I have generators and snowmobiles. I almost never use new spark plugs when they foul. I soak them over night, wipe them off, and hit then with a torch or set them on the wood stove. sometimes I just squirt them with either or break cleaner and wipe them off. They work just fine.
You can use a gas torch or induction bolt heater to clean a fouled plug. Heat the plug until the insulated stem is white and all the gunk is burned off. It should work like new after that. I've done it many times.
Just clean the fouled spark plugs with acid and after 10 minutes rub the electrode end with brass wire brush and also use emery paper. Rinse with water followed by rinsing with petrol. You will be amazed to see the results.
spark plugs centre metalic rod covered with china clay casing gets conduction due to penetration of oil compressed during long engine run, resulting in short circuit , with the snag , the plug is discarded and replaced with new, but such rejected plugs can be serviced and re used as new plug, the procedure is to heat plug evenly on burning coal to a dull red state and after it leave in open atmosphere to come to normat Temperature , hold the heat processed plug verticl in some tube support keeping it's point facing up , then drop Elfie wetting centre white clay and leave the plug as it is, for 18hours, there after clean the point tips with sand paper and fit it on engine. If you could do properly, I guarantee you that your plug has become better than new plug because it will have at least 2 year servie life .
i have a sparkplug sand blasting unit, makes even the thoughest foul go away, (it's really ment for aircraft plugs) but my car ones works jsut fine in it too
NGK plugs for a 1999 Corolla are about $13 for a set of 4 from NAPA. Just get a new set and they are pre-gapped and no need to do anything to the threads at all... just install snugly.
Wow this video helped alot hope it helps my issue pulled sparknplug lastnight and looked just like that gunk one hope thats keeping me from sparking thanks alot bud
Premix on 2 strokes will foul a plug. I use Kawasaki exclusively now cause of that. Not 1 foul since switch. Always use what the bike wants or what the manual tells u
Mind blown🤪 lol just kidding . I was hoping to have some more detail on how the engine is running according to the colors but there's like 5000 videos that mention that, I just can't remember lol🤕🤔
James Earnest Romanian trick: unscrew ur sparkplugs from the head, hold them in a pair of claws (pliers idk) over your oven's flame then brush them with a wire brush ;)
NGK iridium plugs that fit my outboard cost $30a piece in Europe, $10 in US. 6 plugs almost $100 after shipping and taxes from US. Still gonna replace them instead of trying to clean, as they are a pain to replace and will run fine for several hundred hours.
change piston rings and valve seal i notice that in cylinder 1 the spark plug is foul.before it was wet now its dry with black carbon on the electrode.the rpm drop below 1000rpm when engine is warm.im comfused because the engine runs fine no hesitation .can someone help please
Hoping you can help, I've used octane booster in my car and my plugs turned orange! all of them orange. did I harm anything internally, why did my plugs turn orange, will the orange come off if I quit using booster, did the plug life decease due to the orange film?? What happened?
Wtf this is the second time I fouled my spark plug I just a 2018 KTM 250 SX. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, my first one was just wet, and the one I just took out now from my bike was fouled and all burnt. The carb, air filter, engine cover and everything else is all clean. I’m running the bike exactly how the Manuel wants me too.
Fouling is a thing of the past with my prototype. My test car burns oil and can run fuel rich or lean without the plugs fouling. Also the plugs are two steps colder, so they are more prone to fouling. Still no problems with fouling!!! Manufactors did not want to buy it from me. So the prototype will be destroyed by the end of next week. Benefits of the prototype are being able to adjust the air-fuel mixture to a greater degree either leaner or richer. For an example I used it on a 1 liter 3 cylinder Honda Insight. It used half a tank of gas just going around the block once at regular driving speeds. (5 gallons of gas) If you had a top fuel dragster this would be a benefit as you could run much richer than the competition. On the other end of the spectrum a leaner burn can be achieved. Already gained 10 MPG over stock and still had room for a even leaner burn.
My 2012 silverado makes the spark plugs like that. Already changed them at 60.000 miles inspect them at 15.000 and started to look the same what can i do? should i lower the spark plug gap little? Factory gap is 40
To me, it's not a preference deal. NGK makes a better plug than anyone on the market. If you talk to any professional that does engine tuning they're going to tell you NGKs, very possibly some old schoolers Autolites. In 25 years I've only seen or heard one person who's opinion was authoritative argue for Bosch.
this video helped me more in 1.44 minutes then any 40-50
Minute video
I have seen yet
We're so happy to hear that! Glad it helped.
Right some people be like well the spark plug originated back in the 1800s like mf thats not what i came for
loving the Farming Simulator background music

I learned more in this video than I learned my entire life. I'm a sparky made man now

awesome!!
never seen a better video in my entire life

So Thankful for all of HELP !! You're my lifesaver !THANK YOU !!
Happy to help!!
Helpful info, just bought a hotter spark plug for my moped, my plugs foul up easily!
Quick question buddy does the spark go red when it fouls or just no spark at all thanks.

That sounds like a heck of a good tool to have around!

Don't trust pre -gapped plugs. Always check
ngk spark plugs best
NGK! We are the machine!🏎️

So, do you mean you use Kawasaki Spark Plugs or Kawasaki Two Stroke Oil? Or Kawasaki Bikes?
Btw I just got a fist full of NGK spark plugs. They don't taste good, but you need em!🇺🇲
Very well thanks
My 2 stroke cut out today so checked the spark and its there but its a red colour could this cause it not to run ? 🤷🏼♂️
best video ever
what i was looking for....
I agree, me too :)
Anything to be ascertained from a line of fouling that appeared on the edge above the threads, below the spark body?
Mind blown🤪 lol just kidding . I was hoping to have some more detail on how the engine is running according to the colors but there's like 5000 videos that mention that, I just can't remember lol🤕🤔
Same here I thought it's going to break down what bad spark plugs can do such as bad mileage, engine vibration etc.🙂
I'm wondering of they can be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. Guess I'll try it next time.... :)
Let us know how it goes!
Of course they would want you to replace the spark plug instead of cleaning it with a blow torch....
MeMad Max why would you clean a spark plug they are like $3
donk my spark plugs (Bosch) are 5 dollars each ! x 4 = 20 dollars. takes 10 minutes to clean them don't be lazy
whodafuk cares? How do you clean it?

thanks a lot bro

RD HP is your carburator ok?
Timmi_GER bro it’s a 2018
@@samsomgoitom2614 Lol
Fuel injectors. The newer bikes don't have carbs
Manual is a guide. Your specific area will dictate what the bike likes. Gas to oil ratios, heat range of the plug, jets, etc

Nobody cares budd
Take a nap dude. 1. Your full of shit... 2. As the other person said. No one gives a fuck.
Is your prototype a spark plug?
So how about cleaning inside the plug that needs cleaning more than the electrodes
My 2012 silverado makes the spark plugs like that. Already changed them at 60.000 miles inspect them at 15.000 and started to look the same what can i do? should i lower the spark plug gap little? Factory gap is 40
Don't ever lower the gap unless you want them to look worse. Are yours covered with oil?
O motor de combustão interna é que está errado e não a energia de ativacao
My 82 kdx 175 wont start with choke on or off has fuel coming out of the hose but when gas is on no gas comes out it gets spark but nothing
Sounds like you have a bent piston cam. I'll take it off your hands for 100$.🤠
nah you're just too lazy to clean the oily spark plug
It looks like this guy is a rep for NGK. Think money, not laziness.
Shouldn’t be oil on the sparkplugs
@@filip1997andersson lmao right, sounds to lazy to fix the leak!
Why background sound
So it cannot performed if is soaked in oil?
Best to change them they usually are pretty cheap
how to fix carbon fouling in a normal color
So can a fouled spark plug be a red’y colour?
Which plug is best. NGK, BOSCH. Please tell me Brother
Well both of them are great brands.. It really comes down to the preference. I would go BOSCH.

you forgot to tell them get it catch can
spark plack kalu Hitachi hai qa karan he
Dennis it's easy to clean the plugs , why buy new ? unless you are a mechanic in disguise?
