Love that you thrift flannels. I love flannels and they get better the older they get. I thrift all of mine. And I agree - it's all about the colors and the plaid! Doesn't matter to me who the designer is - although I do love my Ralph Laurens! - as long as the colors and the design are cool!
OMG! As soon as you saw the pair of convex photos, I started laughing! She passed on the Gibson bowl as well. Thanks for the funniest sense of deja vue !!😂
When my son was in high school in the 2000s flannels were huge. I spent sone real money on flannels and they would fo missing. Come to find out he was letting girls wear them because they were cold. I took him to the thrift store and we bought 8 really nice flannels for the price I had paid for one.
It makes me sad that people don’t want to keep their ancestors antique portraits in their family 😢 My parents have my paternal great great grandparents portraits and my paternal great great great grandfather’s portraits as well in the original frames. None of my father’s family members wanted them😢I’m thankful that my parents ‘s took them back in the 70’s and had them displayed ever since.❤️
Crazy Lamp Lady passed on those 2 Concave Glass Portraits a couple days ago because she didn't wish to ship them, but if I were in the area, I would have bought them, as they are getting harder to find. Much love.
The little rum mug is call a gigger mug. I saw that lawn chair and had flashbacks to my grandmothers back yard with those chairs and the matching loungers next to our doughboy pool 😂
Oh, Michael. That was a bentwood Ikea. Everyone on this western coast, of paltry means, has got the thing. But your cutaway from the erotic crucifixion had me chortling heartily. Bless you!
Hey Michael -- local viewer here 😊there is a monitor to the right up high when you go in to Valley Thrift that shows what color tags are discounted for the day. You got some good deals!
@The.Cult.of.Vintage I know everyone has pointed out the Crazy Lamp Lady connection to the oval pictures. I wasn't sure if the Post-it note was still attached when you picked them up identifying them as Mary Belle and George Flick.
I’ve struck out there. It must depend on the days. The prices are getting higher and only the sale prices( which you need to check before you start). make it worthwhile. Fairfield does 30 and 60% usually.
The prices on the clothes seemed kind of high to me - glad you got a discount. I’ve been trying to thrift my own clothes the last few years, but my good finds are few and far between.
After shouting "chaffing dish", my eyes bugged out of my head with the antique pressed glass, which is my jam. I'd not heard of Burlington Glass, but after a dive discovered it was made in Canada. Lovely color, and you got it on sale, yea! Thank you for taking us shopping
The frames with the curved glass are very similar to ones we have. Mine have Artist touched photos of my great grandmother and uncle who died as a baby in 1921. What a great find!
Those 2 portraits from the late 1890s to early 1910s. 44 was too much, but 1/2 off, great save!!! Please show us when you restore them. And the shaffing dish.
Oh my gosh. I paid 75 each for the 1s I brought decades back, and they have some chipping on the plaster. Please, I need those picture frames. Actually had my children's pictures hand tinted blaxk and white. They are beautiful in my den. Adore your videos. Blessing to you and Richard and fur babies.
Omg is this a competition. Funny I know him and crazy lamp lady shop at same places.I have noticed multiple videos that they shop at same stores and is this a dig ! Your antique videos are amazing I love them you have a great eye for exceptional taste. 10 dollar items are not like you what change!!!
I can, obviously, only speak for myself. There is no competition on my end. I appreciate the compliment. There is no change, I love this thrift store and have made several videos here already.
The pictures are fantastic. Love them the Gentleman were quit good looking. Really like the frames. I have portrait of my Great Grandmother in a frame like that. My Dad's Grandmother. Another great trip thanks for showing us around. You found two great shirts too cool. Bye till next time.
Wow you have a cart full of goodness! So fun watching you search for treasures. Loved watching you go thru the clothing, your always dressed nicely Michael. This is a great store❤
Did u see when do they usually have half price day ? Maybe jocelyn knows. Go back and get the pink stripe shirt . Im contemplating senior day at goodwill tommor
I enjoy it when I see resellers shopping at the same place. It really does show how different senses of style work. (you paid up on the clothes. I find the same stuff at Goodwill and the Bins. Although I do resell it. 😂)
Jocelyn I think was the other video I saw at this place. She turned the pictures down. I think I remember there was a person's name on one of them. They are great. Love the faux wood frames. 22 bucks or so each - not bad. Y'all have two instand ancestors now. Call them Gracie and Louie.
Last week Jocelyn had a video there. Those concave oval frame were stacked upside down on the that shelf. She flipped them over, thought about them and left them (for you),
My mom had those dishes set of the Taylor and Taylor boutonnière and then I started collecting that set and the plates themselves each were going for about $8 each but that was a few years ago not sure what they are going for now. I had the complete set of 8place setting plus all the service ware. Which can fetch a pretty penny.
I’d love it if u could find old/ vintage cookbooks! Just a thought since u browse the book sections anyway. I just saw a story about a bookshop in VT I think, that is only selling cookbooks- antique and vintage! So interesting( to me anyway!)
Guy you keep me in trouble in a good way, I all ways am on the look out for things, each thing has a story someone thought enough to give them maybe as a gift or the person bought them themselves, wish now i had kept my old toys and not used my grandmothers pink glass for targets with my dart gun no wounder my butt stayed red when i was little, marty
The reason they color block is because they have volunteers working and it's a lot easier for people to know what to do without much explanation, it's not done because it looks good. Chaffing dish. (I haven't looked it up so might be spelled wrong. Looking at the comments I got it right. :) ) The glass on those photos is convex, not concave.
@@The.Cult.Of.Vintage don't want to be a Debbie downer, but shopping with you is what have done all my life with my mom...she passed a couple of weeks ago...this experience shopping with you means so much...ty❤️
Sorry, I have to correct you. The last name of American designer Ralph Lauren is pronounced the same way we pronounce the girl’s name as in Lauren Bacall. Cheers
Some of the prices are very high- especially the clothing. You found some deals still✨️🌻

Your commentary today was one for the books!!!!
Giiiiirl...we got it on video too! 🤣
I am so glad you grabbed those portraits. When Jocelyn passed the up I was like Oh No!!!

I loved those beautiful pictures!
That is an amazing deal on the Bubble Glass picture frames
Those warming dishes are called chafing dishes…but that one doubles as a Bain Marie.🖤🇨🇦
Crazy Lamp Lady passed on those 2 Concave Glass Portraits a couple days ago because she didn't wish to ship them, but if I were in the area, I would have bought them, as they are getting harder to find. Much love.
Omg I’m cackling over here 😂 Joseph’s face 😂😂😂💕
OooOooh that smell...🤣
@@The.Cult.Of.Vintagecan’t you smell that smellll 😂😂😂😂
Probably, baby Jesus...🤭❣️
I was like WAIT A MINUTE...Jocelyn just had half this stuff! LOL.
That mask would actually be part of picking up the unusual!! Super different!
The little rum mug is call a gigger mug. I saw that lawn chair and had flashbacks to my grandmothers back yard with those chairs and the matching loungers next to our doughboy pool 😂
Can't you just feel the indentations in your legs!! 🤣🤣
Oh, Michael. That was a bentwood Ikea. Everyone on this western coast, of paltry means, has got the thing. But your cutaway from the erotic crucifixion had me chortling heartily. Bless you!
The headless Precious Moments! There's an artist who upcycles them into creepy "Not So Precious Moments" characters. They are awesome. 😂
What a haul! The shirts though were way too much!
Wow those shirt prices were crazy high.
Saw CLL look at the convex frames a few days back. She turned them over to be face up. Love the video.
great find in the mens shirts!
The portraits were my favorites-still a good buy❤
6:19 love the vintage frames. they used to all be oval like that.
Love the blue glass vase and console bowl.
Hi Michael, was yelling chafing dish over and over and you didnt hear me!😍 Wow! You found a lot of great treasures!😍
i was doing the same thing
That one was a Bain-Marie, two pans, so the bottom one gets water in it. Caring dish is a single pan, used for at table finishing of a cooked dish.🖤🇨🇦
YEeeees thank you!!!
WOW! Clothing prices were expensive imo. You found some great finds.
I am so glad you picked up those concave frames. Crazy lamp lady was there and she did not.
Hey Michael -- local viewer here 😊there is a monitor to the right up high when you go in to Valley Thrift that shows what color tags are discounted for the day. You got some good deals!
Amazing tip! Thank you! How crazy is it that I literally got every item on sale!!!!
Fantastic! I kept thinking check the color tags on those shirts you liked 😂

You know, on reflection, I agree. Being at a thrift store. Thankfully/luckily they were 50% off too
Glad you rescued the vintage picture frames! Saw them on CLL's video and was hoping they'd find a good home.
Loved the clothes shopping!
The MCM chair looks to be a pong chair from Ikea. Live the frames and the antique blue var and bowl!❤
I’m shocked by how expensive the men’s clothing was.
I would love to find the webbed lawn chair!
I love the Culver set!
Glad you picked up the 2 old frames! I can't believe Jocelyn passed them up in her previous video!
The ones Jocelyn passed up were damaged that was why she left them.
Turns out they are the same ones. There are some minor chips, but overall good condition and display BEAUTIFULLY! 😍
I saw Jocelyns video, too. She liked them but thought it cost too much work and time to repair them.
I think the frames are very nice.❣️
"Bain-marie" is another name for a vessel that keeps food warm!
Bain-Marie has to have the double pan so hot water goes in the bottom pan (that one did have two pans), only one pan is a chafing dish.🖤🇨🇦
Chafing dish also.
I loved that you looked at shirts ❤
I really enjoyed shopping for clothes with you!!
I love it when you and CLL shop the same store!! How fun!!
That chafing dish was gorgeous.
He loves it! AND, even better at $15!!
Fun trip!😀 You're going to look super hot in that flannel!🔥😅❤
I already wore it! I LOVE it!!
I have my grandparents pictures in those exact frames. I love them. Nice clothes in that vintage store!
Chafing dish!😊
I love the vintage beveled glass bubble frames. So glad you bought those portraits. Still an awesome deal ! 😂😂😂❤

I am enjoying you picking up the same stuff Misty was checking out! You'll have to compare notes!
CLL was just there. She didn’t pick up the pictures because one was broken 😢. You got some beautiful things!!
Neither is broken. There are minor nicks. They display beautifully and are in a home where they are appreciated.
The reason they color block is because they have volunteers working and it's a lot easier for people to know what to do without much explanation, it's not done because it looks good. Chaffing dish. That was YOU!?! 🤣
YAY!!!!
Everything has a color tag. It's on the monitor on the ceiling when you walk in. 25, 50, 75%. The tags just spell the color
The look on Joseph’s face😂😂😂😂😂
Chafing dish.
How does the thrifting in Ohio compare to thrifting in Pennsylvania?
Goodwills in Ohio, overall, but not every single one, is waaaaay worse in Ohio. Antique shopping is waaaaay better in Ohio!

1.99 for the plates is a good price.
Chafer. For buffets to keep food warm.
Seems like the chain thrift stores are getting more spendy though.
Agreed. I will say, as some have pointed out, the clothes are very high! Thankful for that 50% off!
