Hello Becky. A video of yours showed up in my feed the other day.
I am very grateful it did. I have to say thank you for making these videos.
I’ve been in a very depressed state since I lost my last living family member a few years ago.
Watching your videos is making me get some motivation to get out of the hole I’ve dug myself into.
Watching you do your daily chores is getting me motivated to plan out my tiny garden that I want to build. ( I had one built in my rental).
I own a home now, and I’ve been neglecting all the outside of it, but I’ve always wanted to grow strawberries for jam.
Becky, you have a very friendly and welcoming face, and for me you are very motivating. I am enjoying your videos, and I have many more to watch.
Anyways, thanks for giving me some motivation!

Mlee, I’m so sorry for your loss and associated depression. Becky is a great cheerful channel, but PLEASE have some face to face interaction, even if just a brief conversation with a waitress or store clerk. But, if you haven’t sought out medical help, ask your doctor for a low dose of Prozac AND a rec for a licensed counselor or psychologist. I’ve dealt with clinical depression for all my adult life even with a strong faith and believe medicine is a Gift from God. Prayers & blessings. One step at a time.

Hi Becky...just a tip, which you may already know, and it is about peeling your garlic. If you cut the root end and just the tips of the other end of your bulb and then separate the cloves, you can easily peel them by placing the cloves in a bowl with hot water. You leave them for about 5 minutes. Girl...those skins come off in a blink of the eye. I tried it and it works beautifully. Good luck ❤

I understand that there are heaps of rude people on here but please do not fall in the trap of having to reason with them by over explaining everything. This video and the last have come across like you are trying to justify your wants. Ignore them! If you want a carbonated drink, have one. If you don’t want seasonal decor, don’t get it. Just do not pander to the minority of unhappy people because all of us normal people on here love you for you.

Liquid dishwasher detergent (cascade) will get the stains out of your moms tablecloth. If that doesnt, make a paste from dreft. Works like magic on food stains. A red tablecloth is also a great investment, because its good for 4th of July, Christmas, and Valentine's.

For that Mexican street corn salad kit, I always add some extra Romain, some frozen, thawed, corn, a can of black beans, and tomato and avocado if I have it. It really bulks up the salad and makes it more of an entrée salad.

Some things I have done to help protect my antique wooden table from stains (usually by the young children) is I placed a thick plastic sheet, cut to the dimensions of the table, under the tablecloth. Spills will puddle and not soak into the wood. As it's under the tablecloth, it is not seen. I was gifted a very large eggshell white tablecloth that hangs down on all sides. I will cover this tablecloth with a seasonal one or for a fun event like a birthday or children's Christmas I'll put a slightly smaller one on top of the pretty white one, much like you use a table runner but it stays on for the meal. It has saved the larger one from many kinds of stains, and are easier to clean. I understand that you don't want to have to store multiple items but they fold up thin and store in the china cabinet along with platters and napkin rings and other things that I only pull out for a party.

Agreed, we use onions alot too and 120 pounds of onion is only 10 pounds of onions per month. Some people act like it's alot or something, but it's not.
Just a pot of beans and a pan of fried potatoes and onions will be two big onions minimum.

You can put salad in a large mason jar and vacuum seal the lid to make it last longer.
I learned about it from someone here on UA-cam. I've done it and it works very well to keep your salad fresh longer. Also putting a paper towel in the bottom of the jar helps as well.

Becky, if you have an Asian market anywhere close, you probably could find fresher rice at a similar or better price than Costco. I am in Texas and in the Dallas Fort Worth area we have a lot of Asian markets. If you look at the crop year on the rice at Costco it is usually last year at least in D-FW that is the case. The rice at the markets are always this years crop and the price is usually a little if not a lot better than even Costco. We love jasmine rice and use it exclusively but they have the sticky rice as well. I can't even begin to describe how good a bag of this years jasmine rice smells when it is opened.

The only ones I didn’t use the instant pot for were the limoncello. Then I had too much for one elderly lady, so my street is having rolling “Infusion” parties. I’ve gotten great ideas from neighbors I just introduced myself to and asked to join in the first one, great ice breaker and now I’m acquainted with all my neighbors on our short block.🎉 let the holiday of good cheer commence!

Have you ever watched Sara Moulton? For chicken broth she recommends chicken wings-- they have the perfect ratio of bone, cartilage, and skin. Aggh as a Minnesota girl and an avid snow lover it makes me so happy to see your first pair of snow boots! Quick tip for the leather on the boots. You will want to waterproof it in some way or it will get weird. I recommend mink oli or something like that but you can also get waterproofing sprays if thats what you would prefer. Happy snow days with warm feet!

The Mexican street corn kit is real good. I usually add a little extra ranch dressing for a little extra flavor.

I just saw the other day that you can put your whole head of garlic in boiling water for a minute and the cloves peel super easy. Thought I’d share. ❤️

11:21 since you're a super homesteader you may want to look at making your own mayo. My husband has been doing it for the last few months and it's really easy!

Becky, if you stain the new tablecloth spray (heavily) it with dawn then roll it up and put it in the laundry room. Wash it whenever you get the chance. The dawn won’t stain.

minimal holiday decorating smart idea. No need to spend thousands of dollars in decorations that will only be used for a month then collect dust for the rest of the year. Very smart.
