    Every time I spot a flatbed with a perfect, squared away tarp on it, I automatically assume it's a Melton truck. Those boys throw rags like no one else in the industry. Very professional, every time.

    Nice, our company has a 3 tarp system as well. I'm not a personal fan of it. It definitely insures full coverage but if you tarp correctly you can make it work with 2 27 foot tarps as well. 6 foot drops work for most loads.

    The tarping is fine . Still everyone that traps loads should switch to rope instead of those dangerous bungy cords. Those things have broken on me and hit my face so near my eye I thought wow I could have been blinded. Now ropes just do not do that and it is faster once the person is used to making the knots . Once a person has that down it is faster and so much safer. At least wear safety glasses when using those rubber cords with the hooks on them . I have had new ones break and old ones it does not seem to matter. I saw people who did nothing at a lumber place but tarp loads and they all told me that yes they have been hit in the face with the hooks . One guy had a massive cut in his arm once from them that had he been alone he would have died . He had cut so deep into his arm he almost lost it .

    • @50plustrucker
      @50plustrucker  9 місяців тому

      I keep rope for loads that are uneven or tall and tend to make the tarps blowout while traveling. I find that rope keeps enough tension to keep the tarps in good order.

My dm was blowing up my phone once I got in the truck I saw I had a miss call from her I call her back and she tells me that load was a mistake and was a load that was given to another driver the day before and to head back to the truck stop where I was at in the beginning for the weekend, turns out the load I got loaded with belongings to the owner operator that helped me tarp up that load Long story short I got tired of the bs so I quit

      Respectfully, I’m not sure you’re a driver or just interested in the culture but keep in mind. We tarp for many reasons not just because it’s going to rain. We tarp to deter theft and it protects the load from wind damage during transport. The list of reasons are long.

    Sad, but you see that a lot in all fields of work today. I feel sorry for business owners because everyone could make more if we took care of supplies provided and needed. We don't have the pride of our ancestors. Look at our cities!! Garbage everywhere and trash cans what are they?

      Call Joplin Tarp Company. The phone number is in the description of this video. If you works with Melton they will deliver the tarps to the Tulsa terminal for you. You can tell him what you all over the phone and they can take your payment over the phone and deliver it for you.
