to be fair, i feel like nowadays bleach is a huge series but somehow also a "you know it or you don't" series somehow. much more well known in the general anime community before than now. naruto still holds onto the idea of being that "ninja anime" still, which i guess makes naruto easier to remember than bleach? and i guess that thing called boruto helped people remember naruto better due to nostalgia maybe? and the opening could sound naruto-like, if you never listened to the op and watched the anime before or as a young adult back in those times.
great anime still, though, highly recommend bleach (the anime, not the liquid)

I feel like there is a difference between knowing a character design vs knowing an opening to an anime. You can read the manga and know what a character looks like.
Well one is an anime the other is a manga its two different medium, technically.

I thought it was Parasyte or Steins Gate, and was curious and googled it before watching the answer--they have almost the EXACT same face, same hairstyle, same look in their eyes. After looking at google images I still couldn't figure out which one it was XD

Side note: Even growing up watching the big three, I personally cannot remember any of the first openings. Also doesn't help that American adapted Naruto used the second opening.

So, in regards to SAO being the first Isekai, apparently Aura Battler Dunbine is the first Isekai anime released 1983 at least according to Google anyways, heh.
