Bangladesh in Jackson Heights, New York

This video features my experience of Bangladesh in Jackson Heights, New York, which is a true melting pot. I explored the food and fashion culture in the diverse community and was happy to get a tour of Mama's Supermarket and Mama's Kitchen, where I tried delicious kacchi biryani and rasmali for dessert.

I was in Bangladesh once and found they cook fish curry and rice the way we do in Guyana! our ancestors came from Bengal! Nice video Shabna #NYC

Very nice.. Same race. different part of the world with different cultural traditions and foods. They are very friendly people. I had Bengal foods before . I had the sweets too. I think its what we call Potatoe ball they call aloo something .They call Balanjay Brinjal or Baingan. Guyana could also have those big tilapia but in Guyana they don't allow fishes to grow, they take it regardless of their sizes . They have manners & hospitality like Guyanaese people.
