probably seen a clip of him practicing it on his UA-cam channel and IG account) . He speaks "fluent" Kazakh and Russian and does okay in English, also learnt some Chinese as he has lived in China for 3 years. 🙏😊
@chjhrschh To be fair, I believe the Kazakhs who speak mainly Russian and there is a large proportion of the population who still do, do not speak fluent Kazakh/Qazaq. I note, Qazaq is slowly becoming the more popular spelling (Dimash has changed many incidents of the spelling of his romanised family name from Kudaibergen to Qudaibergen) as the country moves closer to the change from Cyrilic to the Romanised alphabet in 2025). However, it is understood that there will be extra letters to express some specific Qazaq sounds/vocabulary.

Love seeing reaction from people who have no experience with classically trained voiced, let alone - Dimash.. who's basically all alone on the top of Mount Olympus as a vocal God. Your average so-called 'rock singer' has a range of about 2 octaves.. Dimash.. minimum 7 octave range, but range isn't even half of the story.. enjoy.

Yes, classical training since 5 with no breaks. He noticed that their piano at home was flat at about 4, so perfect absolute pitch, and better sign him up for the national music academy. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And that in all registers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. Porque me he dado cuenta que no va en gustos musicales, en conocimiento ni en edades ni culturas ni nada de eso, va en algo más allá .Dimash nos eligió, nos dio una parte de su alma y su corazón a cada uno , pero para recibir ese regalo tenemos una condición y esa condición es dejarlo conectarse con nuestro ser a través de su música y como hay tantas personas en el mundo y su alma y corazón no podían ser para todos, eligió solo a algunos ,los más dispuestos a dejarse emocionar y atrapar por su voz. Por eso no debemos prestar atención a los que lo critican o no lo saben entender porque ellos no fueron elegidos, no les tocó su trozo de alma y corazón , se quedaron afuera , no dejaron que su luz los tocara , se quedaron en la oscuridad, una pena por ellos porque nunca sabrán el disfrute y el placer que su arte nos proporciona. Me lleva a pensar en la voz de Dimash y el elemento terapéutico que supuestamente tiene en muchas personas. A menudo he comentado sobre la capacidad de Dimash para transmitir emociones profundas a través de su voz (incluso cuando existen barreras del idioma, Dimash parece capaz de transmitir el sentimiento vocalmente). Por los videos que he visto y los artículos que he leído, Dimash es un ser humano muy enfocado (¡obviamente talentoso!), que tiene un profundo sentido de conexión con las cosas simples de la vida: familia, fe, belleza, niños, amistades y respeto. (No digo que estas sean las únicas cosas que valora, pero parecen ser recurrentes). His parents are both popular artists in Kazakhstan and he is singing since before school. Learned to play an instrument from his grandparents too. Yes, it's live and yes he is a phenomenal vocalist and performer. He certainly is a once-in-a-lifetime talent! He is from Kazakhstan, started music school at age 5, has studied music ever since. He was offered a place in Astana Opera House, but decided he wants to pursue a cross-over, style of music. He studied jazz and pop also and today can sing all genres from Opera to pop, rock, folk, classical and he even raps. He sings in 12-14 languages, is a multi-instrumentalist and the most humble, down-to-earth, caring human on this planet. Dimash didn’t just wake up with this voice. He has studied and trained since the age of 5. He holds master degrees in contemporary and classical voice, and is working on his PhD in music composition. He practices everyday. He stands at 6’3” tall, has a Black Belt in Karate, plays 9 instruments, and sings in over 13 languages, and speaks 3 or 4. This song is from a French Rock Opera from the 70’s. Vocal coaches and Opera Singers unanimously agree that Dimash has the best voice in the history of recorded music.
He doesn't have a black belt in karate but a red belt in Taekwondo. He practised it for 4-5 years (you have probably seen a clip of him practicing it on his UA-cam channel and IG account) . He speaks "fluent" Kazakh and Russian and does okay in English, also learnt some Chinese as he has lived in China for 3 years. 🙏😊

I note, Qazaq is slowly becoming the more popular spelling (Dimash has changed many incidents of the spelling of his romanised family name from Kudaibergen to Qudaibergen) as the country moves closer to the change from Cyrilic to the Romanised alphabet in 2025). However, it is understood that there will be extra letters to express some specific Qazaq sounds/vocabulary.

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And that in all registers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. Me lleva a pensar en la voz de Dimash y el elemento terapéutico que supuestamente tiene en muchas personas. A menudo he comentado sobre la capacidad de Dimash para transmitir emociones profundas a través de su voz (incluso cuando existen barreras del idioma, Dimash parece capaz de transmitir el sentimiento vocalmente). Por los videos que he visto y los artículos que he leído, Dimash es un ser humano muy enfocado (¡obviamente talentoso!), que tiene un profundo sentido de conexión con las cosas simples de la vida: familia, fe, belleza, niños, amistades y respeto. He is fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian with English quickly becoming his third. However, you will hear him sing in up to 15 or 16 plus languages at this time and no doubt he will do more as time goes on. He sings, composes, dances ( a little), plays multiple instruments and even acts. Oh and he can rap in Kazakh. He is also very humble and so respectful and sweet to his fans. Yes, it's live and yes he is a phenomenal vocalist and performer. He certainly is a once-in-a-lifetime talent!
He is from Kazakhstan, started music school at age 5, has studied music ever since. He was offered a place in Astana Opera House, but decided he wants to pursue a cross-over, style of music. He studied jazz and pop also and today can sing all genres from Opera to pop, rock, folk, classical and he even raps. He sings in 12-14 languages, is a multi-instrumentalist and the most humble, down-to-earth, caring human on this planet.
SOS is a song from a, 70's rock opers called Starmania, i believe, so not an original song, but nobody can sing it like Dimash. Oh yes, Dimash is also a composer and has composed some, amazing music.
