This novel is still sitting on my bucket list of books to read. I already read something by Ira Levin this year, but I like books that have movie adaptations for comparison.
@@NicolesBookishNook I thought "Rosemary's Baby" received a pretty good movie adaptation. It's almost one for one with the source material, which makes me wonder if that says more about the movie or novel.
@@JonathanRossignol I have Rosemary’s Baby on my Halloween list! And then I’m going to watch the movie with my hubby after I finish the book in October.
I watched the latest version of the Stepford wives years ago and I didn’t like it, but I should definitely check out the 1975 version. I may end up liking that one better, but first I want to read the book because the book is usually always better 😂
Can you imagine living like a stepford wife? Ha ha nope 👎 I did love the movie , I need to try out reading the book. When I shop for books at the second hand store ? I try my best to look out for very damaged books 📚
The book is great! You can definitely find used copies. I want to have a copy with the original cover and not the bad 2004 movie version, though Nicole Kidman is really pretty on the movie poster.

It’s a short read, so I think you can knock it out of the park (depending on how much time to have to read it) within a few days or a week at most.

Yes, the book is definitely the best but the 1975 version is pretty close, so I enjoyed it.
I personally much prefer the book, but the movies were good. It's just that the book is phenomenal!
I definitely prefer the book too but the 1975 version is a good rendition.
@@NicolesBookishNook Yeah!
@@danecobain and I’d never recommend the 2004 version 😂 unless someone wants to constantly eye roll for 1.5 hours.
@@NicolesBookishNook Weirdly I didn't hate it haha, but it was trash for sure!

@@NicolesBookishNook she is definitely a gorgeous actor Nicole Kidman . I loved her in the movie far and away with Tom Cruise
