It's very nice! Just one thing I would want is a servings feature. I'm a college student so I usually want to cook in bulk for the week, but when planning for the week I don't want to make it seem like I'm cooking the same meal multiple times. Therefore it would be nice if there were a servings count that would carry over so that it doesn't think I'm recooking the same meal. Not a huge problem though as I can just leave the next few days empty for dinner:)
I really like the tags function! It'd be great if you could add multiple tags - for example, "Dinner" and "Vegetarian" to make the meal planner search even more specific. Great template though, and the video was super helpful. :)
Great idea! I'll do a second version of this at some point.. for now you could create your own tag called "Veggie/Dinner". It's not ideal but would work!
@@ideallysheets I feel like adding a "Pantry" tab in version 2 would also be nice to keep track of ingredients you already own to compare to the grocery list. Thanks for making this!
Wow the level of detail is so impressive! I can see myself using this sheet because keeping track of groceries for varied meals is so difficult. I also want to note that I see a lot of potential here for you to translate the technical details to a mobile app, which you could definitely monetize :)
Spreadsheets are my solution to everything. I was about to start working on one for meal planning and thought to check to see if anyone else had made one just incase. This is exactly what I wanted to make! You save me so many hours of work and I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate it! Thank you!!!
I just found this and I know I am going to be obsessed!! If I could offer a suggestion, if you could somehow make it so the grocery list could be organized by categories (dairy, frozen, produce, etc.) it would be absolutely perfection. Thank you so much!!!

How lovely! I second to @dara8D's comment on adding more meals per day, or just select the amount of meals of that type. I'm giving a pizza party and try to make sense of all the ingredients lol

This is great! I wonder if its possible to use Zapier to send me the recipe instructions to my email for the meals I pick. Also, do you happen to know have a way to copy the Hello Fresh ingredients list in?
Just found this and love it! Only issue I’ve been having is the buttons don’t work on the mobile apps. I don’t have a computer and only use iPad. To save a meal I have to use the browser desktop version which is a bit annoying flipping tabs to save things
Google Sheets unfortunately doesn’t allow buttons to work on mobile for some reason, however I have a work around for the next version. The grocery list checkboxes work on mobile though!
looks great tbh, is there anything I really shouldn't be editing in there? I was trying to change it to a different language and it showed me a message saying "You’re trying to edit part of this sheet that shouldn’t be changed accidentally." I can make do perfectly in english since you made it so nice that I can change meals, ingredients, tags, etc to any language, it's just a few things so it's no biggie but just wanted to know anyway. Thanks for this incredibly useful sheet
No macros, something I'm considering to add. I'll add more meals in the next version. For now, if you look in the code for 'A5:G7' those are the ranges for the meals. If you increase the range, you'll be able to add more. So A5:G9 would be 5/day. Make sure to change in both places and also increase the range for the dropdowns.
Would it be possible to have a 'randomiser' in the meal planner? something that would auto populate all the cells with a random assortment of the meals you've created?

Wow this is amazing, thank you! One question... I noticed that sometimes not all meals' ingredients get "uploaded" in the Meal Planner and I have to copy and past them in that sheet... Why this happens?
Does anyone know if I can add lines to the meal planner tab so I can do more than one week at a time? I thought I had but it's not generating the ingredients on the grocery tab (but does generate the name of meals).
I don’t have a computer just an iPhone and iPad. I’m unable to hit the Accept Permission button, it just selects it. Do I have to gain access to a computer first to accept permissions so the code can run?
This spreadsheet looks amazing. I am struggling with plannig. I have to ideas regarding improvement: 1. I eat more than 3 meals pper day so it would be helpful to be able to set amount of meals. 2. It would be perfect to count calories and macro with this spreadshit.

Yes, just add it in once, it doesn't matter how many days it takes to eat!

Hey, this is perfect spredsheet! There is one thing missing for me: Is it possible to add more meals within a day (now its 3, lets update them to 5)?

There's some tweaks in the code you have to do for this. I believe it's just editing a range. But I will add this feature in an updated version!

It works much better on a PC, but try using a browser vs the app if you haven’t already. I will work on a more mobile friendly version!
