Hi Linda - We did take our time and carefully did a straight stitch in the middle of the scallops on this project. You can see this better in some of the detailed shots on the product page: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p168538 -Michelle
I really like this little project but would have liked to have seen some of the machine stitching around at least some of the heart pieces (I think that would really help some of the beginner sewers who might be watching). I understand that time might be an issue when creating these videos but in the long run it would be an asset to the overall tutorial. Thank you. (PS: I'm not a beginner, I've been sewing since I was 8 years old and now, I'm 70+). Love!

Hi safarichey - We have included that as a traceable shape in the PDF pattern for this project, so you can just trace the design onto your fusible product, then follow the instructions. :) -Michelle
Typically you can wear it on your index or middle finger. Thimbles are good to wear to protect your finger from the eye-end of the needle. Hope this helps and thanks for your comment! - Abby

I’m enjoying working on the Crazy Heart wall hanging but I have to ask: How were you able to stitch around the hearts on the scallops?

What wt. thread for the bobbin?
I was also wondering...
You would use your regular 50-60wt thread in the bobbin. Hope this helps :) -Michelle

If I am using the pdf pattern only, how would I get the scalloped edge design on the main background heart? any ideas?

What finger do you wear the thimble on? e

Is missing how to put all together once the hearts are done.?
