Recently, much of the news has started to revolve around BRICS and how they are going to dethrone the good ol' US of A and create a multipolar world order, destroying the dollar and bringing a new golden age to the east. However, despite what suspicious twitter accounts tell you, this is far from the case. In this video we go down deep to discuss why China, Brazil, Russia, India, and South Africa are not doing anything similar, any time soon, and America is here to stay. Reserve currency, Chinese Banking, potential new BRICS members, and the status quo, we discuss all relevant subjects in this realm of Geopolitics.

There basically never had been a economic bloc that became a military one. the EU is the closest but no one treats that one mutual defense clause seriously, not even themselves. It was tacked on years later and is like half way in the treaty. It is so new and untested, it might as well not exist. Even if BRICS does add a military related clause, its unlikely to be upheld due to the members not being friendly with each other. A military alliance that can't keep its word is a useless one and has no deterrent value.

No stability, no common goals, no proximity, complete differences between the economies, their sizes etc. If you look at the EU, not all countries have Euro. My country Poland does not have it as meeting convergence criteria comes at giant expense. How do you imagine Brazil adopting Renminbi as their currency. Then even as a reserve currency it would mean that Brazil would need to put all the trust in communist regime that sees China as the center of the world. If it comes to this kind of things, the West is collectively some 200 years ahead and it won't change in a century to come. Hi! I'm Brazilian, and nobody here thinks BRICS is meant to "overthrow the west", it is purely an economic alliance, not a military one. BRICS has literally not affected our daily lives whatsoever.
There is no BRICS free travel zone or BRICS common currency, it is not like the EU or NATO.
An alliance that actually HAS affected our daily lives and functions more like the EU is Mercosul, which is like an EU but for South America only. Not a military alliance either, by the way. And unlike the EU it hasn't yet created a common currency or abolished borders between member states, it has only made travel and immigration easier.
Also, ask any Brazilian and they will tell you that we consider ourselves to be part of "the West™", as we speak an European language, are majority Christian, are located in the Western hemisphere and we are a capitalist (although corrupt) democracy.

It has never been created anywhere and never as an alliance with common "goals" regarding some kind of moral or military principles like the European Union or NATO, it was created as an economic and political platform to facilitate access to each other's markets, no more, just for this they want strengthen their currencies to trade not with the dollar, but with their own currency. India and the U.S’s partnership is much stronger than people realize. Recently, a defense deal was made handing over drone and F16 technology to India. Anything to do with the F16 is held pretty close to the chest and is rarely shared. So relations must be pretty good. I’m assuming it’s part of the pacific blockade strategy to box in China. I’d feel sorry for China but it was the Americans who standardized global trade which allowed undeveloped country’s to prosper, including China. As soon as China got a little fuck you money they wanted to change the rules. If it wasn’t for the Americans the Chinese would still be the “sick man of Asia”.

As an Indian I am no advocator of china but first world country's self proclamation of being some kind of messiah or saviour of 2,3 world country is ridiculous. Their investments in developing or undeveloped countries are not any act of benevolence they are no charities they are what they are, investments. it's their need for cheap labour. Developed and developing countries's needs just complement each other so they fullfill it. No one is favouring anyone. No one can take the credit/blame for prosperity/impoverishment anywhere.

Cool to see you make a geopolitics video!
I think BRICS wont crush the western world order or anything, because as you said the countries themselves have very mixed interests, but it may bring more development opportunities to the global south, which the west traditionally has been bad in providing so yeah, but thats just my 2 cents
Edit: I also dont really think the US can be called a liberal democracy, as democratic values are in a contrast to the countries political reality

I am aware of problematic history, hypocrisy and corruption. However, the West, if you want the EU and the USA, Canada, AUS and NZ indeed did and do provide the Global South with a lot of funding, investments, donations, know-how an services. Some of this is strategic, but a lot of it is out of altruism and principles. The gifts from China already turn out to be quite treacherous for those who accepted them. And Russia... this is only cynical, you can't expect genuine good will from Russia at all. Up to this day, the reviled West remains the biggest source of fundind and opportunitie for the poorer countries. But we find it hard to accept dictatorships, human rights violations or corruption in general. With the BRICS, those are a given.
