yo guys hows the audio sounding like. I just got a mic and can y'all tell me how it sounds so I can make improvements?
The audio sounds great ngl
Definitely sounds better
ok bet imma work on improving it
sounds great.
Its amazing pookie
1:50 kubo said it himself, he intentionally makes things hidden (foreshadowing) because he wants people to always find new revelations everytime they reread the series
9:35 welcome to the bleach fandom ❤
completely agreed man! Kubo is a artist in his craft!
EXACTLY! People seem to not realize that Bleach isn't "one and done", you go back and notice new details every time. It's a very deep, emerging, and well-thought-out story that climaxes as pure perfection.
Supereyepatchwolf did IRREPARABLE damage to Bleach's reputation. Sure he took it back after a while, but the damage was done and the parroting game of hater telephone hasnt stopped since. We love new fans ❤
damn bro, its crazy what mass media can do to a show. thank for sticking with me ❤🙏
Still, that video was a non-apology. All of his “criticisms” of the series were either his personal opinion or straight up false. It is very clear that he read it without thinking much.
@@EldritchSamaat least it seems like bleach has had an amazing comeback in tybw
bingo. and not just him. a lot of content creators with millions of followers said: Bleach is too simple, the fights are too predictable, its just watching two guys whack each other with swords and then activate their power ups.. I swear to god it almost felt like they all got together to parrot the same non sense so their videos would get boosted by all of them sharing the same collective lie...
Honestly, the video where he took stuff back, led to him saying stuff I was even more mind-boggling and dumb though to be honest, I mean, how can we forget about him saying that Grimmjoow has a cameo in the thousand year blood war and still consider him to be a credible source of criticism on this app Like that’s not a small blender that’s a very big one when that character just so happens to be one of the most important characters of sad story arc
The thing is when kubo doesn’t hold their audience’s hand when reading or watching this series, a certain amount of them would bash kubo calling him a terrible writer. It’s like a toddler crying when he/she doesnt get fed
yeah thats what makes Bleach so interesting to me. it feels much more rewarding to find answers yourself
just bc their understanding is mid doesn't make the show mid, also they call kubo a terrible writer is so hypocrite bc they can't even make their own story and become so popular as bleach.
Just like football fans, they will be the ones who know everything and will boo the professional players even though they have never played in a professional match.
I've discussed this a lot with my friend who's also a massive Bleach fan. We've come to the conclusion that if Kubo dumbed down the plot a little the normies would go wild and praise it for being outstanding.
yup. to this day the blade is me is a peak of a twist and you could only guess it if you were paying attention
@@bryana.escaleralopez did you mean
The Blade "IS" Me?
Yeah, that's the most misunderstood distraction that kubo ever make and everyone fell for it.
I hate the people that trashed Bleach when it was gone then all of a sudden when it returned they switch up saying it’s peak, those type of people are the worst. 🤦♂️
yeah me too
They just riding the hype train for views 😂
yeah bro I saw NOBODY talking about bleach like maybe 3 years ago 😭
Maybe they like the new arc.
I like bleach
But the fillers is a whole arc 😢
Compared to One piece where it varies from 1 or 5 episodes.
World building isnt just places in the world. World building is the vastness of thr world, the intricacies like central 46, the story of the soul king who he is and why he is, the formation of the gotei, the rukongai and its districts, soul societys royal families, the menos forest, hell, the soul kings body, and theres probably a hundred other things im forgetting to mention.
It all feels so intricately made and whenever were introduced to someone new into the story they have a place in the story that feels so natural.
+ there is not only those three major planes. There are other regions that we are told exist and have a connection to the world already established.
Besides... Every shinigami has an inner world. That is in for a vastness.
Of course this isn't comparable to a world like One Piece where the goal of the Strawhat's crew is Exploration. This helps to make the viewer in the first seat to view directly the vastness.
In that regard, Bleach stays in the same regions unless invited. Instead, you have to gather lore to know how deep this world is.
@@davidCcode yea of course i dont claim for bleach to have better world building than one piece but if all bleach had were the multiple worlds of existence even naruto would have better world buiding
yea 99% of the things you mentioned we never got to see , valley of screams nothing, hell is mentioned but never shown as of yet, royal families we never got to see , central 46 was literally killed off screen when it was introduced, we got basically no concrete lore on the SK in story outside of the light novels (until cour 3 as of recently) , like do you guys even know about klub outside? where kubo answers questions. kubo does the bare minimum he doesn't give you good enough information on the lore to actually figure out without the Light Novels.
@@halojeff15 yea and im completely fine with that, i like having to dig to actually get any information on this stuff cause it gives the story a sense of scale. Its there if you want it but if you dont then you have the main story where it genuinely reflects a lot of the lore that kubo has in his head but never mentions or displays on screen.
Because of that everytime he revels something its somewhat like an aha moment where everything makes sense retrospectively
@@343JustMe yeah and that's fine but kubo isn't the only one capable of doing that, most storytellers do call backs, do setup ups , do small hints etc. I'm not saying that kubo isn't special at what he does but based off of how common these things are in storytelling, the main surface level of bleach to casuals would be the main lore which casuals would say isn't special since you need to do a darksouls like deep dive to find and most people do not have the time or understanding to do so and that's not kubo fault exactly but to me i gotta disagree when people say bleach is the most mature of the big 3 since it is more just a grim atmosphere more so than about maturity like a vinland saga.
Bleach got 3 themes ongoing between the 3 major factions , Japanese for the soul society, Spanish for Huocco Mundo and German for the Quincy.
British for fullbring
@tylerwhite9694 so that explains why Tsukishima has to stab people to use his Fullbring
People forgot how to appreciate something that's actually good but instead they choose to glaze anime's that are mid at best
It's so great to see new people giving bleach a shot. I never understood the hate for it, all I know is that most of it stems from like 3 big youtube videos. Along with the 10 year wait for the anime to return. W video man. Hope you enjoy the rest of the story.
thanks bro ❤🙏 yeah there are just so many naruto and one piece fans who just make it their life goal to shit on bleach its crazy 😭
yeah, I've also heard that many fans were criticizing Tite Kubo for putting the anime on a huge hiatus, when at that time Tite Kubo was going through health issues yet he was still getting a ton of hate. I might be wrong, so don't take my word for it but It's what I heard. Of course, It's a minority but still, kinda disgusting..
@@sharkievaded yeah whatever happens, nobody should EVER flame an author
Never saw a single hate post about it, 99% of comments glaze the ish out of it and Kubo, I think mostly due to nostalgia. People dogpile modern shonen anime because "it has dumb plot" etc. etc. (which is by the way much more logical and reasonable than the big three, for example), but I've never seen anyone jump on OG dumb power fantasy shows (full of deus ex machina plot "twists") like Bleach or Naruto. The world doesn't revolve around anitubers as much as you think (the only exception being SAO back in the day, which did get quite bad reputation due to anitubers).
Bleach is definitely better than people give it credit for, but it does deserve the hate it gets.
Bleach was the first of the big three to really abuse filler seasons. It's easy to get into the series now that most of the material is out. You can just binge watch/read the content. However, most of the bad blood came towards it because for the longest time, the first major arc of the story was without question the best arc of the series and the remainder felt at times pointless, repetitive, badly paced, and if you were just watching the anime, it was even more irritating because right when you thought it was going somewhere, you'd be slapped with 20+ episodes of a filler.
Consuming Bleach for the first time today is easy. You could ride the highs off that first incredible arc all the way to the end of the series. To understand the hatred it gets, you have to have been there weekly as the episodes released.
The reason why people hate BLEACH cuz in their eyes it's "too realistic" & that Ichigo "doesn't have a goal" which is a lie he does have goal, you have Naruto & Luffy who want to be the next hokage & be the king of the pirate but those are not goals that's a DREAM goals, you have Goku wants to be the strongest fighter in the universe, but Ichigo's goal wants to be strong enough to protect those that he carried & ove & protect his hometown.
He's basically like Spider-Man if you really think about it Ichigo hides his hero life as a Soul Reaper to protect lives and not let anyone know about it, the same goes for Peter Parker to hide his superhero life as Spider-Man. They both have with great power, comes great responsibility.
Ichigo as a main character is so much misunderstood, I've made a video about it along with video about Orihime is NOT useless on my channel.
"Ichigo doesn't have a goal"
Bitch, that's what makes him so relateable. Do YOU have a goal? No, you just live your life and shit happens and you try to work around all of the shit that's happening. Ichigo is only unrelatable to 10 year old kids who get their lunch made by mommy and dream of becoming an athlete or some shit.
"I just want to live my life, but these BS monsters keep bothering me and my loved ones." is some of the most relateable shit out there instead of: "I want to rule the world whatever the cost." No, you don't, be real.
@@tasolynexactly! He's fifteen at the start of the series. How many 15-year-olds have you ever met with coherent long term life goals? I don't remember thinking much further ahead than the next 6-12 months at 15
For alot of people ichigo lost that relatabily because he wasn't just some normal fifteen year old he's basically artificial jesus the only thing that separates him from the other two is that he doesn't have a goal I think bleach is a great series along with all the other big three but I just never got into them much and I can't relate to ichigo's charater because it turns out everything was destined and originally that separated it from naruto and one piece because ichigo was destined to be strong and the hard work he puts in is non existent you want to protect your freinds how many ass whooping I'd it gonna take to start training consistently you beat aizen with three months imagine if you just kept training instead of rinse and repeat every time a big bad shows up.
And the problem I have with bleach is that they make the villains too smart and stupid.
Their us no reason aizen shouldn't have used kyoka suigetsu their is no reason ywach should have let his royal guards fight separately.
IF he had made them into squads or atleast send grade to support pernada the soul reapers are done perhaps almost killed kenpachi with grade or anyone else supporting him the war would have been over in a second.
And asking perhaps the most broken send him with with lille barro.
If he had been with lille barrow the sunshine and nanotechnology fight would have ended in two seconds.
And ywach has no reasons for these mistakes he can see the future.
And don't tell me it's limited he literally forsaw jugram as his right hand man surely he can see atleast twenty four hours.
It just seems every royal guard had a weakness that could not be exploited if they all fought together it's like demon slayer if all the upper mokns fought together.
The sunrise countdown ark last ten seconds max
@@animeuploader4992 Did you even watch the show? Ichigo doesn't sit on his ass until Aizen comes around. He's just a high school kid, then he encounters Rukia while knowing nothing about hollows and soul reeapers. Then he gets his powers, basically instantly he has to save Rukia. While he's doing that Aizen bestrays the Soul Society and right away he goes to train with Urahara to save Soul Society from Aizen. Dude doesn't sit still at all. He doesn't even know he has to train for Yhwach's coming and he doesn't know about his quincy heritage until Yhwach hints at it and his father tells him.
Ichigo doesn't sit still from the start to the defeat of Tsukishima. After that he has no reason to assume he can get any stronger. He needs his bankai to be broken and a visit to Squad Zero for that. All of which he can't know about until Yhwach.
But no, apparently this guy has to try to become a literal God for him to be relatable, what nonsense is that. Lol.
The entire part about villains not fighting ideally is just disingenuous because that shit happens in every anime ever, including One Piece and Naruto.
It's funny. I have an acquaintance that once told me Bleach has bad characters, world building, and overall writing. I asked him to explain why he thought that, and every reason he gave me was just flat out incorrect. For example, he said the characters are bad because "nobody develops and only gets power ups". The most ludicrous statement I've ever heard, but ever since then, I realized that A LOT of the hate towards Bleach is from people who genuinely have little to no media literacy. And I don't mean this in a "Bleach fans are so intellectual" way. It's just that, the ones who are so vocal about their distaste for Bleach seem to quite literally not be able to comprehend it, or just outright refuse to indulge in it at all. It's such a bizarre phenomenon and I'll never understand it.
But I digress, this was a pretty great video. Always happy to see more people at the very least give Bleach a chance, and see the bigger picture. Welcome aboard.
I've luckily never met anyone who legitimately dislikes Bleach. I have friends who hate Shōnen anime/manga, and that's understandable, but I know no one that likes Naruto or One Piece and hates Bleach. I don't feel like Bleach hate is quite as widespread as people think.

@@bluddu0it’s just a show bro calm down

@@TMSkinny what's his opinion now
It's so fascinating to me, as an OG Bleach fan, to see how things have shifted and opinions have changed so drastically in the years since Bleach's finale. I remember how things were before, how Bleach was always the odd man out, how people couldn't understand what fans like me saw in it and why we liked it more than something like Naruto. Naruto and Bleach were wrapping up around the same time as one another and, when Bleach released its final issue, I remember the Naruto fans laughing at Bleach fans, saying how we had wasted all that time in such a terrible story.
But then, Naruto wrapped up and, though no one wanted to say it, the ending left a LOT to be desired, but the difference was that Bleach's ending wasn't good because Kubo was sick and couldn't do things the way he wanted to while Naruto's ending was what Kishimoto wanted. At the time, people still ranked Naruto far above Bleach, but, over the years and as the two universes continued to expand, things shifted. Burn the Witch came out and fans like me absolutely adored it, then the Hell Arc was teased and I STILL CAN'T F-ING WAIT! Meanwhile, Boruto began to release and, slowly, people realized that it...wasn't very good, ranging from kind of average to downright BAD bad. Samurai 8 didn't help things and I've seen a number of people point out how ironic it is that Burn the Witch turned out so good and people are eagerly awaiting it while Samurai 8 actually got canned. Burn the Witch got all the best of Kubo's writing while Samurai 8 got all the worst of Kishimoto's.
I think Boruto has really caused people to look back on Naruto and slowly sour on it. The Chunin Exams is still pretty much flawless, but so much that was set up in Naruto never paid off, swapped out instead for new things that pulled it further and further away from what Naruto used to be. Personally, I stopped keeping up with Naruto after I was SO EXCITED to meet the other jinchuriki alongside Naruto and Gaara only to discover in Shippuden that literally all of them other than Bee were already dead. It was just such a letdown that I wasn't really interested in much else, though some things like Pain are pretty cool.
And now with the Thousand Year Blood War not just getting an anime adaptation, but actually getting a second chance to tell the story the way Kubo had wanted to, it's been incredibly vindicating for me to see people finally GET IT and finally see just how good Bleach really is! :D
thanks for understanding me bro ❤️🙏🏾 so many people been sleeping on bleach it’s crazy
I'm an old fart at the age of 31 now, and I read Bleach releases weekly when I was 14-15 all the way to the conclusion. Back then I was in forums and very active in the otaku community.
Half the people that watched Bleach dropped it in the Hueco Mundo arc, and of the people remaining dropped it again during the Fullbringer Arc.
While I do know that the filler sagas wer entirely responsible for the drops with the anime only crowd; all of what you said is true, but it's not all.
Not only was Kubo sick, Bleach was low key cancelled because there was this refusal to let him write things and keep rushing him (proof is in the pudding on how much more TYBW is adding; upcoming Hell Arc, Burn the Witch as an entire spin-off possible), and kept doing editorializing that didn't make sense to things Kubo wanted to do (i.e. Hitsugaya vs Hallibel having a different conclusion because Hitsugaya was at the top of popularity pools). Kubo left on extreme bad terms with Jump (and it wasn't the first time. People who know about Zombie Powder know what I'm talking about). Online discourse around Bleach put it somewhere near Death Note, as a story that peaked in the middle and didn't know how to conclude, and it was such a massive disservice. I feel like a lot of it was pushed not only by the Naruto crowd, but the One Piece one too. There was an ever present narrative by the One Piece crowd that "look at our show, it's still the same thing it said it was, it didn't have to massively change into a Dragon Ball clone to keep up". The truth of the matter is that most people, either influenced or through "Death Note fatigue" gave up on Bleach FAR before the Quincy Arc, and missed out on a lot of peak.
Naruto was also heavily editorialized, but Kishimoto was a good boy that played ball right every step of the way. The finale of Naruto was written with the Kaguya epilogue just to give Jump an endless gold mine that allowed Kishimoto to wash his hands, give the IP to Ikemoto and still cash checks. That back fired massively as Ikemoto bleed the franchise to death. Samurai 8 failed, Kishimoto did some work to repair its reputation but its obvious how limited his input on the series has been since then; and that he's not back at the helm like Jump has stated (art remains subpar, plot remains subpar)
One Piece is the outlier. The fanbase is the most annoying and vocal. While the story is good, Oda has backtracked on a lot of things. He has introduced some ass pull concepts, and has missed the mark on things that divided the fandom. But overall it still prints so much money that it is the only Jump property that doesn't get editorialization.
What I think is most funny is that while Jump kept on getting bangers like MHA, Jujutsu and Demon Slayer, most of them were only massive successes for a couple of years, with plot's that didn't, wouldn't or couldn't, last a third of what the Big 3 went on for. They must have offered Kubo a lot of control over the IP and a nice sum of cash for him to take them back. And the results of what Bleach can do with some TLC are so, so obvious. And there are other factors that are plain to see too. Bleach original anime, bless its heart, had a lot of trouble figuring out filler. It couldn't add an extra island or mission in between the important spots like the other shows could. It also couldn't get away with stretching things the same way Naruto and One Piece did, because it would be so obviously annoying. I know TYBW, Burn the Witch and Hell Arc are all in the cards for the future of Bleach and are all happening, but Bleach's first anime could really use the Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood treatment.
@@jpcsdutra soo well put and i definitely agree with u, ...BLEACH remake should be very important for the IP to stay Relevant for Decades.
I always thought bleach was the Black Sheep last born. It decided to go on it's own path different from it's two successful older siblings (Naruto and One Piece) and because of that people were so quick to dismiss it just because it's different, not even bothering giving a proper chance.
perfectly said man, I respect that it took a different route
Ichigo Kurosaki was pretty refreshing, fillers killed its original run but it had a comeback like no other, truly number one strawberry
Also Orihime has one of the sad backstory on her life. That's why I supported her too.
fr bro that shit was sad
Personally I do think bleach a strong suits is its character writing and it's fights and its ability to create a moment. And its ability to truly change a tone and mood.
agreed bro!
1:59 bleach is the only show that doesn't rely on statements like other anime(especialy one piece that heavy on narrator statement, eventhough narrator statement also can be wrong just like luffy vs kaido fight).
and you have to know the basic facts of bleach before deciding something as a fact or not, and honestly you can't just be anime only because the information you get will not be complete and everything you know becomes ambiguous, because this fact is what makes me really like this show, bleach has many hidden facts if you really know the basic facts.
and a little warning never assume all statements from the characters are facts, because that is the way of mid readers and watchers, they read bleach and like they read other anime, and that is a big mistake.
Because kubo always plays in the realm of ambiguity, so understanding the basic facts of bleach is very important to know the meaning of the whole story.
yeah bro kubo's a tricky one 😅
I disagree about not being able to be anime only, you very much can be and still love and appreciate kubo's genius
@@terakoinfinity9523 did you read my reason why i said that? Lol very ignorant.
@justwind6930 of course, you go straight to insulting others for no reason. Typical keyboard warrior. Then, please substantiate your claim and give me examples of these so called facts and statements that you don't get in the anime that lead to ambiguity and a lack of understanding of what Kubo was trying to portray.
If you can't, it's just a baseless claim that you use as a crux to insult strangers, which is embarrassing and childish, to say the least.
I agree, being anime only would unfortunately stop you from accessing lore heavy facts, but also slight nuances (although heavy to the story) such as Ichigo's and Orihime's relationship being set up. Kubo loves using the unreliable narrator. Unfortunately it seems a few too many people and some Bleach fans don't understand what an unreliable narrator is.
See imma tell u wut, as the shonen audience grew up...i have noticed them frequently reverting back to bleach and associated material, and claiming that it would probably live with them much longer as a peice of fiction than they would have initially thought courtsey to the preconceived notions around it....i myself started it after i turned 22(i am 25 now) but i am glad i did cuz i think it gave me an advantage at truly understanding the nuance and depth of bleach within a few reads! It has so much to offer interms of emotional and psychological developement of characters aswell as events that stem from various causes in the world of bleach!!!!
I think its my fav of the big 3 to watch such vid essays about!!!!
Ngl, you're spot on with that deduction, cause I use to be the BIGGEST Naruto fanboy/glazer as a kid and unreasonably hated bleach even tho I liked the MC and fights just because it was compared to Naruto which taught me about forgiveness, cycle of hate and all that yada yada. However, as I grew up and started to read it more thoroughly, I started to realize that I was pretty childish back then and that Naruto had WAYYY less relatability and impactful themes for me as I grew up.
I liked the idea of Naruto more than the story since I'm not gonna lie to you, it felt like a more serious dragon ball to me and I liked the dynamic with Naruto and Sasuke. Bleach on the other hand tho, feels like looking at an art piece, nothing really gets spoon-fed to you and due to Kubo's style of writing, you can legit feel the emotions coming from each character on page along with his beautiful art style all without a single word being said on panel. This along with a central theme of balance and self-acceptance has me constantly looking back on it due to how important those things are in my life right now. Imma end my yap session here but tldr, you're right, we grew up as an audience and realized that while it wasn't perfect, this was genuinely a masterpiece in storytelling from the characters, designs, and world building.
Personally one of my biggest critiques to people who do you hate on bleach is that usually they try to compare bleach to another anime strong suit. By that I mean is a one piece fan will say One Piece best thing is it's World building cuz you know thoroughly everything that's in the world and say Naruto and bleach cannot read it that is one of its strong suits. Did Naruto will say that it's writing is very deep and flushed out but that's because there's a lot a lot of things that are told and broke down for us to understand. Wow let's say bleach as you mention is different it doesn't break down every single thing it does it tells you what it does sometimes it indirectly tells you what it does and sometimes especially with 1,000 year blood War it will tell you later down the line but even then it won't break it down. And as a writer myself I do think there's a misconception between Naruto and bleach and when it comes to writing and that is something is more better written because it's broken down. When I don't think that means it's better written it just means it went out of its way to kind of explain but the next question is why does bleach maybe not break down everything it does it's because it doesn't matter to the character that we're following. To Ichigo as a character that we're following it does not matter what are the intricate reasons of what you're doing it for each you go it is as simple as what you're doing is bad. Because Ichigo is the type of main protagonist and we see this special in the sole Society Ark that will be you and then later asked you why did you do this he does not ask the unnecessary question before the battle and then he accepts what your answer is one of the most beautiful things as Ichigo as a protagonist is that he openly tells people sometimes I don't understand your logic I don't know what's going on but that doesn't change what I'm here to do
fax bro, every anime has its strength and it's kinda unfair to compair one anime's weakness to another's strength
The video is really cool. To be honest, I hadn't watched Bleach before 2023 and the only time I came across it was on memes with Aizen. In fact, I start Bleach in 2023 before Bleach TYBW cour 2 was dropped so i has no nostalgia at that time. A lot of my friends told me this too, I read an opinion on the Internet that Bleach is really that bad because it gets a lot of criticism and negativity, that I thought I would think so too, but no way! In fact, from the very first arc, I was interested in what would happen in the next episode. Even though I had already seen all the memes with Aizen and how he "planned everything" and it was already clear to me who the main villain would be. I was imbued with the story and Ichigo became one of my favorite MCs in the big three. And as a shonen protagonist, I like him more than Naruto and Luffy. I won't say that everything is perfect in Bleach, but for some reason this story stuck in my soul until the very end. Probably my favorite arc is still Soul Society, but I even loved the Fullbringers arc for Ichigo's progress as a character. Probably the weakest side of Bleach (anime probably) is the overly drawn-out Arancar arc. But that's the only thing I didn't really like watching the first time. However, the soundtrack is one of the best in anime for me. And who says that Bleach is bad with emotions? These people clearly didn't watch Bleach. There is room for emotional and touching moments, and they may not make you cry, but they can definitely make you sad or think. Despite all this, I think that the hate towards Bleach in places is not very justified. Criticism is important, it really helps to understand the main mistakes of the title, but to slide down to the level of analysis: "Bleach is bad because Naruto or One Piece are better and I liked them more" shocks and disappoints me that such people think that they are completely right without even trying to accept other people's arguments or think. It's very upsetting.
completely agreed bro, well said
I'm super glad your enjoying bleach, there definitely is toxic bleach fans, every fan base has toxic fans, but Its definitely low. Most of my friends who where toxic one piece and Naruto fans when I finally essentially forced them to watch bleach it became their favourite show of all time. I agree with most of your points, I do however think the world building is on par of not better than one piece, most of op world building as advantage comes from simply being longer. But bleach world building is super deep we don't even know all of it, like the primordial world, Muken is a whole other thing to talk about, snd I can't really go into more without spoilers so I won't. But in so glad you're here you're definitely more than welcome here. Bleach has gotten so much hate over the years and it honestly makes me sick most of it is completely unnecessary or from people who haven't watched it or watch it at a face value and can't comprehend it's deeper side. When all the big 3 where airing they would all be constantly being topping each other for views and then when bleach anime stopped it just suddenly became popular to spread the misinformation that's "bleach got canceled because it's shit" and then it became popular to hate on it. Even recently I see jjk mega fans hate on bleach that doesn't even make any sense, yes hate on the entire reason your fave anime exists in the first place. I even saw recently on twitter when Oda got sick that some of his fans where wishing him a speedy recovery and praying that all his illness goes to Kubo and he dies...... Oda and Kubo are literally friends and they say that???? Anyway I'm glad bleach is finally getting the hype and love it deserves rn enjoy your journey my friend

when it comes to Orihime soon when you get to the final fight with Ichigo and Grimmjow there's a moment where she does something that really makes fans not like her.
Also speaking of her I would agree being a pacifist does fit her character but we also know she wants to quote on quote be useful and there are loads of characters that are pacifists that are either defense oriented or can at least survive in a fight but being a pacifist does not mean being useless on the battlefield. Especially when like I said you're not that far into it yet but when you make it to the next part of what I'll call the third Act of azien. They are definitely characters with similar philosophies of hers Who hates fighting in hates conflict
Bleach is a massive gem. It's my favorite shonen bar none; and I'm constantly tired of reading and watching the most brain dead takes on it because people can't bother to turn on two brain cells for it.
It's a show that starts a real world school age boy and not once leans on school life and school structures to tell a shonen story; even when Kubo came out with the easy outting of the Shinigami Academy. This show never needed a tournament arc to set up easy fights either.
Arc 1 of 5 already sets ups the ENTIRE premise of the next 4 arcs, and also set up a possible hell arc completely fine on its own; and introduced all the concepts it kept using through out. The show doesn't keep coming up with things as it needs them. People say that Kubo didn't do foreshadowing but literally everything you need to know is set up before Ichigo fights Renji the first time.
Aizen's plot twist is absolutely legendary on a first sitting.
Mayuri is Orochimaru and Caesar Clown done right before either of them had a chance to do anything.
Bleach is openly listed as an inspiration to both Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer. While Gojo is openly admited to have been inspired by Kakashi, you don't really see mangaka talking about how they wanted to make the next Naruto or One Piece, but they do talk about how they were inspired by Dragon Ball and Bleach.
Let's not forget Bleach was "cancelled". Albeit gracefully, the series ended with Kubo in *terrible* terms with Jump and he still ended everything tied up in a bow. When Jump numbers start getting down, they ran back to him and sucked up to him enough because Boruto was bleeding Naruto's legacy and nothing else had the same staying power as everything else that was a hit was lightning in a bottle that wouldn't have hype lasting more than 2 years. Bleach came back to fanfare and awards.
Heck, the one constant thing that I see people complain about Bleach is flat out wrong. People keep talking about how "Ichigo is lame because he's every race" when Bleach has NO RACES. Only thing Bleach has is akin to an RPG job system that closes the other skill trees and specific ways of doing things when you go down one path, and the villains of the show are the ones that go down a path to blur the lines and try to get skills from the other paths.
No one can say shit about the art style, so they blabber about the backgrounds (which in most series is done by assistants anyway, mind you)
It's the shonen with the most sensible power scale that actually gives in world reasoning for "ass pull" power ups because your power and its form are literally tied to how well you know your own soul and self.
Bleach haters literally aren't smart enough to know what they're missing.
yeah bro the haters needa try it fr 🙏
You know most of the people who give hate to Bleach haven't even seen it first.
fr bro
I've been trying to explain to people for years that Bleach is implicit storytelling with a good amount of foreshadowing and inferences. Where as Naruto and One Piece are explicit so they just appeal to a wider audience. Basically Naruto and One Piece were written with children and teens in mind and Bleach leaned more towards young adults, so less mature people couldn't relate to it. Probably why TYBW is doing so well right now. The generation of people who starting mainstreaming anime/manga 20 years ago in the west are all adults now and find Bleach easier to understand now. There's no doubt in my mind that an abridged/remastered version of original run Bleach with TYBW art and a lot less censoring with the filler missing would do NUMBERS.
yes bro, growing up def plays a big factor in the bleach audience and I’m just happy I was able to find it in my point of life
Bleach and Naruto both deserve modern remasters with consistently good animation. One Piece is getting that with the WIT Studio remake and I don't think it's farfetched for the other two of the big three to get the same treatment.
Bleach had two things that made it newer shonen fans not get into it: 1. Ichigo isn't a happy and extreme awkward goofball MC that can magically win street brawls that mangakas started to popularize in the 2010s.... Looking at you Deku & Yuji... 2. and how the anime was made.... during that time the anime was made to a much slower pace format to fit into the tv standard and the anime is still stuck in a dated format unlike OP & Naruto who their later arcs got updated to the 2010s standard. Im thankful for TYBW being made in such quality that is making casual see it. Even Tite is giddy & happy with the staff & VAs because they know they're cooking a whole feast.
As a huge Bleach fan, I honestly find the anime a slog to watch through because of this. Bleach specifically converted me into reading manga for the first time because of how painful it was to sit through the anime at times. Although I disagree, One Piece most is still a massive slog to sit through, perhaps even worse than Bleach tbh, and that was as of maybe 5 years ago? Naruto is mostly a blur to me these days, but so can't really make a comment on that. Hell, I think I stopped watching the anime after I finished the manga.
bleach is goated 🔥🔥
What are you talking about? Both Naruto and One Piece are paced TERRIBLY. Bleach is the fastest one.
@@wind2536 read again: OG Bleach is trapped in the weekly episodic TV Standard of the 2000s. Naruto and OP"s later arcs got updated to the 2010s standard which is the reason why they popped off like crazy in the 2010s.... BLEACH DID NOT till TYBW...... a lot of people fought through og op and Naruto to get into the time skips arcs. thats the point. No one was fighting through Bleach.
@@sarkaztik3228 OP isn't that much of a slug fest because their later arcs get updated into 2010s standard. Bleach had nothing like that till TYBW. Bleach you have to seat down and consume it purely in the 2000s tv standard.
Glad to see you’re loving Bleach so far. And I’m glad you are able to see the good points of Bleach. I’m looking forward to seeing your journey in Bleach
thanks for sticking with me on my journey man ❤ bleach is such a great show
As I was getting into anime a while back, I told myself I needed to watch at least one of the big 3 before I watch anything else, Bleach was my first, and now it's my fav anime of all time, and basically changed my life on how peak it is...
based bro 🗿
No way you’re saying bleach is better than one piece
I'm hyped for you to catch up before TYBW Finale 🙌
It's crazy that out of the Big 3, Bleach gets the hate it does. It's definitely misunderstood, especially w/ the depth it has and still has as it goes on. It's why I think Bleach is so good and is my favorite of the Big 3.
"It doesn't have a straight up end goal shown to you like most shows"
In fact, the goal we see is that Ichigo wants the power to protect those he loves and cares for which grows as we watch the anime, which is shown to us when things that happen, happen. Bleach doesn't need to specify an end goal, its what makes it more real feeling. Just like we don't have one, unless you're morbid 😂
"The Bleach story is bland"
The story that Bleach has is picked up as we watch it. We understand more as it goes and we piece together the information that Kubo left out on purpose. Especially when you find out its tied to an important character which makes the story we've seen more revealing. W/ the side characters, they have story too which gets explained along the way when the time comes. The story isn't just tied to the main character either, there's still way more interesting things about the "villains" that gets picked up too.
Bleach is just different. Not in a "its better" kind of way, but the way it's written. There's still alot to learn and connect. I feel the reason people don't understand Bleach is they aren't patient or willing. I left out quite a bit of what I would've said, but a summary is a summary, and I didn't want to spoil for those who have not caught up yet
Excellently put! I also noticed that whenever Bleach fans find other Bleach fans there seems to be a genuine sense of joy and comradery that I don’t think I’ve seen with Once Piece or Naruto that I think is in part caused by the lack of acknowledgement of Bleach compared to the other two, sort of a “one of us!” Situation. Though I could be wrong, but that’s just my experience.
Yes bro! The bleach community has been so supportive to me compared to the Naruto or One Piece fans. I love this community so much I can't even explain it 😭
I think one of my favorite things that bleach does is how kubo COOKS With His Drip
frrrr dude
I'm a Bleach fan. I like that, unlike many popular shonen protagonists, Ichigo isn't an idiot. Also, the character designs are excellent. Tite Kubo is one of the rare manga artists who can draw Black characters well, even if they always end up having some weird transformations. There’s so much to love about Bleach.
That said, there are parts I didn’t enjoy. I’m not going to compare Bleach with other series because I don’t care about that. I know people like the Arrancar arcs, but for me, they were horrible. The fights were great, but fights back to back with an average plot don’t make a series good. Most of the Espada were lame, and Aizen losing to Ichigo felt strange. Honestly, each time Aizen transformed, his coolness diminished.
I also have a massive problem with The Thousand-Year Blood War. That arc could have been a masterpiece, but Kubo un-killed most of the characters we thought were dead. The worst part, though, was the ending. It wasn’t the author’s fault, he was forced to wrap up the manga as quickly as possible. That’s why the TYBW anime feels like Kubo’s true vision for that arc.
Do I think bleach is perfect? Hell no! Do I love bleach ? Hell yes! However, I will never be mad at people for thinking Bleach is a masterpiece or for thinking it's bad.
brooo im hyped for the ending. i think it will still be fire
Bleach was always my favorite of the big 3 and i was always so sad that it was considered the worst by most people.
its so sad
Has some of the best character writing but I think it gets Flack for not going out of its way to I don't know almost right every character to have like some core role in a certain Ark. Because Naruto fancy they have good writing because Kishimoto does focus on squats which helps him familiarize of the group's but at the end of the day it's usually focused on one member of the squad but then Shippuden comes around in kind of nerves the potential that we may have seen the character with but because it's a side character. Well the excuse was one piece on what gives it such good character writing is that it's I don't know how many episodes and still ongoing so it has all the Time in the World to keep on focusing on characters and do more with characters Nothing Stops one piece from not doing what it wants to do because it just keeps on going. While at the same time I think bleach writes a lot of character characters to the point where it needs to be routed like it does what it has to do it you're not that far into bleach yet at least from what it sounds like into this video but certain characters do get a lot of attention but bleachers doesn't go out of its way to fake make a character important
you cooked
@bluddu0 thanks my guy as a somewhat retired bleach stand because at one point it was my favorite anime ever. You don't know how much it suck to be there when everyone turned on bleach. So I'm happy to see newer fans actually see the goodness that is the show. But it also sucks because the main reason I really think everyone turned on it was because both Naruto one piece but especially one piece fans have like superiority complex while also being two of the bigger more popular series
Tbh for me Personally i liked Big 3 All of them Equally, all of them have Their Own Flavours
They're similar like Orange MC but have their own Different Flavours...
So much character depth, Growth, Cool Fighting Animation etc etc
Big 3 Truly deserved to be called as Back bone of Anime
But Goku is just The Goku he's a Proud Father afterall watching his son's Big 3 Rise Above Hate 🔥
While I agree with everything, especially the world-building.
Buuuut bigger locations doesn't mean better world buildings.
Naruto fails to even properly tell us about neighboring countries, how the Hokage works with the Daimyō of the land of Fire.
How the great ninja wars affect the countries around it and not just the hidden villages.
Also the history of any other village.
I can see where your coming from bro and excluding the bigger locations I still think bleach just beats naruto at worldbuilding
Alright, so you've JUST started Bleach, so you don't understand the frustration felt from the slowly progressing story that often felt aimless, stretched out for multiple years, with characters (as cool as they were) being mostly 2-dimensional with hardly any progression in their character Arcs.
You probably also still feel the vibe of Soul Society Saga - which I still believe is one of the best ones in Shounens to this day- since you've watched it a while ago, so you don't understand staring at the empty desert of Hueco Mundo - or Aizen and Yamamoto doing nothing but floating while looking at each other - for many years with very few new concepts and characters being revealed during that time. The worldbuilding in Bleach has been almost completely dead since SS Saga, and you can't say that about Naruto or OP.
EDIT: You didn't mention why is Bleach emotional. You've just stated something vague about Ichigo, which would be considered just one part of many that make up personalities of Protagonists in other mainstream shows.
Then you've just said an even more vague opinion on other characters, which was also probably based on their Soul Society Saga depictions, which, fair enough, could be considered emotional, because SS Arc is the best one in Bleach, by far.
All the world building and Character Arcs are there. And mostly stayed there for the rest of the show...
sorry bro but I just read the hueco mundo manga and it’s on or even greater then soul society for me
I started watching bleach this year and ahh now fully caught up, and i gotta say it’s easily my favorite anime. i don’t understand the hate at all
Wow man. Your improving hella quick

But if u think about it bleach is the father of Blk clover ,Jjk and Demon slayer them 3 animes take so much inspiration from bleach
yeah bro so many things that these new gens took from bleach 😅

People expect a 15 year old to have a goal in the shi he just got caught in 😂, and he does have a goal, in many moments he has said it, especially during the part when Orihime got badly injured, he said that he wants to protect his friends and family and he will get strong enough.
Enough said Ichigo is the most relatable mc
Ichigo is not more relatable then Guts
@dc7981 Yeah it's subjective for people but yeah Guts is more relatable
The amount of Bleach AMVs I watched in the late 2000s is astounding. I love Bleach.

"Bleach isn't an emotional show!"
*FULL SPOILERS*
What about Ichigo's mom dying when he was a little boy? Rukia being abandoned as an infant? Byakuya's wife dying a premature death and forcing him into a deep depression? Rukia having to kill her best friend after he was possessed by a monster? Ukitake sacrificing himself to take the Soul King's place? The entire backstory of Ichigo's parents? And so much more?!? If you think Bleach is emotionless, you have no emotion yourself. I CRIED when Rukia said a seemingly permanent farewell to Ichigo in episode 342!

I mean bleach may get hate but with time all things come to the light. Bleach been the goat anime since it aired. The newbies (like with most things) won't come to that understanding until later in their anime life/journey
fr bro it inspired like every new gen 😂
Bleach is the one out of the big 3 that asks the question: what is the root cause of conflict? Internal and external conflict.... too much for an audience that only wants to see flashy fights.
I like bleach but pierrot really fucked it over in the past.
@@bryana.escaleralopezyou clearly have not watched/read Naruto
Been a Bleach fan for almost two decades now. It inspired my taste in art, drip and most importantly it heavily improved my morals and character. People who tells bs like bleach world is bland and poor are lowkey just lazy binge watchers or just never watched it at all. Decent video mate. I'm always happy to see people getting heavily invested in this world. You won't regret it.
i sure love it so far!
Ichigo' is the only main character who isn't one or two dimensional. I personally can't stand One piece and Naruto because they aren't fucking pirates or ninjas. They also tend to win by the power of friendship, when Bleach tries doing that they tend to get bodied lol.
I get that but Ichigo literally beat grimjow cause he remembered his friends lol.
@@dc7981this is nor true. Ichigo was always stronger than Grimmjow from the beginning. He was distracted in the whole fight after he saw how scared Orihime was from his hollow powers.
Welcome to the Bleach fandom! This series is FREAKING PEAK and deserves a lot more respect.
my favourite character is Grimmjow
What actually attracted me to bleach was the premise, the world building. Then there's Ichigo, just nice he ticks all my favourite character tropes, my preferred main character as compared to Naruto and One Piece. I enjoy more coming of age teen/mature character stories. Then the memorable side characters. Ugh. Each of them can become a main character worthy and they are morally gray... Last but not least, the theme and art style is my jam. It just screams out to me. The contrast, the use of space. And then the action. Chef's kiss. I like how the anime production tries their best working with Kubo Tite to flesh out the TYBW arc. Chills chills chills. Unfortunately due to the timeframe back then, as Kubo has been drawing and serialising the stories, the anime production had to write their own filler arcs to add time for more content when they first started out. That was a bummer, but hey, I can see they tried to improve their writing skills... ultimately manga's flow of events is much smoother. I enjoy each and every Shinigami Zukon and every attempts at adapting the series (holy bewildered Bleach Rock Musicals 1-3). Welcome to the world of Bleach. Hope you enjoy analyzing them. Subscribed :)
thank you so much for sharing your thoughts bro ❤️🙏🏾 i’m so hyped
The main thing I’ve gotten in a good reread of bleach is the insane level of details kubo puts into a character either design or literally the character to make something seem less important then it is. Take for instance urahara’s entire character (no spoilers for you anime fans) is just anime Batman or how Aizen’s god complex is a genius way to make a world of anarchy try to function normally and how to manipulate people into believe you as a false prophet to further your own goals. Or how isshin knows how shinigami lore works because he’s (small spoiler for CFYOW) the head of the fifth noble house and definitely knows his way around the world that is shinigami better then most. Or how toshiro and rangiku knew Ichigo’s house had isshin in it but rangiku never said anything and how she knew Ichigo was her old captain’s son but again kept her mouth shut to not blow any cover. Kubo is an absolute genius when it comes to writing and character design, it’s easily the most stylish of the big 3 and can tell with every kubo spread the man’s literally a fashion designer on the side which is incredible!
5:52 I love this video bleach is also my favorite anime too. I watch both PTS and Shippuden of Naruto twice already before i watched Bleach for the first time and so many side characters are forgotten about in Naruto once Shippuden begins. If you're not one of Naruto's close friends or the Akatsuki you basically don't get nothing until that mid war arc... I love Naruto too but, Bleach always utilizes their characters really well imo and never forgets to remind you how important they are i feel.
Is that so? Please tell me what do 99% of the characters contribute to the plot besides wasting your time with fighting enemy goons. There are a dozen captains, three dozen vice captains, a hundred mooks, and you can remove almost all of them without changing a thing.
Welcome Bro ( it's been 20 years that i'm a fan of bleach ) i like naruto, didn't see or read one piece, too much chapter to my liking over 1000 , it's a little bit waaaay to much, the only thing i know about it recently it's the gear 5 ? it's like a copy a looney tunes , well the rumors said it. And people who trashtalk bleach, sometimes it's like they trashtalking for the purpose of trashtlaking, without any proof or trying to compare it with another manga, people didn't read it or see the manga, and i'm not biased, bleach has flaw, every manga has, nothing is perfect , great vid man, and again, Welcome to our community
thank you for being so supportive bro ❤️🙏🏾 and I would recommend you start one piece bro. trust me I was the same when I saw the 1000 chapters, but i’m caught up now and one piece is my favorite anime currently, but bleach is SO CLOSE

@@bluddu0 No prob, in the futur maybe, but thank's ! well, i'm alone, lost most of them whn i was younger , but thank you :)
1:21 definitely my favorite animated series
My biggest problem with Bleach is its repetitive fight formula. You know how it goes, hero meets villain they have a little back and forth and then the villain pulls out his big power move and starts winning the fight, and when all hope is lost the hero pulls out their big power move and wins the fight. (Like how uryu wins every one of his main fights by revealing a new weapon) And I get why people can see past this given that you’re there for the great action and character moments, but this mainly starts to become a problem for me in the hueco mundo arc and in the one after that where there are just too many of these types of fights that just don’t need to happen and stop the progression of the plot in its tracks. But these flaws don’t make me dislike the series it’s just something I notice every time I decide to read/watch it again, but I’m glad you’re really enjoying it so far👍
i respect your opinion 👍🏽
keep up the good work. also, just for the sake of improvement i wish that the silences between the sentences could be shorter. thank you ❣
noted! thanks for the feedback
People actin like Orihime didn't save everyones ass during each arc with her healing and Kubo did a great job with how she develops from the soul society through to the full bringer arc
exactly
yeah she do be healing everyone
Bleach is one of those stories that people learn to appreciate more after they get a little older, its a series that goes into some surprisingly mature and personal themes that an adult audience will resonate with more. The fact that people say this show lacks emotion tells you everything, when its one of the most human shonen manga i've ever read, with how it handles the concepts of self reflection and identity, acceptance and understanding of the self, overcoming trauma, living with grief, the grey morality of duties, trusting people and the consequences of choices and so much more its a beautiful story
Its visual storytelling is also masterful and respects the viewers intelligence with being able to understand the writing and connect the dots on their own.
completely agreed man
…Well, feels like this HALF right, at least (recalls just how mind numbingly often characters explain how their powers work (you’ve got no idea how tempted I am to think sternritter W was introduced just so Kubo could get the alphabet done and out of the way (would it have killed him to just have the characters hint at their powers using one liners? Yeah, I know, some people will be idiots. I just hated how often it seemed to be done/how it was executed)))
I am a bleach fan, but wait until the Kurosaki kun spamming starts, cause it does not stop and litterally takes away from so many fights. Orihime did not cook lmao
i will definitely say that orihime in the manga has a CLEAR difference compared to the anime and i like her character a lot there
@@bluddu0grasping at straws

I suppose the reason of the "hate" is really that Bleach is a more mature thing as you've said. And it needs a deeper understanding that not everyone are ready to give. And the same thing about being attentive to details. Some things begin to make much more sense only much later in the show and you are like "aaaah, that's why!". Yet the cour 3 of Bleach:TYBW got the highest rating on IMDB than all anime. It surpassed even AoT.
yeah bro more people gotta understand the greatness of bleach

if you can get through dressrosa pacing you can get through this bro
I actually started bleach recently and I’m quite enjoying it so far, I really enjoy quite a lot of the characters (I don’t get how people dog on ichigo so much he’s probably one of my favourite shonen protags )and while I wasn’t quite jelling with certain aspects of how the story was being told(in the beginning I didn’t really like the episodic nature in the beginning and in soul society I didn’t fully understand why we kept cutting to the captains on what felt like a weird subplot at first), now that I just finished soul society it feels like all the pieces sunk into place, imo, I also really like kubos approach to world building and the character dynamics he gives his characters is so good, so bleach is rising up in being one of my favourites, also I have to say ur doing a great job on ur channel i hope it continues to grow nicely, have a good one
thank you so much for sharing your thoughts bro! its so crazy how kubo can relate all these subplots together. and of course most beginnings to a show will be slow, but they serve as a basis for the power system, characters, and a lot more things
@@bluddu0DUDE, it’s crazy how slept on the arrancar arc is slept on, like this is currently my favourite part of bleach I love how much Kubo is diving into the cast’s characters as well as making their relationships with one another so real and complex, I always hear people saying bleach fell off after the soul society but dang I’m loving this arc so far, I’m only at the point of where spoiler idk where u are but i really love the themes as well as the parts of ichigos character the plot is really focusing on
I don't know why you brought up Rangiku.
I think she's one of the worst female characters, the only notable trait about her is fan service.
😂
Is easily one of the stronger lieutenants, has a strong shikai release, has great filler episodes where most of the time she is the main attention and the episodes revolve around her, like the filler where she saves a kid's soul who died in a car crash with his entire family, then there is her entire relationship and dynamic with Gin Ichimaru and she contains a soul king's fragment.
Even without all this her past and how she grabs the viewers attention without being annoying and bitchy constantly like most other female characters from other franchises(gives side eye to naruto), is enough to put her somewhere at the top.
obviously I don’t think Rangiku is the best female character, but I think she is a good character. She has a connection with Gin that we don’t know yet, and I liked the fact that she kind of sees herself in Orihime and kind of acts as a mentor to her. but yeah she is def not the best female character
@@KurosakiNexus nah, she's worse than most Naruto female characters(except for Karin and Kaguya)
Maybe I'm just salty because every scene with Rangiku makes is awkward to watch Bleach on the bus, but she's very disappointing considering how prominent she is.
If you ask me, Soi For is my favourite female character.
(Yes, even more than Yoruichi)
Side note: I don't watch filled.
Maybe I should go back and watch the filler, but I'm not sure.
@sonofaglitch7549 She's better than every single female character in naruto lmao it's not close, that's why I gave it's example.
You shouldn't watch anime on the bus but yeah some of the scenes she is involved in tend to be seductive but that just adds more to the character, you should watch the filler where she shines more compared to the main story, even in the main she isn't bad at all I don't know which scene you are referring to.
Soi Fon is a decent pick but imo bleach has far better ones but Soi Fon is a very unique pick so maybe you know your stuff
I totally agree, man but be careful. A lot of the new fans are very territorial about their favorite anime back in the day we used to rip on bleach, but because we loved it has a special place in our hearts, it has the best outfits too.
bleach is heart ❤️
Glad you’re picking up bleach, it’s my favorite anime by far. When it comes to emotion, back story, and world building you will see a lot of it as you continue the show. Fullbring arc is all emotion and TYBW is so much backstory.
I love bleach, but I have some problems:
1. you said that the backstories are very well done, I can agree with you, but I'm very sorry to say that the most important villain of bleach: Sosuke Aizen has never had a backstory and it has never been explained, MAYBE it will be explained in future in the novel, or it has already been explained in the novel, but in any case in the anime and manga 0, absolutely 0 explanations.
2. World Building is not just about how big something is or "special" but how many things it has inside and how unique it is, the world of the living is normal Japan, the soul society 2-3 things have been named and Hueco Mundo total desert with the fortress, still better than Naruto, but by very little.
3. many secondary characters after Aizen's narrative arc are no longer calculated (Chad or Orihime for example) do not unlock new powers or even new character characteristics, and this thing only gets worse especially in the new "Thousand Year Blood" there are characters that are left behind, both in powers and character development prospective, who don't even make the slightest sense that they follow Ichigo, they have to stay home.
Or slowly during the seasons even normal humans were having a small evolutionary character, like Orihime and Ichigo's friends, also a total stop.
4. In general after Aizen everything starts to fade away including the plot twists, SPOILERS:
Oh Wow! who knew that Ishida was actually just pretending to be allied with Yhwach, just an unexpected plot twist, I never expected it (sarcasm)
But overall, at the end of the day Bleach had a lot of good story arcs (excluding the filler ones)
As a massive Bleach fan and someone who is currently rewatching it, the thing that Bleach gets wrong is power scaling and power reveals. You say you're Hueco Mundo so i dont want to spoil anything, but Bleach has an issue with telling us about something insane and then killing that thing immediately. If i use a past example I'd say Bankai. As im rewatching, Ichigo is told about Bankai and how hard it is to learn. In the next episode we get our first Bankai when Ishida fights Mayuri. The bankai is defeated immediately. Does it peak our interest about everyone elses Bankai? Yes, but it also makes it look weak. This is happening a ton in the current arc. If i use naruto as an example we were shown the Sharingan early on, Kakashi used it and beat Zabuza. You can argue thar Zabuza adapted rather quickly but he waa defeated first, and only adapted during the next encounter. Bleach often introduces techniques that seem broken, only to have the technique defeated before the episode ends. Still love the story building but its one of the reasons im not enjoying the current arc. Nothing that is named as powerful (people included) are actually that powerful. If anyone responds please try to keep it spoiler free since he says he's at Hueco Mundo. Not sure if he's all caught up yet.
You know it's always funny when people's call Goku as the Father of Big 3 😂
As if like Goku True Successors are the Big 3
who do you think are the successors?
Bleach is so underrated
for sure!
Naruto used to be my favorite of the big 3, but after re-reading Bleach again in preparation for the first season of TTYBW arc, I had realized that I vastly enjoyed Bleach far more than Naruto.
I just feel like the two arcs next to one another a very repetitive so it makes people feel like the world is smaller but once you get to the end of the manga, it feels like a giant universe with a very long extended history very cool stuff, man
completely agreed! thanks for watching
7:01 To add on to this you really just mentioned their personalities although Shunsui changes a lot later on as he goes from a lazy drunkard to Head Captain even tho he is technically the strongest captain besides Aizen Unohana and Yamamoto. Kenpachi wants to fight someone strong but that holds him back which caused him to lose to Ichigo early on while Shunsui is irresponsible and probably depressed from what happened to his brother and Nanao’s sister (his lieutenant) but he mans up and becomes head captain. I will say rn one of my favorite characters is Starrk bro is probably more tragic of a villain than Ulquiorra
Edit: about Kenpachi later on in the series he overcomes this weakness which is something I really like about Bleach, every character has a want but that want also relates to their greatest weakness. Aizen lost because the Hogyoku granted his wish for an equal which is genuinely just peak writing on Kubo’s part, Orihime likes Ichigo but because of her trauma from her brother she relied on him to much she later changes and tries to become more capable to him basically saving her character ngl and this is why Bleach is my favorite anime if you pay attention you get one of the best written side characters ever. The only anime to ever come close to that for me was Black Clover
I'm man enough to admit that i shed a tear watching this video.. it's so raw and genuine.. just like bleach
Peak
glad to see that my video hit you man. PEAK
Bleach was the 2nd anime I've ever watched completely and man all I was told is how terrible it was but man that taught me never to listen to others and judge for myself and im so glad I did. It was a rollercoaster, and I've watched all the way through twice. Also, filler is probably the best out of the big 3, in my opinion
yeah NEVER let others tell you what to do 😭🙏🏾
You may be a little green right now but i know you got the makings of greatness in you.. *subscribes*
Thank you for giving bleach its flowers. Keep cooking, chef 🔥
thank you so much for the kind words man 🙏❤️ im never giving up!
my middle children brotheren ..we know that the middle child get s the intelligence, strength of mind body spirit
the middle child's always the goat fr
I first watched bleach in October 2024 and it be fair it was splendid it was like a breath of fresh air, and I watched all of Naruto, DBZ and one piece.
Bleach was hated because ichigo and orihime ended up together and it really pissed ppl off 😅
Honestly I think people overreacted way too much
Not everyone tho just the toxic minority ones
i just finished bleach and tybw and i cant see why people hate on it its so good and goated and there is some parts people dont talk about enough
It's a shame that my younger brother dismissed the entire show the moment Rukia introduced herself with this "I might look like a child, but I'm actually way older than you" line.
I'm also starting to hate the substitute shinigami arc because the lighter tone gave him the impression that it's just some sort of weird Japanese comedy.
It's such a bad introduction to the world of Bleach😢
imma be honest bro the intro had me HOOKED, especially with the osts
Soo true they should sidelined Ichigo a bit at the beginning and properly introduced the soul society near the start of the story instead of lore dumping in tybw. Bleach worldbulding is acc underrated
I’m so happy you’re loving Bleach! I’m almost 30 and have been revisiting it after many years and it’s such a cool experience understanding the depth of the story and characters now that I’m an adult, as well as seeing other people give Bleach and Kubo their flowers. Keep up the great work too!
thank you bro! im never gonna stop the grind 🙏❤️
Just to add more information on the world building Tite Kubo made another series "called burn the witch" which takes place in the same universe as bleach. There's another branch of soul society in London and instead of soul reapers and hollows there's witches and dragons.
Imo BtW just breaks the lore to an insane degree. How are there not hollows in other parts of the world? Are dragons hollows? Why don't the western branch have zanpakuto? The zero division and he soul king is pivotal to all 3 worlds, yet here they use wands which comes out of nowhere. There are so many new unanswered questions.
@@paledrake He said in the same universe it's not the same relm, there is no official map of the bleach universe yet
@@user-np3vy5ff5t Even if that's the case, they both interact with the human world (which is what my comment was focusing on). Hollows should still appear in the world of the living, in BtW that being normal London. And since it says Soul Society west branch we can assume Reverse-London is in Soul Society (especially since there are only 3 major realms in Bleach excluding Hell).
god damn bleach is massive
@@user-np3vy5ff5t Well we have the three worlds created from the Primordial Sea. Human World (our universe), Heuco Mundo, and Soul Society. Then we have the space in between the three worlds called the Dangai, and then Hell where the bad humans and existences with mass amounts of reishi. The only place that London could exist would be in the human world on Earth.
Imma support you. Your gonna hit alot of subs sooner.
thanks for the support bro ❤️🙏🏾 this community is so supportive
@bluddu0 yw, 😊😊
i remember how i used to say i HATED bleach because i got absolutely ruined by bleach characters in jumpforce, but i didnt really dislike it, i just slightly hated it because of that, but when i actually started watching it like mid way through last year GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA my expectations were flipped and it is now ONE OF MY FAVORITE ANIME EVER. im still in a filler arc somewhere in the 300 episode mark but man i love this show, im gonna be depressed when i finish this peak
my comment might not make sense rn cuz im super tired but i hope it does
Ichigo and orihime are alike, they love to protect, but the difference is that ichigo fights to protect, while orihime protects by defending
Ichigo is the sword, orihime is the shield
Spoiler alert for the last joke
And kisuke uses the sword and shield cuz that mf more manipulative than aizen
It's 1984. Toei chooses to adapt Dragon Ball as a seasonal anime with only 13 episodes per year, but allocating to it the same budget they would if it was a long-running weekly series. The concept of anime filler never exists, animation quality is always excellent. Ratings are always 10/10. Naruto, Bleach and One Piece copy the same model throughout the 90s/00s. Life is good.
the 90s seemed like a peak era man
Bleach respects your intelligence. It never tries to hold your hand and even when it does explain things it only holds u by the finger dragging u along for u to solve the pieces that are there.
Bleach is something that is filthy rich in interpretation. Without spoilers, till this day i still dont 100% know what aizen's character is and even when i feel like i do know everything about him, something new comes up. Which is another thing, bleach definitely benefits from rewatches/rereads. Or you can just watch bleach analysis videos if ur so into it.
yeah man there's so much to the characters that we still don't know. and thats the beauty of this show. always keeps you searching for more
Baby hold your hand
This was me to hating on bleach and I tive it a try and now I am a hardcore bleach fan
a real brother ❤
I once got introduced to Bleach anime because I read the manga but sadly I couldn't fully finish the manga (so far I progressed from Vol 1 to probably vol 45) because i was reading on my school library at my final school year. and then I binged the anime through Netflix with my sister and I gotta say, it's absolutely worth it (+ fillers but I just don't wanna talk about it if people finds out and some differences I found comparing to the manga) from the beginning all the way to Thousand-Year Blood War (still in Episode 21 or 22). I'm glad you loved the anime and the character designs...
"DAAAAMN BOI!!!" because I absolutely agree Kubo-sensei never fail to make such characters so drippy. Bleach is by far my all-time favourite anime and manga of the big 3 as a new anime watcher/manga reader.
completely agreed bro! thanks for sharing your thoughts ❤️🙏🏾
So I like the fact that your videos are high quality, and well articulated. So a big point when you brought up Kishimoto not doing too much with his side characters another thing that the Naruto community fails to see most of the time is his issues with foreshadowing properly and with consistency throughout his power system. They don't get me wrong Kubo did kind of have some issues with power system consistency here and there but it's not even close to the issue with Naruto as a whole.
how is naruto's power system inconsistent along with its side cast?
@ElJynx so Naruto power system is inconsistent when it comes to part 1 and part 2 especially how the Uchiha Clan Powers work and some of the things like izanagi, izanami are strange.
@ElJynx part 2 doesn't follow the rules established in part one. Kurama and shukaku were demons not tailed beasts. The mechanics of the Sharingan are slightly different in part 2, and the timeline makes absolutely no sense. Discovery writing is really good for like a first and second draft but the final draft needs to be looked over and things like power system mechanics all need to be the same from start to finish.
The Naruto character ages don't like up, a finished product really needs to make sense. Kishimoto failed at fleshing everything out compared to Kubo and bleach.
kishimoto just dropped the ball with so many characters. what a shame...
I will never understand how people think bleach has bad world building, sure it doesn’t focus on social world building like Naruto does with its characters and political conflicts, but it still has an expansive world with places and people and culture and biology and science unique to itself, and all the power ups work, characters clearly get strong only after training or fighting, Bankai, Ressurection, Hollowfication, and Volstandig all compliment they race that use them and the individual characters as well as each other, Bankai is an example of being one with one’s self and their sword, allowing a boost in power, and as well already expect captains to have it, Renji, Ichigo, and Rukia all train to earn it, Hollowfication shows that one has overcome the demon within them, just as Naruto with Kurama, and Ichigo and all the Visored have trained to do, Ressurection is the complete counter to that as it represents a Hollow becoming less like themselves and more human, best shown by Ulquiorra and his growth into caring fro Orihime, and his power of a second Ressurection, Volstandig is made as a direct counter to Bankai, and Ichigo’s growth also comes from his Zankei boosts he gets after fighting, it’s why he goes from beating an Ex Espada to the 6th and then even coming close to the 4th espada, the only ass pull you can really say there is is Ichigo’s full hollowfication, Nanao’s Shikai, and Yhwach’s Almighty, and Fullbringer restoring Ichigo’s power, since they are unexpected abilities in a way and only two of those really get set up Ichigo is warned by White he will take over if he becomes to incapacitated to fight, and Fullbring was just the natural expanding on Ichigo’s friends having power and a way to restore his powers again for the final arc.
Just to mention there is also the Danghai Precipice World, the Hell from hell arc & the Soul kings realm that's basically Heaven
The video and the audio is great, keep it up! 🔥
thanks!
just want to put a little rant here and give some info on my pov. growing up I never had the ability of consuming media like I have now so the only anime I watched was dragon ball and soon naruto, i actually didnt know what an anime was by term till middle school, I thought dragon ball was simply a cartoon because it came on adult swim after cartoon network. Naruto was the first time i heard anime, and learned the different, etc. I still never fully went weeb mode after naruto tho and it actually took me until 2 years ago to cave in and give one piece a chance. I avoided it because of how long it is and how most of the fans I encountered were obnoxious and swearing by one piece being the best. But i decided one day im going to watch one piece then bleach so I can have at least seen all of the Big 3 so i can make an opinion on it. I also did think bleach was going to be just bad compared to one piece and naruto based on how many people talked about it. But bleach is exactly the type of fiction that hooks me, i love supernatural things. And i was so ignorant years ago I never knew that bleach was supernatural like. Anyways I went into one piece thinking no way its as good as people say or no way ill like it more than naruto, then after catching up it became my favorite anime, then i went into bleach thinking it was going to be a snoozefeast and now after catching up with TYBW, Ichigo is my favorite Mc in the big 3. Sometimes i want to say bleach is my favorite anime, but One piece has many other things I like such as the side cast and stuff, but both bleach and one piece surprised me. One piece made me cry over a boat. All of the Big 3 animanga's forever deserve their flowers. Even tho naruto got me into the big 3, I have came to love both One Piece and bleach more, and maybe im wrong but from experience i think the ones hating on them the most, never watched them because i was kinda that guy. I also appreciate the adult like theme in bleach i sometimes forget its shonen not seinen, the only thing preventing that is probably organs not spilling out. But its basically seinen. And bleach was a breathe of fresh air from the other 2 in the b3.
agreed bro! bleach does lowkey feel like a seinen sometimes
i always felt bad hearing prople gave up on the anime (wich i get for live watchers having to deal with like a years worth of filler episodes in the arrancar arc) but now finally with the new seasons being absolute peak it feels like everyone is giving it a fair shot finally
yeah bro I can believe it took me this long to start bleach 😭
Welcome in. You’ll find your sword or bow down the hall behind either the black or white doors. Soul Candies will be provided at the end of the tour.
give me chappy 🙏
Bleach has the most diverse cast of characters and does wonders for representation, imo. They also have an amazing sense of fashion.
yeah i agree bro. the drip is on another level
you got the main point about the hate. bleach is missunderstood because you need to backtrack sometimes, you need to think about the stuff and details, it is not easy to get everything watching it just once like naruto or one piece.
because of this, bleach has received so much hate because they say it has a lot of ass pulls, deus ex machinas, plot armor, etc, when actually most of those things have been foreshadowed way before or even explained at some point. it is just not an easy show, specially for younger people and i feel like people that grow up and give it a second chance realize how amazing it actually is
yeah bleach definitely appeals to more older viewers tbh
