- Steve Cha (aka Rockstar Eater) continues his Asian food tour in LA by trying Singaporean food for the first time, at Singapore’s Banana Leaf in Los Angeles! Singapore’s Banana Leaf is located in the Original Farmer’s Market next to the Beverly Grove, and is one of the most unique food spots you’ll find in the Farmer’s Market. There are not that many Singaporean restaurants in Los Angeles, so Banana Leaf is one of the few restaurants that serve authentic Singapore food in Singaporean street food style. They have all the Singaporean food classics like laksa, beef rendang, and chicken satay.
So what is Singaporean food like? Find out in this episode that documents the best Singaporean restaurant in Los Angeles, in this Singapore food mukbang.

LAKSA IS MY FAVORITE!!! I haven’t had it in so so long!!! It’s so so rich and I love coconut! I can’t believe this was your first time having it?!?!
Yes. First time for everything!
Hello friend nice meeting you
As a Singaporean, that peanut sauce looks watery. Normally it's suppose to be thick; and depending on the person who cooks it, it's either spicy or non spicy.
But great video by the way, would love to visit there one day! :)

Thank you 😋
Hello friend nice meeting you
Steve, you need to visit Prata House in West Covina. Singaporean restaurant featuring Indian, Sri Lankan cuisine. Try the murtabak a flat bread stuffed with meat, the kotu roti, a stir fried shredded bread dish. Their food is outstanding. I have no affiliation with them. Just love their food.
Thanks for the info.
Another great broadcast. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
My wife loves Singapore signature Popiah.

Hey Steve, glad to see the Singapore culture in the US! Would love to try a US rendition. If you ever come to Singapore, I'll be more than happy to take you around and show you what you just had. Tuna sambal is not really a thing here. Chicken Satay is a bit smaller here and it comes in other meats such as pork, beef, and mutton.
Cheers man! Btw, if you come here, help me get an In and Out burger 😂

My brother does his Foody Fashion show on my channel also.
He wears songs now.
Thanks for sharing!!
The satay peanut sauce should be thick and not watery. Also as a Singaporean, I have never heard of Tuna sambal dish and I love anything with sambal in it. Make a trip to SIngapore and try the real Singapore food :) Good job by the way.

@@RockstarEater but this is someone only focus on singapore, even since u r from LA
It is NOT the only Singaporean food in LA. Check out borneo Kalimantan and QQ kopitiam.
Many restaurants combine Singapore, Malaysian, and Indonesia together, but Banana Leaf is the only one in LA that markets itself as a SIngaporean restaurant. So in that sense, it's the only restaurant of its kind in LA.
Borneo Kalimantan is Indonesian.
Come to Singapore and try the real thing,!!
Hopefully someday. Thanks. Please continue to follow my channel to see other great food videos!

As much as I like seafood, I could never get into the tuna and tomato combination.
Yeah, it was my first time, but I was pleasantly surprised.
