Thank you for sharing this. Sonography is a lot harder than I thought. Just watching the amount you have to study gives me anxiety. I’m thinking about applying for sonography program but scared of failure. Science is my worst subject...😭 please, keep these informative videos coming🙏🏻 by the way, you’re so beautiful :)
Awe thank you! Luckily DMS is a pretty concentrated area of science, so as long as you are good with anatomy and physics you're all set. Taking the prerequisite classes will prepare you for the kind of info you'd be learning in the DMS program, so I'd say if you can get through those, and do well, you can make it in the program. It is a lot of studying, but what I've found is that when you find what you are passionate about, you'll be enthusiastic about the opportunity to learn as much as you can about it.
Thank you for sharing!! I just finished my first semester of our cardiovascular sonography program and love it! I’m always interested in the different studying techniques and strategies people use. I will definitely be trying some that you shared :-) Good luck next semester!
awesome video. I am taking my prerequisites for sonography and hopefully next fall I will get selected into an accredited program. These study tactics will for sure help my studying skills. thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! Learning sonography has been so amazing and sometimes a little scary/intimidating, but overall very rewarding, especially if you are passionate about it. Go for your dreams!
WOWW!!!This is the best video I have ever watched. You are super organized!!!! I wish you can share your notes with us or have a series of videos explaining your notes. I really wish I can buy them!!! Thank you so much!!!!
is there anyway you could share all your notes on a google doc.! i am starting sonography school next month and your copies and drawings seem to be explained perfectly and you have great handwriting. it would be amazing for me to print this out and study. help a sis out🙏
This is such a great video. Thank you so much for taking the time. I start my sonography school journey this august and I was curious to what concepts or terms I should prep now before I start being that it’s so terminology heavy? I downloaded a couple of sonography quiz apps but would love love your advice on organization BEFORE I start. Thanks again 💜🙏🏼
Hey congrats!!! My program recommended not starting to study before the program starts. Honestly I think that’s good because you already know the basics from your prerequisites. I’m sure your program will not be expecting you to know any sonography specific terms before u start, and they may have a very specific way of teaching you that might be confusing if you try to teach yourself early. Just take the time to relax and have fun because sonography school is a lot of hard work. You’ll do great!
I actually don’t use anything else. Just the books we use in school which are the DMS textbooks by Sandra Hagen ansert 8th edition both volumes and the workbook. Also the Sidney Edelman book for understanding ultrasound physics.
I wish I could do that now, but I literally have like 1000+ flash cards and binders upon binders filled with notes lol. If I had the time I would totally format everything better and make it available for others to use. This is definitely something I might do once I graduate and have the time to do it. Best of luck to you, you'll do great!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This video is amazing. It really helped me evaluate my own studying methods.👍🏽
I'm so glad I was able to help, and that you enjoy my video! Good luck with your studies.

I already have the concept of sound physics due to previous studies in audiology and some anatomy.. I just want to be as proactive as I can

hi! tnx a lot for the video! perhaps you know if I can study to become a sonographer after Bachelor in biology?
Madam...colon ulcers can be seen in sonography?
Did you have to do essays ?
How do you balance work and school and how long do you study during the day 😅
How long does it take the time to get your certification plz?
How did you draw all those organs .
Your drawings are a lot better than mine🤣
Hi , Iam preparing for the Spi can you help me please what I need to study ??
Could you post books you use to help you that are not required in the program?
I actually don’t use anything else. Just the books we use in school which are the DMS textbooks by Sandra Hagen ansert 8th edition both volumes and the workbook. Also the Sidney Edelman book for understanding ultrasound physics.
ARDMS boards registry review books would probably be good too, that’s where our instructors get a lot of our test questions.
Thank you!! How many hours per day/week do you spend studying?
Hey! I study 5-6 days per week, usually 3-5 hours per day. I take a lot of little breaks and I do different study methods do I don’t get bored.
Would you sell your notes??
Are u taking online classes or In person?
In person
@@JMaeSono gotcha! Thank u for the reply 👍
