Today, we return to Valley Thrift store!
This thrift store, seriously, is WAY BETTER than Goodwill...no joke. This thrift store has consistently had vintage & antique items!
It's easy to see why so many people would want to visit!
Not to mention...a MAJOR surprise sale at the end...like EVERYTHING was on sale!

When my son was in high school in the 2000s flannels were huge. I spent sone real money on flannels and they would fo missing. Come to find out he was letting girls wear them because they were cold. I took him to the thrift store and we bought 8 really nice flannels for the price I had paid for one.

It makes me sad that people don’t want to keep their ancestors antique portraits in their family 😢 My parents have my paternal great great grandparents portraits and my paternal great great great grandfather’s portraits as well in the original frames. None of my father’s family members wanted them😢I’m thankful that my parents ‘s took them back in the 70’s and had them displayed ever since.❤️
Those warming dishes are called chafing dishes…but that one doubles as a Bain Marie.🖤🇨🇦
Love that you thrift flannels. I love flannels and they get better the older they get. I thrift all of mine. And I agree - it's all about the colors and the plaid! Doesn't matter to me who the designer is - although I do love my Ralph Laurens! - as long as the colors and the design are cool!
The little rum mug is call a gigger mug. I saw that lawn chair and had flashbacks to my grandmothers back yard with those chairs and the matching loungers next to our doughboy pool 😂

The headless Precious Moments! There's an artist who upcycles them into creepy "Not So Precious Moments" characters. They are awesome. 😂

Crazy Lamp Lady passed on those 2 Concave Glass Portraits a couple days ago because she didn't wish to ship them, but if I were in the area, I would have bought them, as they are getting harder to find. Much love.

@The.Cult.of.Vintage I know everyone has pointed out the Crazy Lamp Lady connection to the oval pictures. I wasn't sure if the Post-it note was still attached when you picked them up identifying them as Mary Belle and George Flick.

That one was a Bain-Marie, two pans, so the bottom one gets water in it. Caring dish is a single pan, used for at table finishing of a cooked dish.🖤🇨🇦

I’ve struck out there. It must depend on the days. The prices are getting higher and only the sale prices( which you need to check before you start). make it worthwhile. Fairfield does 30 and 60% usually.

"Bain-marie" is another name for a vessel that keeps food warm!
Bain-Marie has to have the double pan so hot water goes in the bottom pan (that one did have two pans), only one pan is a chafing dish.🖤🇨🇦

The prices on the clothes seemed kind of high to me - glad you got a discount. I’ve been trying to thrift my own clothes the last few years, but my good finds are few and far between.

The ones Jocelyn passed up were damaged that was why she left them.
Turns out they are the same ones. There are some minor chips, but overall good condition and display BEAUTIFULLY! 😍
I saw Jocelyns video, too. She liked them but thought it cost too much work and time to repair them.

After shouting "chaffing dish", my eyes bugged out of my head with the antique pressed glass, which is my jam. I'd not heard of Burlington Glass, but after a dive discovered it was made in Canada. Lovely color, and you got it on sale, yea! Thank you for taking us shopping

I’m shocked by how expensive the men’s clothing was.
Oh my gosh. I paid 75 each for the 1s I brought decades back, and they have some chipping on the plaster. Please, I need those picture frames. Actually had my children's pictures hand tinted blaxk and white. They are beautiful in my den. Adore your videos. Blessing to you and Richard and fur babies.

The frames with the curved glass are very similar to ones we have. Mine have Artist touched photos of my great grandmother and uncle who died as a baby in 1921. What a great find!

Those 2 portraits from the late 1890s to early 1910s. 44 was too much, but 1/2 off, great save!!! Please show us when you restore them. And the shaffing dish.

The pictures I found one last week at the Flea Market but you have two! They’re worth 100s
My mom had those dishes set of the Taylor and Taylor boutonnière and then I started collecting that set and the plates themselves each were going for about $8 each but that was a few years ago not sure what they are going for now. I had the complete set of 8place setting plus all the service ware. Which can fetch a pretty penny.

I enjoy it when I see resellers shopping at the same place. It really does show how different senses of style work.
(you paid up on the clothes. I find the same stuff at Goodwill and the Bins. Although I do resell it. 😂)
The reason they color block is because they have volunteers working and it's a lot easier for people to know what to do without much explanation, it's not done because it looks good. Chaffing dish. (I haven't looked it up so might be spelled wrong. Looking at the comments I got it right. :) ) The glass on those photos is convex, not concave.
Love the 80s pool party set 😅 give me that 80s realness all day long. Shame about the 80s bowl, your totally crazy for getting the 80s mask but that's why I love you. Do you think a retired couple had a clear out? Hence all the 80s stuff.

I’d love it if u could find old/ vintage cookbooks! Just a thought since u browse the book sections anyway. I just saw a story about a bookshop in VT I think, that is only selling cookbooks- antique and vintage! So interesting( to me anyway!)

Your antique videos are amazing I love them you have a great eye for exceptional taste. 10 dollar items are not like you what change!!!
I can, obviously, only speak for myself. There is no competition on my end. I appreciate the compliment. There is no change, I love this thrift store and have made several videos here already.
Everything has a color tag. It's on the monitor on the ceiling when you walk in. 25, 50, 75%. The tags just spell the color
Jocelyn I think was the other video I saw at this place. She turned the pictures down. I think I remember there was a person's name on one of them. They are great. Love the faux wood frames. 22 bucks or so each - not bad. Y'all have two instand ancestors now. Call them Gracie and Louie.

Goodwills in Ohio, overall, but not every single one, is waaaaay worse in Ohio. Antique shopping is waaaaay better in Ohio!
