Great Switching. Make summer fun, winter is too long.
Maybe switch 1 area from yard to location and back. Then move to another, that way after the 3rd op session you will have started al over again

I checked Flight Radar and at 17:30 a few Navy helicopters and planes are flying around, but no F's. I'll look again later.
A crew that died on the law will result in random trains sitting in random places. A dog catch crew will get a ride in the carry all and finish the work and take the train wherever it was supposed to go, and hopefully finish before they die on the law too! Some trains are cursed.
I operated on one layout that used a different schedule each day of the week, since not every train ran seven days a week on his railroad or the prototype for that matter.

Would you be willing to answer a question about your layout lighting? It looks like a very shallow lighting valence is used along the top of the backdrops? Do you use florescent, LED tape lights, or something else?

I'd be out there filming the F-22's and all the other Air Force aircraft flying in and out of there. Trains and planes, best of both worlds. ;)
Great ops session Rick! Which camera are you using when filming in 4K? I'm using a GoPro Hero 8 Black and if I have batteries in while using a USB cable for charging while filming, mine overheats; but if I take the batteries out and just use the USB cable for power, it doesn't overheat. Also thank you for your service as I didn't know you were in the USAF. - Jason
Hi Jason. I use a Sony ZV-1. It's a known 'issue' for it to overheat when filming in 4k. But it does that after about 25 mins so good amount of time to do a switching video. I can always just let it cool off for 5 mins and continue on also.
I've lived near air stations all my life. It feels strange if I don't hear jet noise!
