Some problems are endemic and will never truly be solved. Like volcanoes and cancer, they are always ready to erupt and destroy us. I agree that some tradition is obsolete - but many traditions became traditions for a darn good reason. Our goal, then, should be to determine which traditions are worth upholding and which should be modified or discarded.@@AdamPutnam-ur8td

@@AdamPutnam-ur8td "often" Its entirely dependent on the situation and frankly weather each person at that moment considers or even recognises the thing as a problem.
Like it or not taking issue with just the concept of tradition is stupid, you yourself will inveitably just end up advocating for your own set of traditions.
The only sane way to approach it is on a case by case basis. In general if people are willing continuing a tradition and there is no significant negative side effect there is little reason to stop doing it.

We have to remind the next generation that the whole world was shit and the Westerners weren't the only one committing war crimes and were committing crimes against other criminals. It’s against… Skepticism in it it’s proper order and investigation and thought that builds on itself. I’m not convinced it’s that they have the issue here. I think we designed the media landscape, and we did nothing. Less than nothing to help them personally deal with it. And I think it’s more about the last 30 or 40 years. Not 20. So folks think Palestinians are merely oppressed, sex is gender and is mutable, and the world can be found online. And it’s not just the Z’s. It’s every drink uncle you ever had, online and telling fanciful stories. With debt the size of a mountain, a degree that was earned by repeating answers back as quick as possible, and no understanding of others values. Or the value of values. They can fort up wherever they are and never find a genuine interaction ever.

“They only teach them about this tiny part of slavery.”
    And
“They don’t understand why their country is so great.”
    And
“They don’t understood how the current generation generated wealth”
Are all bizarrely put together sentences. Smashed into one argument they imply “Slavery is good, generated wealth, and greatness to our country.”
Man, you are not good at this “public speaking” thing.
Also, I don’t think you understand macroeconomics at all. Gen Z and millennials are overly educated for their jobs. They do know the world better than other generations. Asking questions is what an intellectually honest person does, and if it’s not answered properly that is not on them.

  • @Pangora2

The war against their children started by the boomers left the Millenials inept, and their ineptness allowed Gen Z to just peace out. The plus side of Gen Z is they chose to opt out, but its unclear they can opt back in when the time comes.

Before the 20th century, every civilization was pillaging and enslaving other people. The West is the first to not only break away from the norm but also change the world as we know it to the point where slavery became much rarer around the world. Other nations of the world do not have regret their past of genocide and slavery as much as the West does.

@@ironmind258 @ironmind258 @ironmind258 we starved a half a million to death next door in ireland 1847. we took the produce to the stock up colonising ships and feed workers in the industrial cities in the UK while the irish peasants in the west of ireland died. It's just a simple example and very well documented, there's no ambiguity. The standards were pretty base, i mean it's not like these peasants weren't Christians even.

North American slavery wasn’t a tiny bit it was the whole thing at the time and they need to learn how Americans had national identity over abolishing slavery for an extended period of time before it became abolished and that was because other Americans made up the whole opposition in the world to the abolishing of slavery

This one's pretty obvious, but when you have more militaristic capabilities (Be that through the alliances you've created, or your own brute force) you tend to be able to control things like international trade routes, and enforce an international law.
Being "Top dog" is having the most capability for force and thus having the most stability, as little else will be able to keep a country stable on it's own.
