here's a very helpful tip that i don't think was in the video if you have nobody to save, if you're the ONLY one in danger, you should use your abilities to run away instead of fighting back. shadow can be good at helping thanks to his knockback-based offense, but they don't do much to get HIMSELF out of a sticky situation. if someone is in danger, help them by attacking the killer. if YOU'RE in danger and there's nobody else around, run away; just try to make sure you can cut corners so that Charge can't reach you as easily, or that it has some type of gap so spindash can't catch up as quick. the only exception to this is tails doll IF your environment allows you to knock him off a cliff. you can use your boost to bait him into flying, then use homing attack to knock him off the platform or gain even more distance. and an extra: if you hit the killer with homing attack, hold your spacebar so you jump the moment you hit the ground. sounds stupid, but this means you get knocked slightly further away since the ground doesn't halt your momentum. this can help you get some more distance to make your escape. just be aware that doign this may also throw you off a cliff. be aware of your surroundings!
It's kinda funny how this version of Shadow is arguably better than any other version of him, yet the number of people who played him went down massively.
Shadow just needs that extra 3rd cream on top ability,doesn't need to be very good or useful but something that's characteristic of shadow or shows his strength like what new heatwave does to blaze,and HA wa sway better when it locked on,you know like an actual homing attack.
I was quite frustrated when I saw that they removed the aim from the homing attack, I can't play with it anymore because I'm mobile and I miss all the homing attacks
@goobertron9132 if ur stuck in a situation, its best to use homing attack then boost (t escape) But using boost then homing attack only takes u so far.

tbh as a shadow main, this is true, but another strat i'd say is a good one is: you use homing then u run with boost onto a higher place or farther away so u certify you wont get hit
The only thing that I have to say is that the players in the area are able to stack some nasty movement-restricting combos and shadow is the main one I play for that due to him having 2 offensive/defensive abilities so that I can get myself out of a sticky situation later (it usually doesn't work)
Will you do guide about metal sonic? After 1.3 update, he has some changes by the way, I started to like his gameplay because of the guy who t-bagged, but he used abilities so perfect that I could not do anything against him. Juking + skill on character are amazing combo
Incase anyone didn't notice in 3:56 you can also use both abilities in any order after the other one/during the ability to get more distance than with just using one and then the other, or change direction of where you're going!! (Also fire editing but the music was hella loud imo)
You forgot to mention that you must be careful using Boost and then the Stomp attack as the exe can just jump to avoid the shockwave of the stomp. Not sure if you did mention it but I think you didn't.

Idk if anybody noticed, but jump and use homing attack than use boost as soon as u used homing attack, ur basically flying & moving freely.
U gotta use homing attack first then press boost. (Before homing attack ends)
