- Watch Deiva Magan Tamil Full Movie on Thamizh Padam. Deiva Magan, written and directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar is an adaptation of the Bengali novel Ulka by Nihar Ranjan Gupta. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan , J. Jayalalithaa and Pandari Bai, with Major Sundarrajan, M. N. Nambiar, Nagesh and V. Nagaiah in supporting roles. It revolves around a scarred business magnate who abandons his similarly scarred son, unable to tolerate his face.
It was the first Tamil film to be submitted by India in contest for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
Synopsis :
A lawyer leads a happy life until his wife delivers twins and one of them has a scarred face just like him. Dejected, he deserts the child and lies to his wife that their baby was stillborn.
