    I 've purchased the 50W version and I 've installed it into a tractor which had a broken, worn-out 1 DIN slot and it works good. To connect it to the speakers, I 've bought a set of female ISO connectors. It 's switched by the ignition key and from the potentiometer, if you want to turn it off.

      Is it safe to run zk 1002 with 24v 8A adapter? Does it get really hot or burn out? Just running some 6in standard speakers.

    • @vatterger
      @vatterger 3 роки тому +1

      @@w3eonline That will be fine for the amp, it's a 2x100W model so your supply can't even max it out.
      You could also use a 24V 100A supply if you want, doesn't really matter, the amp only pulls as much current as the speaker can consume at the set volume with the given voltage (more voltage = more potential power!). It's all good as long as the supply voltage isn't to high for the amp and the power supplys max power rating is greater than the combined speakers max power rating, so you don't overload the power supply and burn it out.

      Can this amplifier play 160w*2 sony speakers in normal volume…?

    • @vatterger
      @vatterger 3 роки тому +1

      @@syedpak9549 Yes, probably. 30% is already crazy loud with my old, medium sized stereo speakers. I don't know your Speaker model, so i can't say for sure (The impedance should be matched! This is more important than the max power of the speakers!). One word of caution though: The bluetooth connection on this amp is open for any device, this means anyone who is near you can connect to it, even while you are listening. What is most infuriating is, that the new device will always be prioritized when it first connects, so you will be kicked off your own amp, which will drive you crazy! Better get a model with a pairing button to avoid this mess. You will be very very very annoyed with this amp if you have just one malicious device or person with a phone near you.

    The speakers make that screech sound when you change volume because of you power supply.
    I had a 12v 2A and it made that sound so I switched to 24v 6A an it works BRILLIANTLY!!! Just buy a higher power PS. It’s quite a common problem with small amps like this.

    @crisfenixgaming522 Рік тому +1

    Well first of all, if you want more volume you need a power supply that outputs 24v dc (at max) because these TPA3116 provide little power when powered by 12v power supply. Second, you need to check if the circuit have a NE5532 as a pre-amp in the input stage of the aux input (analog input) this helps when using low volume sources, as a smartphone headphone output.

  • @toonwouters4632
    @toonwouters4632 3 роки тому +12

    Another channel did a spectrum analysis of this board showing it drops off quickly on the higher frequencies. Also something i noticed myself and is really annoying and i havent seen anyone mention this is that the board seems to have circuitry that cuts the power when the input audio signal (bluetooth) is below a certain threshold. Seems like a smart feature only it takes some time for it to switch back on so you cant use this to watch movies or anything as you'll miss half the dialogue in quiet sections.. very much unusable!

    • @BH4x0r
      @BH4x0r 2 роки тому

      i need to test that, i'll hook it up to my oscope one day, both on BT and Aux, because that could be because of the bluetooth chip
      about the turn-off, i would recommend using an aux cable for music either way as bluetooth can introduce severe latency

    I wish you would have said a bit more about your line source when testing the AUX. Granted, this is a product intended to be built into a passive speaker to turn into an active one, and I guess one would mostly want to use BlueTooth, but I think once you've got the amp hardware, it's kinda stupid not to also equip it with a dirt-cheap analog connection that could come in handy some day.
    Maybe you could measure the signal when testing the line-in... line level is supposed to be up to 5V, and if they tuned it to allow max gain at that input level without clipping, some sources may simply be impossible to get decent volume from (like if their output level is only 1V). Maybe try the headphone output from a cell phone (if you've still got a headphone jack!) and make sure the volume on the phone is cranked up to the max...

    I have owned both the 2.0 and 2.1 version with the tpa3116 from wuzhi. From my experience with both of the amps i would probaly only recommende the 2.1 version. The 2.0 did not sound great, and was overall just worst. The 2.1 is great for a pair off speaker under 200 dollar. The watt rating is obvious fake, are probaly alot lower. For me when is switch between powersupplys with different wattage the overall loudness didnt change. A power supply with 20-50 watt will be great, and a 18-24V Are also great. I use a Harmon kardon dc power supply that is rated 19V, and 2A (38W) and the 2.1 version was able to run the most unefficent speakers to such high volums that it damage my ears. So it plays really loud! Great buy for a lower to entry level setup, no noise and high watt output.

      The 2.0 version sound ok, but not great. It sounded bad while connected through Bluetooth, and when wired it was ok. The 2.1 on another hand is pretty decent. Most people that buy their first set of speakers will be happy with it, my brother who used it right now seems to be happy with it and dont seem to want to replace it any time soon. Its has no buzz sound, sound decent and the Bluetooth sound dont sound noticeble worse then wired. For the money its hard to get any better. So if you where to use it with cheap speakers(under 150 euro/dollar) then its a great combo. The 2.0 its not worth it, its pretty trash and sounds like a 10 dollar amp.

    I have the 100 W x 2 version of this, the Wuzhi Audio ZK-1002L. I don't know how much true power in watts the 50 x 2 model produces, but the 100 x 2 model was recently dyno tested at 24V to produce about 80-85 watts before clipping to each stereo channel. See my comment below in response to Hadian Dacuan about what I built over a year ago, and how i use it. For those interested in projects.

      And these are true, real world RMS wattage figures, which is insane for such a small chassis, only showing how technology has improved with these little Chinese class D amplifiers. These Wuzhi units utilize the 3116 chip(s), and are quite capable. While they dont have the dynamic headroom of larger, Class A, or A/B amplifiers, they are very efficient, don't generate a lot of heat, and are quite inexpensive in terms of watts for your dollar.

      I bought one of the 100w x 2 versions, the Wuzhi Audio ZK-1002L. I assembled it, built a .5 cubic foot 3/4" MDF box, fitted it with a pair of old Jensen 6.5" coaxial car speakers, and mounted it on top of the box, along with a 4.74A 19V DC power supply adapter with hot glue. Used an old leather belt to mount to the box as a carry strap. Quite frankly, it sounds like God!
      I built this for my wife, who wanted a portable bluetooth speaker that she could carry around with her anywhere, and plug into a 110V receptacle. She craved something that sounded better than the junk bluetooth speakers they sell in stores, which we bought several of, that were all pathetic. They lack bass, true stereo sound, and an appreciable loudness. With this speaker, the bass is decent, and tight, the flawless sound quality is nothing short of excellent, and the volume levels are enough to fill a large room, or even an outdoor party in the 1 acre backyard.
      Total investment: (Not including the speakers I had laying around the garage, and the particle board, glue and screws I had in my workshop.) - About $16.00 USD
      A little over $8.00 for the amplifier, and a little less than $8.00 for the DC power supply adapter. All purchased on Aliexpress.

    my power supply will be a 10.8-12.6V (3s) battery
    my bms can provide up to 10A
    is that enough for 30W+30W?
    my speakers are 14Ω and they draw less power naturaly, Im afraid I wont be able to get 30+30 with the 10.8V
    my battery pack has 6 batteries and I can change the BMS-configuration to get 22V if its realy needed

      the 2x 100W version actually supports down to 2 Ohm per channel, the 2x 50W does not
      you will severely underpower the speakers though (which isn't bad but wont get anywhere near as loud as it could)
