- In this episode I walk you through our complete roof top tinny set up.
The set up I have is the Quintrex 350 Explorer and a Yamaha 15hp Long shaft outboard.
Brisbane Yamaha helped so much when it came to working out this set up.
Working within weight limits was so difficulty for a roof top tinny set up and I didn't want a boat and outboard that wouldn't be able to match what i was wanting to do with it. This combination of the 2 has been perfect and hasn't disappointed.
I highly recommend if your looking into a new set up give Brisbane Yamaha a call - they know boats!

Hi Luke buy some railblazer rod holders they are super strong fully adjustable at any angle or position you can get them cheap at CH Smith marine in Kew for around $ 37 each Cheers Phil
I have the railblazer rod holders on my boat
Also you can fully remove them when not in use just press them down when you fit them and they lock in the base of the holder

Does he have a backwards tiler stire motor. I say this because on my boat we have the same engine and I sit on the right side of the engine.

Spending 24 hours on a tiny boat is something I would not do. There are boats that are good to travel on, and there are boats that a good to live on, and there are boats that are good to do both things that I said. What you have is a boat that is used to travel on.
The type of boat you have does not look like a fishing boat to me. Yes, I think you could go fishing on your boat, but you might not have the best experience you could possibly have while boating, and fishing at the same time.
I would recommend, for you to rethink spending 24 hours on a boat that is NOT prepared to be on water, for 24 hours. Knowledgeable boaters can see how your boat is not prepared, and ignorant people just will not know what I am talking about.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the boat he has for fishing. That’s size boat can actually be an advantage for fishing estuary’s, easy to get in small spaces and creeks. As from sleeping on the boat it might not have the most space but as long as he’s in an estuary and not out in the ocean you can sleep on it no problem. Just because he’s got a small tinny and not a million dollar yacht doesn’t mean you can’t sleep on it.

I agree about it being easy to get into small spaces.
If I had a boat like his then I would not sleep on it. Because his boat is not the kind of boat anyone who is in their right mind would sleep on voluntarily.

Check out Railblaza mounts. They do quick release mounts for rod holders, go pro mounts, bait boards and all sorts of other things. I have multiple mounts in my tinny and remove them in seconds!!
