Because of the crazy price increases,i've been shopping from coach,guess and the likes. The styles are lot better nowadays. They've been stepping up their game.
I have some Coach leather bags I bought in my 20s that have really stood the test of time. Their designs fell off for a while but they’re making a strong comeback.
Yes!!!! I started with coach, Michael Kors and now I’m back. Price increases have led me to stop shopping at these luxury stores. So glad I got most of the high demand items including a jumbo classic flap before these huge increase.
Even before the increase I had gotten one. The moment I held it in my hands it felt like I paid $600 for literal plastic and a cheap chain. I returned it right away. I can not phathom one at this current price it’s robbery and an insult as a consumer.

I agree with you on this 100%! I purchased mine in 2016. Them raising the prices again is ridiculous. Now when you look at their website I notice a lot of their items that used to be hard to get are in stock. I think a lot of people are over their prices.

You might as well buy a Birkin/Kelly... or buy a nice watch or make a downpayment on a car/home. Idk...this is getting nuts, which is why I have the same sentiments regarding consumerism. It really just turns me off and feel like these brands are getting so out of touch. There are so many other brands who are offering a lot more in terms of freshness and originality in design at a much more reasonable price.
I agree! I feel like they are trying to appeal to a certain crowd. But, then I think they part of the cause of all the fakes going around. People that could once afford these entry level pieces no longer can!

EXACTLY. I recommended it while it was still under the $500CAD mark, but I can't recommend it anymore. If I lost it, I wouldn't even think about repurchasing it.

Yes the last price increase made this mini pochette go up by $200 CDN. I bought my DE mini in 2017 for $345 + taxes CDN and it seemed a bit overpriced back then for what it was a pouch for organization in the bag. The fact that it is $950 now basically means back then could have got the trifecta for the price it is now. Inflation doesn't cause an item to be be 3 times what it used to be. Reading the comments it shows the mini pochette increased by $15-$20 CDN yearly: 2016....$330 2017....$345 2018....$365 Above increases align with inflation but LV seems to be going in a different direction of exclusivity now. Possibly to avoid the oversaturation due to Social Media, Second hand market and to be more competitive with Chanel and Hermes. Whatever, their reason they are a business and its their choice just like it is our choice to buy from them or not.

That price point is insane! When I was in high school I was really into fashion and had these luxury goods on my ~someday~ list but the love died when I realized how hard it is to make money lmao. But now that I’m in a good position financially and looking into replacing my things with better quality goods, I am shocked at how much prices of these brands have increased and they again feel unattainable. Plus, I feel like I’ve seen the designs way too much they just don’t excite me anymore. Contemporary brands however, excite me a lot! So many unique silhouttes made with actual leather so I’m just going to invest on those instead.
Yes, totally get what you are saying about contemporary brands! So many of the luxury houses are doing multiple price increases throughout the year. I can’t keep up!
Totally agree! I have 2 mp and when I got them those were already expensive. Now with the new price tag even if I didn’t have them I would not buy them. I can buy or save towards a nice luxury mini to medium size handbag with that price. I do love contemporary brand like Coach. I have 4 Nolita 19 and 1 Nolita 15. The 15 is like a mp and the 19 altho smaller than a pochette accessoires it is definitely comparable and much more affordable and LEATHER! 😄
I've heard so many people mention the Nolita line from Coach. I'm definitely going to check it out! And with the quality of LV being questionable at times...$1000CAD is not worth it ever.
@@LValiquette I think you’ll like the Nolita 15 & 19. Those are sold at Coach Outlet. It is one of their staples. I prefer the ones with a chain wristlet vs leather. The leather wristlet sticks out on its side in the wristlet position. When it is clipped as a handle position it doesn’t lay flat when not being carried by the handle. The ones with a chain is lays down and hangs like a decorative look. You can also add a crossbody strap which I do for all my Nolitas. It’s a great piece to have and so affordable! Often times they are at least 50-60% off.
I know everyone is going to hate me for this, but I love the mini pochette. I’ve said it in all my videos, this is my ride or die SLG. And, if something were to happen to mine, I would totally buy it again at the current price. I love the fact that you offer alternatives but it really depends on what you’re using the item for. I returned the Gucci key pouch you have because of the stiff, wide, base. It didn’t work for me. Is the mini pochette insanely priced? Yes. But I’d still recommend it. Love your videos. 😊
LOL. Everybody has their own opinion and I'm glad that you love it Carolyn! I still love mine and use it daily, but I just can't recommend it anymore. I've seen some of the newer models and the canvas is just not the same either. I just wonder about the quality.

I don't like Gucci at all and this gucci pouch has nothing to be compared to the elegant lv mini pochette ! But of course everyone has his own taste and ideas. You can find the lv mini pochette brandnew on second hand websites, for half price. Here in Italy the full price is actually 550€ at lv store, thats anyway a lot of money for a so tiny thing compare to a speedy bag for example !
I’m in the US and in regard to LV you would think the prices would be lower considering we now have local manufacturing of these products. And yes definitely the quality has gone way down. I will not be buying any more LV pieces.

I primarily use it to keep all my small cosmetics and pharmacy things (lip products, eye drops, band aids etc). But for the current price, a ziploc bag will do haha!

I've wanted a Louis Vuitton mini pochette for so long. Now they're USD $745, which is insane. I bought a Coach Nolita 15 for $55 on the outlet. The prices for those have also gone up, but at least they're leather, not canvas. I'm glad I have children because they keep my priorities straight.
Totally agree! I got mine when it was under $500 as well! But sad to say I love that little bag. I get so many compliments when I wear it out. And it’s so strange that a lot of people don’t even know about it.

Yeah that’s a crazy price… I got the Christmas animation mini pochette last year with the cherry blossom print for I think around $550 USD and I thought that was bad enough. Also I’m surprised your Gucci key pouch is the same price as their medium pouch - I am definitely considering that one now!
I just bought one in Germany where it was 550€ ($750 CAD) (in Europe tax is always included when you buy it so it would be like 420€ ($575 CAD) before tax as tax is 19% in Germany) It‘s a lot but it‘s also a lot less than in the US or Canada.
I definitely understand where you're coming from. The last thing I purchased from LV was a World Tour Speedy (pre-pandemic). The pandemic curbed my luxury shopping (since I wasn't going anywhere) and I ended up investing in home improvement hobbies instead. I also got married during the that time. I knew I'd resume shopping at some point, but I decided to be more selective about what I bought because I felt like curating a collection that was more meaningful to me. I even sold some of my bags to use that money on items that I wanted more. I wasn't as active on the website and/or UA-cam so I knew the price increases were happening, but I didn't really keep up with how inflated everything was getting. I wanted to purchase a new Mon Monogram Mini Pochette with my new initials but the price deterred me. I'm an LV devotee, but it's too much even for me. I ended up buying an Empreinte Pochette Metis in an attempt to grab it before the price got any higher. I hate to say it but I think I might be done with luxury for a bit. I still love the items, but I can't justify the price anymore.

Totally agree! The increase for a SLG is absurd. The quality is lacking and also there are so many fake bags out there now with the LV print that it doesn’t feel as special for me to spend $1k+ when someone that spent way less can have the same thing essentially. I’ve opted for different fashion houses at this point.
I do agree the price is ricidulous (LV has gone crazy with their increases) but I had been waiting so long for one that when one happened to be in the LV store when I popped in for something else, I had to grab it. It's currently $745 here in the US, I got mine before their last price increase, can't remember how much it was. I love it, though ... i use it as a catch all for small items in my bag.
I purchased my azur for around $365, I really wanted the monogram mini pochette but for $745 (in the US) - NO WAY! Of course now they are constantly available online🙃 I’ve been using the small pochette from the multi pochette in its place and no complaints! Also, I’m so over all of the price increases across the board - I haven’t purchased any luxury items in over 6 months and have actually sold 3 slgs in that time I never use. Lauren hope you are well I also paid 365.00 US back in 2018 I don't understand they should be glad to still have customers after Covid. Every few months the have such a huge increase. Getting hard to afford on my small retail salary. Will try Coach or Kate Spade at the outlets. In Canada it is so much more expensive I don't know how you do it. When we visit there and go out to dinner and other things for the week it can get pricy but worth it. Have a good weekend.

Honestly appreciate your honest opinion. I just got into buying and collecting luxury SLG’s I’m big on little wallets and card holders (kind of getting into mini bags too) and I first started off with LV and Balenci but as I’ve looked more into stuff and other luxury brands too I’ve questioned myself on if I want to keep LV in mind with adding any of their pieces, especially because I heard their going to keep going up in their prices too which is upsetting because I’ve seen certain things of theirs that are beautiful but I’ve questioned if it really is worth what they are trying to sell it for. Same for Chanel although I’ve fallen hard for Chanel lol but thank you for this video!
Yes! LV was my first real entry into luxury. I still love the LV SLG’s that I have, most of them have been amazing. I just wish they didn’t have so many price increases! I haven’t got into Chanel yet, I feel like that will be a slippery slope😂
If you have a bucket bag you can get the replacement pouch it a little bit big than the mini pochette but exactly the same it just doesn’t have the chain that all .

I purchased mine last summer for $465 and it was special order since it’s impossible to find. It had gone up from$310 when I first wanted it. I thought $465 was too much honestly but I really wanted it and thought it would increase. Glad I got it when I did since now it’s basically twice that price!

Coach Nolita in the various sizes, leathers, and designs are GORGEOUS, and is EXACTLY the same, but better quality! I would NEVER buy the LV version at these prices. I have no LV pieces, and wanted to start off with SLGs and their classic bags, but no way! I’ll put my money into real investments. Same with Hermes, and Chanel! Shame on them, and the folks who keep feeding this ridiculousness. YOU teach brands and people how to treat you!
Honestly, the only reason LV is REALLY consistent with their price increases is because they don’t want to lose their top customers to other high end brands like Chanel, Hermes, etc. & they don’t want just anybody to shop with their brand anymore. Yea inflation is going on, but they’ve had their price increases very often lately & it never used to be this often. Unfortunately, yes it’s corporate greed.

Insanity!!!! I’ve seen something lately though I have NEVER seen before on the LV website which is mini pochettes IN STOCK!!!! Pochette accessories and a few other always out of stock items are now available since the prices doubled. Just so glad I got mine for $365 a few years ago. I would NEVER pay their current prices. COACH has always make a fabulous product! Maybe time to look at some other brands. I’d feel like such a fool paying $900 for something that a ziplock bag would do just as good a job!
I love my mini pochettes and find it the most useful SLG. I use it as a mini purse all the time with a belt from other bags. I just bought a new Empreinte one for s1010 cad and no regrets.
I use a Balenciaga coin purse (old school City-style) as a catch-all, and I love it! It doesn’t hold as much as the MP but it’s still got a decent capacity.
I saw this in monogram canvas, thinking I might like it but no, I don't.. the price is ridiculous and it's only canvas. I bought this in vernis amarante last week and that one is just beautiful and I couldn't let it go hehehe. I find the amarante stunning and classy.

I agree, I paid £230 for mine in 2020, its now £515!! when I purchased mine I nearly sold it as I had a feeling of regret... I dont think its even worth what I paid, I ended up keeping it as it 'hard to find' ... I would not buy at the new price.

I got mine in Sept 2021 when my parents went to visit my sister who lives in London. I was "lucky"; got mine for around 280 quid which I thought was ridiculous. Now the price is (even more) INSANE.

That price point is insane! When I was in high school I was really into fashion and had these luxury goods on my ~someday~ list but the love died when I realized how hard it is to make money lmao. But now that I’m in a good position financially and looking into replacing my things with better quality goods, I am shocked at how much prices of these brands have increased and they again feel unattainable. Plus, I feel like I’ve seen the designs way too much they just don’t excite me anymore. Contemporary brands however, excite me a lot! So many unique silhouttes made with actual leather so I’m just going to invest on those instead.
Yes, totally get what you are saying about contemporary brands! So many of the luxury houses are doing multiple price increases throughout the year. I can’t keep up!
Totally agree! I have 2 mp and when I got them those were already expensive. Now with the new price tag even if I didn’t have them I would not buy them. I can buy or save towards a nice luxury mini to medium size handbag with that price.
I do love contemporary brand like Coach. I have 4 Nolita 19 and 1 Nolita 15. The 15 is like a mp and the 19 altho smaller than a pochette accessoires it is definitely comparable and much more affordable and LEATHER! 😄
I've heard so many people mention the Nolita line from Coach. I'm definitely going to check it out! And with the quality of LV being questionable at times...$1000CAD is not worth it ever.
@@LValiquette I think you’ll like the Nolita 15 & 19. Those are sold at Coach Outlet. It is one of their staples. I prefer the ones with a chain wristlet vs leather. The leather wristlet sticks out on its side in the wristlet position. When it is clipped as a handle position it doesn’t lay flat when not being carried by the handle. The ones with a chain is lays down and hangs like a decorative look. You can also add a crossbody strap which I do for all my Nolitas. It’s a great piece to have and so affordable! Often times they are at least 50-60% off.
I know everyone is going to hate me for this, but I love the mini pochette. I’ve said it in all my videos, this is my ride or die SLG. And, if something were to happen to mine, I would totally buy it again at the current price. I love the fact that you offer alternatives but it really depends on what you’re using the item for. I returned the Gucci key pouch you have because of the stiff, wide, base. It didn’t work for me. Is the mini pochette insanely priced? Yes. But I’d still recommend it. Love your videos. 😊
LOL. Everybody has their own opinion and I'm glad that you love it Carolyn! I still love mine and use it daily, but I just can't recommend it anymore. I've seen some of the newer models and the canvas is just not the same either. I just wonder about the quality.

I don't like Gucci at all and this gucci pouch has nothing to be compared to the elegant lv mini pochette ! But of course everyone has his own taste and ideas. You can find the lv mini pochette brandnew on second hand websites, for half price. Here in Italy the full price is actually 550€ at lv store, thats anyway a lot of money for a so tiny thing compare to a speedy bag for example !
I’m in the US and in regard to LV you would think the prices would be lower considering we now have local manufacturing of these products. And yes definitely the quality has gone way down. I will not be buying any more LV pieces.

I primarily use it to keep all my small cosmetics and pharmacy things (lip products, eye drops, band aids etc). But for the current price, a ziploc bag will do haha!

I've wanted a Louis Vuitton mini pochette for so long. Now they're USD $745, which is insane. I bought a Coach Nolita 15 for $55 on the outlet. The prices for those have also gone up, but at least they're leather, not canvas. I'm glad I have children because they keep my priorities straight.
Totally agree! I got mine when it was under $500 as well! But sad to say I love that little bag. I get so many compliments when I wear it out. And it’s so strange that a lot of people don’t even know about it.

I just bought one in Germany where it was 550€ ($750 CAD) (in Europe tax is always included when you buy it so it would be like 420€ ($575 CAD) before tax as tax is 19% in Germany) It‘s a lot but it‘s also a lot less than in the US or Canada.
I’ve heard so many speak about buying bags in Europe and saving money! I love that tax is included in the price you see too.

I definitely understand where you're coming from. The last thing I purchased from LV was a World Tour Speedy (pre-pandemic). The pandemic curbed my luxury shopping (since I wasn't going anywhere) and I ended up investing in home improvement hobbies instead. I also got married during the that time. I knew I'd resume shopping at some point, but I decided to be more selective about what I bought because I felt like curating a collection that was more meaningful to me. I even sold some of my bags to use that money on items that I wanted more. I wasn't as active on the website and/or UA-cam so I knew the price increases were happening, but I didn't really keep up with how inflated everything was getting. I wanted to purchase a new Mon Monogram Mini Pochette with my new initials but the price deterred me. I'm an LV devotee, but it's too much even for me. I ended up buying an Empreinte Pochette Metis in an attempt to grab it before the price got any higher. I hate to say it but I think I might be done with luxury for a bit. I still love the items, but I can't justify the price anymore.

Totally agree! The increase for a SLG is absurd. The quality is lacking and also there are so many fake bags out there now with the LV print that it doesn’t feel as special for me to spend $1k+ when someone that spent way less can have the same thing essentially. I’ve opted for different fashion houses at this point.

I do agree the price is ricidulous (LV has gone crazy with their increases) but I had been waiting so long for one that when one happened to be in the LV store when I popped in for something else, I had to grab it. It's currently $745 here in the US, I got mine before their last price increase, can't remember how much it was. I love it, though ... i use it as a catch all for small items in my bag.

I purchased my azur for around $365, I really wanted the monogram mini pochette but for $745 (in the US) - NO WAY! Of course now they are constantly available online🙃
I’ve been using the small pochette from the multi pochette in its place and no complaints! Also, I’m so over all of the price increases across the board - I haven’t purchased any luxury items in over 6 months and have actually sold 3 slgs in that time I never use. LV has always been my favorite but I’m definitely taking an indefinite break from the brand. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!❤️

Lauren hope you are well I also paid 365.00 US back in 2018 I don't understand they should be glad to still have customers after Covid. Every few months the have such a huge increase. Getting hard to afford on my small retail salary. Will try Coach or Kate Spade at the outlets. In Canada it is so much more expensive I don't know how you do it. When we visit there and go out to dinner and other things for the week it can get pricy but worth it. Have a good weekend.

Thinking of getting the longchamp pliage city bag the coated canvas. They say its comparable to the Neverfull MM. Or possibly the Christian Louboutin Cabata tote.

Honestly appreciate your honest opinion. I just got into buying and collecting luxury SLG’s I’m big on little wallets and card holders (kind of getting into mini bags too) and I first started off with LV and Balenci but as I’ve looked more into stuff and other luxury brands too I’ve questioned myself on if I want to keep LV in mind with adding any of their pieces, especially because I heard their going to keep going up in their prices too which is upsetting because I’ve seen certain things of theirs that are beautiful but I’ve questioned if it really is worth what they are trying to sell it for. Same for Chanel although I’ve fallen hard for Chanel lol but thank you for this video!
Yes! LV was my first real entry into luxury. I still love the LV SLG’s that I have, most of them have been amazing. I just wish they didn’t have so many price increases! I haven’t got into Chanel yet, I feel like that will be a slippery slope😂
If you have a bucket bag you can get the replacement pouch it a little bit big than the mini pochette but exactly the same it just doesn’t have the chain that all

I purchased mine last summer for $465 and it was special order since it’s impossible to find. It had gone up from$310 when I first wanted it. I thought $465 was too much honestly but I really wanted it and thought it would increase. Glad I got it when I did since now it’s basically twice that price!

Coach Nolita in the various sizes, leathers, and designs are GORGEOUS, and is EXACTLY the same, but better quality! I would NEVER buy the LV version at these prices. I have no LV pieces, and wanted to start off with SLGs and their classic bags, but no way! I’ll put my money into real investments. Same with Hermes, and Chanel! Honestly, the only reason LV is REALLY consistent with their price increases is because they don’t want to lose their top customers to other high end brands like Chanel, Hermes, etc. & they don’t want just anybody to shop with their brand anymore. Insanity!!!! I’ve seen something lately though I have NEVER seen before on the LV website which is mini pochettes IN STOCK!!!! Pochette accessories and a few other always out of stock items are now available since the prices doubled. Just so glad I got mine for $365 a few years ago. I would NEVER pay their current prices. COACH has always make a fabulous product! Maybe time to look at some other brands. I’d feel like such a fool paying $900 for something that a ziplock bag would do just as good a job!

I love my mini pochettes and find it the most useful SLG. I use it as a mini purse all the time with a belt from other bags. I just bought a new Empreinte one for s1010 cad and no regrets.

I saw this in monogram canvas, thinking I might like it but no, I don't.. the price is ridiculous and it's only canvas. I bought this in vernis amarante last week and that one is just beautiful and I couldn't let it go hehehe. I find the amarante stunning and classy.
