That was a really really interesting & enjoyable video you should definitely do one like that again sometime please keep up the good work on your channel 👍👍
Excellent upload Stephen, shows just how efficient and well used public transport can be in the hands of local ownership, i.e without shareholders, demotivated staff and excruciating fares for cattle truck services. I worked in the bus industry for many years, and Blackpool Transport is right up there at the top in providing a modern low emission user friendly fleet, with excellent staff, and service reliability without parallel. Something we residents are proud of.
I agree with you regarding Blackpool Transport fleet, I found they are cleaner then Preston Bus and Stagecoach. Blackpool Transport does 2 services into Preston from Fleetwood - 74/75
FANTASTIC! Surprised you have not thought about filming bus journeys previously Stephen. They open up a whole new repertoire to your postings! A penny single to the Tower please conductor, I look forward to my journey!
This is excellent filming Stephen. A great run on this bus showing the different roads and features along the way. I've always noticed, aside from the trams, that Blackpool has always used top of the range buses for decades. Many thanks.
Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always loved this bus trip you should be a tour guide you have so much information to give fantastic have a great evening xx
Great little video, this could open up an avenue for a whole new range of videos... especially the not so nice areas of town. A ride on the wild side! 👍
Nice one Stephen....bus ride something completely different...Get to see parts of Blackpool I don't know until you hit Central Drive...As a kid used to stay @ Andy & Jimmy's opposite the joke shop 👏👏👏
Those days l used a lot of bus services to travel around Blackpool and fylde coast. I enjoyed watching from the bus rides.. once again thanks Stephen for your bus tour and it's a very informative guide..
Loved it , it was like a virtual tour felt as though I was on the bus , liked all the info you supplied, good to see a different side to Blackpool, great work 💙🎥😊💙
Wow Steve what an amazing video from the top deck of the no6 bus, you got some amazing views. Your knowledge of the area is invaluable, you would do an excellent commentary if you were a wireless operator in a police car during a police chase in Blackpool, your knowledge and input would be invaluable.👍👍
Nice video Stephen something different. I’m a bus user myself and do love a good bus ride. You can see so much from the top deck. Really enjoyed this one you should do more around Blackpool like this👍
Thanks Stephen for confirming that the Cherry Tree pub used to be called the Welcome Inn. We used to visit friends in Greenwood Ave when we live in Skipton, and we remember the Welcome.
Modern Buses are equipped with a STEERING WHEEL, which the driver is encouraged to fully utilise! 😂🤣😂 Aren't they going on strike for a Cost Of Living pay rise, like the Train Drivers?
Thanks Stephen. 11:57 People used to say you knew where you where when you heard when JFK was assassinated they also said that about Steve Davis (boring) vs Dennis Taylor (charismatic) epic snooker final 1985. I was in The George stay behind til 00:30 am when it finished (when closing time was 22:30pm) everybody wanted Dennis to win. I lived in Woolman Road at the time. Saddened beyond belief that such a beautiful building was destroyed. Thankfully Google street images backdating method still has it.
Hi I enjoyed that I haven't been on a bus in years, it sounds the people on that bus enjoyed your company. I still giggle at the things you say, I love these types of flogs by you anyway be safe and see you in the next one♥️

Do you remember the 16 service that ran from If I remember it went Squires Gate to Fleetwood. It took about 3 hours to get from one end to the other. Always wondered how many people made the mistake of getting that one.
7.12 it was a body repair shop - Fylde Motors possibly. Well known to cabbies as we did have a few shunts over the decades! Story about The Castle - a Blackpool policeman told me there was a disturbance in there one night in the mid-1980s, miners' strike. On attending he found a certain very well-known union leader standing at the bar, a bit tired and emotional, with his trousers round his ankles. The pub went quiet as the police walked in and AS shouted at them "What you going to do then?" Exit police! Good to hear you thanks the driver - more people should do that. Great vid as usual, thanks.
I made a video on a Bus going into Blackpool from Lancaster in 1982 (40 years ago). It was shot on a massive JVC (Vidicon Tube) Colour Camera, with a portable VHS Video Cassette Recorder! I took some footage on the Pleasure Beach and along the prom! ...... In 1986, I used Sony Betamax equipment up the Tower, in the Ballroom and Tower Building, and to shoot the 1986 illuminations, with Green Lasers! I'm still waiting to see inside SHOE CELLAR, which used to house the famous Doctor Who Exhibition (1974-85) ...... If I ever win the Lottery, I'm going to recreate and reopen the Doctor Who Exhibition! ...... Incidentally, I briefly lived on Easington Crescent, on the Grange Park Estate in 1986! Subsidence in Blackpool? ...... The Tower hasn't subsided! It's foundations are built on COTTON WOOL, and it's designed to fall into the sea, although nowadays, it'll just make a mess all over the COMEDY CARPET! 😂🤣😂
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool It's funny you should say that! Yes! I recall in the Tower Ballroom they thought I was from the BBC, because the Sony gear looked Pro! ...... And in Manchester, on the Coronation Street set, they thought I was a Pro too! ... I did a tracking shot of two friends from the Rovers Return, walking backwards down the cobbles to Alf's Mini Market, with a heavy Sony Camera and half a ton of Betamax VCR hanging off me, without falling over! Happy days!
That was a really really interesting & enjoyable video you should definitely do one like that again sometime please keep up the good work on your channel 👍👍

I loved this Stephen, I used to go to several places that you mentioned St. George's School, and the hypermarket. Keep up the great filming. Ruth

Hi love these tour videos 🌹💕
Glad you like them!
Thank you for the bus tour of Blackpool. Are you going to do anymore?.👍♥️
Went on a Blackpool bus last year to st Anne’s and couldn’t believe how comfortable they was and with tables
Bus driver deserves a pay rise - what a narrow winding route to take with such a large bus .Well done that man !
In all fairness the busses are designed to do sharp turns so it isn’t really to difficult even tho it is impressive with only a few weeks training
Modern Buses are equipped with a STEERING WHEEL, which the driver is encouraged to fully utilise! 😂🤣😂 Aren't they going on strike for a Cost Of Living pay rise, like the Train Drivers?

I enjoyed that , I felt like I was sitting on the bus with you :)
Glad to hear that!
You are making some good stuff.
Any chance you might consider doing some stuff on the old Moss.
Yeah I was just on the moss the other day and thought I should do a video there. I used to work on Jubilee Lane back in the olden days.
Thanks Stephen, it's been a while since I had a bus ride.

Stephen 7min 8 seconds.
It was a Car Repair Garage.
Prior to that it was a real old fashioned Corn Shop pulled down in early 60s.

You keep running into more and more of your fans Stephen… or should I call you Mr Blackpool. 😃
I certainly do!
I think a chat with you over a pint of Bass might be interesting
I really enjoyed that. Could you tell me what you said about the type of bin in the Central Drive area? I didn't catch it. Thank you x
