In your video you should mention the difference between Angular and AngularJS. AngularJs is not the same as Angular. Angular is the successor of AngularJs. In fact AngularJS isn t supported anymore since last year (as far as i know) while Angular is still supported (in fact Angular 16 was released a couple of months ago and it s very good. It s charm to write code in modern angular) and it has a high demand at the job market to. At my region somewhere in Germany there is a higher demand on Angular developer than react. According to meetups i've visited angular is also favored over react but this is only a local expression and might not be true for other regions.

Angular is favored over React for large-scale, continuous projects such as enterprises where you aren't done with the project, ever.
I'd start a new small-scale project anyday with React/NextJS, but a large scale one at enterprise levels? Nah, as much as I used to hate Angular, I'd choose Angular any day now.

I also wouldn t use angular for a small project. Due to the fact that I m professionaly only developing enterprise applications I m mostly using Angular. I started with Angular 13 I guess. With no doubt Angular is by far more restrictive than next js But modern Angular doesn t deserve the hate it gets. I guess most peo ple Don t like Angular because they're didn t use it for the right type of app or they're used a legacy Version without the new features like standalone reactive forms enhancement and signals. Anyway at the end these a just tools that help you get the job done. It's your responsibility as developer to pick the best tool for you problem. So it s up to you to choose Angular as weapon of choice or not! I n my opinion the only critical thing is that new developer are getting discouraged to use angular by the online community (reddit, UA-cam and so on). The purpose of this comment was to motivate possible readers to stay open to inform about angular or at least give interestes people the hint to not exclude Angular as a possible tool in your toolset in advance! Same here in France: Angular is still the most popular in big companies like Banks, Insurance Companies etc. So it's also the framework that allows to make more money than the React lib.

I thought someone who has dedicated his UA-cam channel to web dev should know the difference between AngularJS and Angular... Or he just didn't notice it?
That's how React guys are: they don't get how AngularJS and Angular are different beasts :p The rest of the video was good though.
The funny part is that right now, React is having an Angular moment, with lot's of developer finding it harder to wrap their head around new things happening in React now, with the server components.
He knew because he hovered over Angular which is just below Svelte when he spoke about Svelte, most React guys love to bash Angular because tbh they dont get it.

I still don't get why so many people just hate angular.. Just because it's hated by others?
At least in Germany most big, well paying companies use Angular and while currently learning it I must say, it really offers you much more possibilites and flexibility than React, I kinda like it.
Vim’s 22% is not really that low. Think that 1 out of 5 devs in a room might be using Vim, that is reasonable in my opinion.
Combined with the percentage of Neovim, that would be like 2 out 5 people. Pretty neat
@@kamehameha38 + combined those who use other IDE's with Vim/NeoVim integrated. (Personally being one of those who uses WebStorm/IDEA/VS Code w/ Vim/IdeaVim/Neovim)

8:28: It's not always syntactically correct, especially with a newer language/framework like svelte. ChatGPT often sneaks in some react- or vue-code, even though i explicit asked for svelte.

@Josh I think you have interpreted the bar chart slightly wrong. The categories of people in the Developer Profile are not mutually exclusive. That is what I understood what you wanted to say, I could be wrong too. The 80% people learning from videos are not "just" learning from videos. And the 50% people learning from books are not "just" learning from books. Resources are cross referenced across profiles. This kind of data could probably be better presented by a venn diagram, but I see with the amount of categories presented here, it could easily get messy and difficult to understand. Maybe if we were to just present top 3 categories on a venn diagram, videos and books would have intersection area of 80-90%.

A CSS expert is really valuable. As JavaScript developers, we tend to learn just the basics of CSS, plus some Flexbox and CSS Grids basics. But creative developers can create amazing web sites for luxury companies for examples ;)

about Stack overflow way in learning according to AI, the AI explanations about many technical questions are really poorly presented like the AI can't extract the exact point of technical questions about given topic of indicated language
edit: HTML/CSS 70k?! when I'm applying for few months for entry positions with js/ts/react/html/css/ and many more libraries/tools and still nothing, just how xD
I can’t believe that people with html css only, make 70k a year. You literally learn that within 2 months to have medior understanding. Add another 2 months to become a master. I don’t believe this is correct from stackoverflow. It is almost impossible to find a job with html css only, in my country lol
Mastering CSS takes a LOT of work. To become an expert, it takes years. So, a guy who's a CSS (real) expert can get hired as a creative developer.
He would still need to know some JavaScript to toggle CSS classes etc. But mastering CSS allows to do things that would require lot's of JS and would be less efficient.
Some customers really value nice and slick user interfaces as they allow to sell more are at a more expensive price :)

You lost me when you had a laugh at Angular pointing at AngularJS. You do realise that AngularJS was revolutionary in its day but is now a defunct framework that is no longer supported by Google and hasn't been for years. I'm not sure why you would find people not wanting to use that framework hilarious? I did subscribe to your channel because I enjoyed one of your Typescript videos, but I just unsubscribed because I now feel I cannot trust you fully understand what you are talking about.
