2003 Camry 2.4L. Added the non foulers. Dorman - Help Spark Plug Non-Foulers - 18mm Gasket Seat 42009 part #. 9.99 at O'Reilly. Drill 1/2 hole through one (don't touch it right after--it is hot!!). I was worried the oil pan was a little close but it ended up fitting just fine. Screw it on top the second one and screw that into the hole in the downstream sensor hole. I installed both into the cat pipe and then screwed in the 02 sensor after. Easy to remove 02 sensor for me. Didn't need a special wrench--just sprayed a little WD-40, waited a few minutes and used a 22mm wrench to remove. On this vehicle easy to remove the plug for the sensor (it's just to the right and a little above the sensor) so it doesn't twist the cord to remove and install. Don't tighten the aluminum non foulers too much in the pipe--the pipe will win that battle. Drove for about 30 miles yesterday and no light (yet). Was doing it after 20 before. I'll put an update after more miles. Update Jan 2024. Has never thrown the code since and passed Colorado emissions.
Thanks for the write up on this. My son's 05 Camry just threw 0420 code. I watched a video on where the bank 1 sensor is for that car I noticed immediately how close it was to the oil pan. I was hoping that spark plug foul trick would fit.
