Saw this one in person in Texas right in the center. Unless you see this in person there are no words to describe what it is like. What I saw today was the most beautiful & incredible thing I have EVER witnessed. If you haven't seen one of these total solar eclipses, you need to do it in your lifetime. It had a profound impact on me, & I can't quite explain how.
I totally understand the feeling you describe…witnessed Totality today in NW Pennsylvania, and honestly watching this video I started crying like a baby 😂 😭because it just took me back to the intense feelings of wonder that we all experienced✨ I cannot even begin to imagine how to put it into words ❤ Also it was such an existential human experience watching around all of these people who are so different in their views and politics and we all fight with each other so much…but there is something about sharing this intense human experience with each other that is just so connecting ✨
I had a whole plan setup. Booked a cabin in Northern Maine. Bought my eclipse glasses and packed everything for the day. 10 minutes before I was supposed to head out, I get the most intense abdominal pain I've ever experienced in my life. Had to call 911 and hours of agony later I find out I have a kidney stone. I didn't get the see the eclpise at all. My hospital room had zero windows and I missed the whole thing. But, it is what it is. I will see the next one in 20 years 🫠🙃
Omg YOU MADE YOUR VERY OWN ECLIPSE INSIDE YOUR BODY!! You're, like, in tune with the universe?! I am so sorry though, I’ve had a kidney stone and I know how truly awful it is. My sympathies. ✌️
I took the day off work, took my kids out of school, got my wife and we drove 2 hours to san saba, tx to see the eclipse from a playground. Was definitely worth everything

Didn’t catch totality this time from NYC but getting so much joy watching these people get it! I’ll never forget taking in totality in 1999 from the middle of the Black Sea!!!!
No,but the magic was in how many came out to watch peacefully, sharing glasses with strangers to see a celestial event even if it wasn’t the magic of totality.

I live in Baltimore. And although we only had a 90% eclipse, the eerie feeling of the eclipse still took hold. As we neared our maximum, I noticed as shadows became sharper, the temperature dropped about 5-7 degrees, the breeze picked up, the sky became a deeper blue, colors looked duller, and the sun was a thin crescent! That already wowed me. Can’t wait to experience a total one sometime in the future.

The sun was over 98% covered where I am. Still a jolly good show. As the shadow crept its last minute or so toward maximum, I could see the staff of a law office, a building demolition crew, folks from a music lesson academy, and the employees of a party store all stop what they were doing for a while to bask outside in the astronomical rarity. But there was still all kinds of traffic rushing by on the road -- drivers that were just so "cool" or "important" that they couldn't pull over in a parking lot and pause for even two or three minutes and join the rest of us basking fools. Hm.
If I were seeing an eclipse like this I would really want to be somewhere with other people who wanted to be or somewhere where they were quiet. It’s such a special moment meant for introspection and awe and thought. The screaming and phones held up would really ruin the experience for me.
I understand that. Next time I see one I’d want to be in a forest somewhere alone for sure. 👍🏼 But man, you just can’t help but scream. It’s such a mindblowing sight.
The 2024 total solar eclipse is so memorable to me. It's the time when I turned 32. What a wonderful gift on my birthday. I know that the LORD GOD will redeem me as he promised through my Lord Yeshua.
Truly sad that your mind isn’t able to shake off the medieval mythology, whe our understanding of reality is so far advanced. O, well. If you have bought a safe and lock up your guns, I guess that’s all we can hope from you. The Crumbey kid’s parents were convicted, you know
I was in a parking lot in Ohio with 20 others. We all cheered too. There is something about this that nobody will understand unless you experienced it too. It was a beautiful day
I remember when I was 13 years old, the Solar Eclipse occurred in Europe (1999), and I was told that this happens once every thousand years or so, so I am one of the lucky kids to see this. It was such an amazing moment for me back then.
I own a driving range in Ohio and we had given our customers who came at the time of the eclipse a glow ball and everyone hit them at the same time during totality, it was awesome
Back in 2017 during the last eclipse I was in middle school and was able to go outside to see a partial covering, it was as if it was evening with how much sunlight was blocked. Ever since then I swore I would travel to the path of totality for the next one (which happens to fall a month before I graduate) and see it in full. My mom and I drove a few hours and found a good spot to watch with conditions that cleared up just in time. Things went quiet except for the sounds of the animals and there was a strange feeling in the air as the unusual darkness set in, and then we looked up to see the total eclipse in all its glory. At totality it was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen, there was detail in ways I couldn't have even imagined and it completely blew my expectations out of the water. It almost felt surreal and as if you had stepped into another dimension. Pictures seriously do NOT do it justice and if you're ever near the path in the future, go. The partial eclipse is cool, but it has nothing on totality which is just absolutely mesmerizing. It was truly an incredible experience.
Even I am not there I felt the goose bumps and the excitement through their reactions when they all screamed so loud. They are so fortunate to witnessed this event.
My daughter and son-in-law drove me from Southeastern Pennsylvania up to Erie Pennsylvania where there was totality. I am so grateful that they took me. I was 10 years old for the one in 1970 for Long Island New York where I lived. Now this is my second one and it was spectacular. My son-in-law found an isolated place so that we can enjoy the spectacle in peace.
If it wasn't for the argon in the earths atmosphere (which is the gas that gives the sky its blue colour due to 'light scattering' of the sun's rays) you would see them in the daytime too.
We all think that life is about how much money we have in the bank, or how much we’re valued at our job, or how big our houses and cars are… but it’s not. It’s moments like this. Collective awe at the beauty of the universe we live in. We are all so little in the grand scheme of things but here we are, for this sliver of time, alive… together.
I loved listening to their reactions! I was 100 miles south of there with my family and we were reacting the same way at that moment. It was absolutely incredible!
My wife and I took time off and had our three grandsons with us to watch it. Seeing as it will not happen here for over 50 years I hope that when they see the next one they will have fond memories of us making it special for them.
Great video! Most don't show how the area looked during the event as they focused on the event in the sky itself. This was cool seeing it look like dusk at mid day.
Dallas you saw something truly amazing that I in Saskatchewan will probably never see in my lifetime. I missed the one in 1979. I'm 55 y/o, may not see the one in 2044, which is supposed run through Saskatchewan.
In Greenville, NC-Amazing experience! So jealous of my family in Texas! How amazing. I got goosebumps. So amazing those kids in path of totality will remember this forever
Exactly... knowlege gives people power. For example: fire was considered a god... until man discovered what fire actually is... and so will be for any "god".
I live in southern NH and drove north to Pittsburg, NH to see it. Literally one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. Being able to see solar plasma jets peeking out behind the moon with my own unaided eyes and being able to see the corona of the sun was breathtaking. Totality lasted about 3 minutes and it went way too fast!!! I was so bummed out when it was over but it was an experience I will never forget. I’m 24, and I had never seen one before, so to say my mind was blown is an understatement. On top of that, it was a beautiful, perfectly clear day without a singular cloud in sight. I found a nice, quiet, small parking lot with only around 15 people or so, and hearing the collective cheers and gasps as totality occurred only added to the experience. I’m so glad I was able to catch this amazing event, as the next one in America won’t be until 2044!!
Also from Southern NH. And i traveled to Colebrook for this eclipse. Id say this was a jaw dropping experience but that doesn't do it justice. Somehow it has changed my way of thinking. Don't know if it will wear off in the coming months or not. It is now a happy memory i will never forget.

There was one back in 2018-19 I remember because I was at work in the Bay Area and we all went outside and they gave us those special glasses to look at the sun but it never got this dark and it was around 10 in the morning? How come it got darker here?

Got 30% eclipse in Spokane, WA at around 10:30 a.m. local time! Pretty interesting, peering through the sunlight filtering clouds, seeing the sun take the shape of a bitten cookie.
I watched it from Meadville, PA. I only saw totality for 1 minute and 30 seconds. But, the little time I had shared with the universe gave me a whole insight into my place in it. I had an ego death without the drugs. I found a sense of peace, of belonging, and understanding of my existence. It’s an experience I will never forget.
Luke 21:25-27 NKJV “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

O, well. If you have bought a safe and lock up your guns, I guess that’s all we can hope from you. The Crumbey kid’s parents were convicted, you know
The Solar eclipse is the equivalent of the dvd logo bouncing perfectly into the corner of the screen.
Just in Awe..... magnificent phenomenon indeed!!! Thanks for sharing the moment Dallas people....!!!!
Wow!! I dont know which im more amazed at, the actual eclipse or the wonderful crowd reaction 💗
I Just hope everyone got their Solar Eclipse vaccine before they went outside and stood next to each other~!
STUPID MORTALS
I was in a parking lot in Ohio with 20 others. We all cheered too. There is something about this that nobody will understand unless you experienced it too. It was a beautiful day
I remember when I was 13 years old, the Solar Eclipse occurred in Europe (1999), and I was told that this happens once every thousand years or so, so I am one of the lucky kids to see this. It was such an amazing moment for me back then.
The birds were freaking out lmao
😂😂😂😂
Birds went nuts here in TX.
Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks for sharing your story.❤
I was fortunate enough to watch the whole thing from my back yard
Mine front of the house was so clear and beautiful amazing ❤❤❤❤.
In 1986 I witnessed a UFO 🛸 that was flying 1/2 of second speed.
Me too, right from my back yard. Never seen anything like it, truly incredible!
This was absolutely amazing!!
Goosebumps! ✨✨✨
It was absolutely amazingly spiritual.
I could see stars in the middle of the day
If it wasn't for the argon in the earths atmosphere (which is the gas that gives the sky its blue colour due to 'light scattering' of the sun's rays) you would see them in the daytime too.
I really wish I was there. 🌑
The clouds broke at a perfect time and the total eclipse was so beautiful. Wow!! What a great moment in science history!!!!
I saw it from McKinney and yes the clouds did just happen to break at the perfect time. Very lucky
God is amazing isn't he😢😢
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 god???@@abigailessel9895
@@abigailessel9895 no but science sure is amazing
@@abigailessel9895yes he is
Saw totality in Southern Ontario today. Wow just an incredible thing to see with your own eyes. Pictures don't do it justice
My right ear really did enjoy this video, thanks.
This is great footage.
Spectacular!!!
It's a beautiful spectacle for anyone to see..we as human beings on a place we call Earth..home. Our beautiful planet. Trully humbling.
And we are definitely not alone💯
@@HoneyBunches100In 1986 I witnessed a UFO 🛸 We are not alone and we are not the only ones created.
I loved listening to their reactions! I was 100 miles south of there with my family and we were reacting the same way at that moment. It was absolutely incredible!
YOU'RE LOST
Finally.....a video that maintains the same settings to actually see the difference.....almost.....
I'm from Philly, and we tried to watch the eclipse, but it got really cloudy, so we couldn’t see it 😢
Same in San Antonio
ha lose
yeah it sucks the next total eclipse is in like europe in 2 years lmao so pipe dream
@@shinski8114 we won't see the next eclipse until 20 years from now
cool with the buildings in the background and the lights
I live right in Niagara, we all got our glasses and watched if from our backyard!! It was sooo cool!!
This was the most awe-inspiring thing I've ever witnessed. Totally surreal.
Once in a lifetime, Mother Nature's doing, phenomenal.
That is INCREDIBLE how dark it got! Here in Kansas City, we only had 85% of totality, and it was hardly noticeable.
100% here in TX & I'm not kidding you: Went night dark. Just blew my mind away.
@@StormChaserMaci.you will never forget it 👍
the difference between a 99% eclipse and 100% eclipse is literally night and day
What a view amazing
😂😂😂😂😂
My wife and I took time off and had our three grandsons with us to watch it. Seeing as it will not happen here for over 50 years I hope that when they see the next one they will have fond memories of us making it special for them.
Great video! Most don't show how the area looked during the event as they focused on the event in the sky itself. This was cool seeing it look like dusk at mid day.
We had 94% eclipse coverage in Oklahoma City and it was nothing compared to what I'm seeing in this video. This is amazing.
Agreed but did you see the shadows cast by your hand and the trees? Absolutely bizarre
In your area 95%, but it was a total solar eclipse in Antler, OK where I drove for 2 hrs from MWC.
My God is real, only him can do such!🙏🙏🙏🙏💯
Thankfully, your god had nothing to do with any of it.
Dallas you saw something truly amazing that I in Saskatchewan will probably never see in my lifetime. I missed the one in 1979. I'm 55 y/o, may not see the one in 2044, which is supposed run through Saskatchewan.
You’d be 75, good chance you’ll still be around
75 is doable.
It was seriously the most profound thing I've ever seen
In Greenville, NC-Amazing experience! So jealous of my family in Texas! How amazing. I got goosebumps. So amazing those kids in path of totality will remember this forever
We all shine on like the moon and the stars and the sun 🤗 John Lennon
I was in CALIFORNIA when it happened and I witnessed the partial part of it. Wished it happened here but NICE
1000 years ago people would have been screaming in terror. now its a celebration.
Very interesting
You don’t know that. I bet the native Americans were really chill and saw it as the spiritual event that it is.
Exactly... knowlege gives people power.
@@toolsinhand1911 I know exactly what you mean! It gave me a new perspective on everything. Seeing something that incredible just changes you, I feel like. I’m sure it will wane off at some point but I don’t think it will ever truly go away!
It was amazing and stunning to see it at least for a bit 🖤 greetings from Canada!
Absolutely Amazing!❤️❤️❤️
Looks like the world didnt end
Not now but some time this year or next year cause WW3 is here buddy…
@@damiensatan666999you not liking it here on this planet bro? If you were a billionaire would you be saying the same thing?

hands down one of the coolest things ive ever seen. how it went fron daylight to night time was crazy to me. i got goosebumps when it happened
I was in 88.1 percent and it was amazing. The energy was incredible and the coolness of the air added to the wondermint of the day. We live in a spectacular universe.
Beautiful Solar Eclipse!
There was one back in 2018-19 I remember because I was at work in the Bay Area and we all went outside and they gave us those special glasses to look at the sun but it never got this dark and it was around 10 in the morning? How come it got darker here?
@@jdos56432017 .
@jdos5643 Maybe that time the solar eclipse path was different. But this time that area was perfect place to witness it.
IF THIS IS VERY COOL TO WATCH HOW MUCH MORE THE CREATOR OF THIS?? WHAT A MIGHTY & GREAT GOD🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF THE ONE TRUE GOD WE LOVE YOU ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I saw it in 1999 in France 😊
I was in Xertigny, Vosges. It was dull but not dark.
We couldn’t experience it from Bangladesh but it's incredible to watch the moment through this video and the reaction of the people.
Yes I loved that unity across the USA, people united for that eclipse & that was marvelous. I am from Bangladesh too.
kia ora from new zealand. Another 4 years until our country is able to see something like this. What an amazing thing to witness. Truly once in a lifetime experience for many.
So pissed it was cloudy and raining where I live.
Man wish we got that dark in Maryland ours was 93%
I’m so jealous as I’m from NYC and we won’t get a total eclipse until 2079……
I’m from germany so for me it’s 2081.. the last one here was when I was 2 in 1999 so looking at my age I gotta get lucky to get to experience this at all if I’ll still be alive and not blind lol
We might be dead when the next one happens.
That’s if it’s not cloudy then 😂
Dang 😂😭
You still have time go drive over to Cleveland
I was there with my pup. It’s was beautiful! Definitely amazing in person.
It was SUCH a cloudy morning too! I was so worried since I flew in from LA to see it, thank the heavens it cleared up half an hour before totality!
Wonderful & happy for you
Got 30% eclipse in Spokane, WA at around 10:30 a.m. local time! Pretty interesting, peering through the sunlight filtering clouds, seeing the sun take the shape of a bitten cookie.
You got to see a total eclipse it is just amazing
Glory be to God! 😎🌞😃
Lucky..I live in California
I watched it from Meadville, PA. I only saw totality for 1 minute and 30 seconds. But, the little time I had shared with the universe gave me a whole insight into my place in it. I had an ego death without the drugs. I found a sense of peace, of belonging, and understanding of my existence. It’s an experience I will never forget.
The eclipse was the most amazing thing I have ever seen
Good job
Beautiful
Luke 21:25-27 NKJV
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Really? How often are you people going to call for the end times. You seem to do it once a decade for the last 2000 years. Don’t you Rene pm ré when your jesus claimed that it would happen in the lifetime of some of his acquaintances. You folks are so stupid.
OHHH BRUHH!!! I didnt know it became THAT DARK!!
that was ALMOST PITCH BLACK!! wow!
Now i see y ppl were that excited.
I just wish the cam didnt auto-switch to Night Mode, it slightly ruined the fun of looking at the actual dark. Jeez.
It was incredible! I am a native Dallasite. I had to watch it through my window, because I had just gotten out of the hospital (pneumonia...im doing better now).
Anyway, it was the weirdest, most spectacular thing I have ever seen in my 55 years of life. It went absolutely pitch-black here at around 2pm. I'm so glad that I was able to experience something like this, and also glad that the visitors here got to see it.
I live in Dallas! Honestly the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen and it ended up being far better than I expected! Felt almost surreal to experience this in person! The outside lights all came on, the temp got cooler, and the cicadas were even making noise 😅
I can imagine the words you said ! such mesmerizing ! even though I live in the opposite side of World but I felt great by watching it live in youtube.
When the darkness falls you have to cheer and get your phone out its the new generation thing 😂
Oh good. Nobody burst into flames. I thought I might miss something.
