Saints were in a rough spot when he came in, but this guy truly killed them off. Throwing away a 1 goal lead against a Wolves team who spent 60 minutes on 10 men is absolutely embarrassing. Beating City in the Carabao Cup doesn't matter if you go on to lose the big 6 pointer games in the league.
Too much too soon
Spot on. Saints fan of 25 years and have never seen such a gutless performance against such an easily beatable team. Jones should take some responsibility but ultimately our highly overrated players such as Ward-Prowse have dropped the ball massively and shown zero real mentality to justify their existence or justify their wages at our club. We deserve to be relegated in every sense - our players aren't good enough, our fans aren't good enough at home (massive credit to the away fans, they've been incredible) and more than anything the board hasn't been good enough.
I've never seen a club buy so much talent and waste it by consistently playing people like Moi, Armstrong, Adams, Bazunu and more than any player on our team the insanely undroppable Ward-Prowse who has been terrible for multiple years now because of his nailed on place.
The casuals have spoken, he keeps Southampton up, the style of play was fantastic and unlucky on multiple occasions. World class manager
@@jamborino2940 he coached amazing attacking displays, not his fault your players can’t score, your crowd can’t even decipher the xG he was creating, better than any Klopp performance this season easily
@@jamborino2940 Good to see a Saints fan acknowledge JWP's mediocrity. He'll inevitably get a PL move. But has done nothing to deserve it.
The man stopped Man City winning the Quadruple
Selles stopped arsenal winning the league 😂
Great interview. "I cant go into that now". Top stuff. P.s. "did mention i enjoyed my time there?!?"
Nathan "I enjoyed my time there" Jones everybody 👏👏👏
Enjoyed Losing
@@robertwalters9652 enjoyed playing amazing football, not his fault you can’t see the style of play with your puney little brain that only sees results
@@CodPatrol so you telling me Nathan jones got Southampton playing great football , you must suck Nathan’s balls , coming on here and bashing me for an opinion, I wasn’t even bashing jones , but his mentality is probably like yours a losers mentality …. FYI I guarantee your parents still make your dinner for you ………….. deeeeeekheaaaad
@CodPatrol results are literally all that actually matters, it's what he's there to get.
He came across so insecure in press conferences, he was not ready AT ALL for a Premier League job.
I was but ok
Thry said thst sbout him and the championship panda yet when he went back to Luton he set it on fire
Surprised PSG haven’t come knocking on his door. He’s one of Europe’s’ Elite
Nathan Jones sent Southampton down even though they had half a season without him to survive. Go work that out
Also mate your comments are just try to keep yourself in with "popular opinion".
@@matthewj6026 he’s being sarcastic lad
@@joshfewtrell7109 nah he's just copy and pasting comments like you would probably do
@@matthewj6026You must be fun at parties 🥳
Was the EPL different? ‘No it wasn’t different but it was different so the difference was there was no difference which is a big difference.’
Can you imagine this guy trying to motivate you?
I know lol
would lead me to the nearest tree
With that voice , I know 😂
"enjoy your time lads, i enjoy my time!"
This is a forensic afterwards studio chat emotionless
Jones was the one that pep learnt from that says it all jones is world class manager.
Luton Jones always giving us a good laugh
Southampton Jones was such sad
Jones is a perfect example of a manager who should've stayed with the club that they did well with only to ruin their reputation by doing awful at their next club
their
Hes done this twice now. He originally ditched luton for stoke and failed at stoke in the champ. Then he went back to luton and then went to southampton to fail there too
*awfully
My reputation is not ruined at all I have had plenty of offers, some in the premier league still
@@nathanjones9568 the only prem offer would be punditry no club would consider it after that spell
Take a shot every time he says "look". If Southampton's strikers had, maybe they wouldn't be in the mess they are now.
This guy killed Southamptons hopes off staying up.
All hope was lost when hussenhuttl left
Says the casual
I didn’t though did I
@@nathanjones9568 you did
Defo enjoyed his time there
This sounds exactly like every time I get interviewed on FM after leaving a job 😂
He enjoyed his time there anyway
This is the quickest I've been to the circus and back.
Why does he sound like a Welsh guy trying to be Spanish?
He is welsh
@@jw5545 I think the trying to be Spanish bit was the point mate
That's just a Rhondda valley accent, you're probably used to hearing other Welsh accents in media. People from the valleys tend not to get that much media exposure on the UK level
This bloke is on the verge of being sectioned
Keep it up premier league love. The content
Keeping things up? Maybe they could help Sean Dyche because you lot are going down
English
@@liamefc97 Literally sitting in 17th
he weren’t ready
"I always speak my mind, but I can't share anything of interest really". "I enjoyed my timed there". That's about it. I saved you having to watch 6 minutes of a pointless interview.
Managers need to be given more time, this season for sackings has been abysmal…
He was disastrously bad he should’ve been sacked earlier
@@nathanhawkins9149 Hassenhutl shouldn’t have been sacked
@@samking5101 Yh agreed no way should he have lost his job. I’ve no doubt at all Southampton would have stayed up with him
@K Would have kept them up I’m almost certain. Class manager
Mate he got 3 points from 8 prem games. Completely deserved it
He straight up relegated them
sounds like he enjoyed his time there
Should never have left Luton
Glad he did
@@ltfcrhys4718 you can’t be serious? After what he did for you club!
@@garethparry6673 they are better under Rob Edwards.
You can't allow sentimentality to get in the way of sense in football
@@garethparry6673 gone on to better things this season would have scraped play offs under jones
@@garethparry6673 Rob Edwards is the better manager
And people _seriously_ think Lampard's the worst manager in the League...
Tbh this guy had 8 games in charge if I'm not mistaken, out of Lampards last 20 games I'm certain he's only won 1 or 2. He's arguably worse than Nathan Jones
@@nethanlock5008 Lampard kept Everton up last season. Southampton did not improve under Jones one bit.
Feel bad aswell 😢
if only he had stayed and married a nice welsh girl, rip
He’s such a great manager even when he wasn’t at luton he was still responsible for their great progress
If I had a quid for every time Nathan Jones ditched Luton to go and drown badly at a team in red and white stripes then get sacked after less than a year, I’d have two quid, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.
I really hope he gets another prem job, it’s a great watch seeing him embarrass himself in interviews 🤣🤣
If I had £1 for every time he said "I really enjoyed my time there"
You'd have about a tenner.
he had a nice long holiday
5 wins in 14 in all comps at southampton. its a better record than lampard at chelsea...
He came into a tough job, it may not have worked out of for him but he took a gamble. A very good young manager and I think he will come good and being a very goof Championship manager is not a bad thing!
I believe he is fluent in Spanish so maybe a move to Spain?
He enjoyed his time there 😂
just biding his time until the psg job opens up
Southampton had been in the PL for 11 years but somehow this season had a squad with limited PL experience. Now that's a badly run club. They were like Brighton at one point. The model of a well run medium level club getting good recruitment and selling players brought in cheaply for massive fees. They are a shadow of that now.
He should be the new Southampton manager, he would do well to rebuild that club in the Championship
No kidding
U can’t seriously think that he didn’t know what he was doing lad 🤣
Nooooooooooo !!
"The Premier League is different"
2 seconds later
"So no it wasn't anything different"
How honest was he ? Ain’t watching this through !
I think Luton have really struggled without him
Sarcasm im assuming
They're number one in a playoff rankings lol
@@dustinmartin6524 you are correct
Jones is the kind of person who will delete and install Championship Manager multiple times once he get sacked in the game.
This feel more like Nathan Jones trying to convince other teams that "if he implements his way of playing then things would have worked out" than an honest opinion.
Kind of begging for another job to be HONEST.
Does anyone know if he enjoyed his time there?
Best manager BIG YES to Pompey fans and agent Gavin Baz for his brilliant contribution 😊😊😊😊😊😊 play up Pompey see you sooner than you think.
stuck in league one 🤣🤣
The only good thing this guy has done was stopping City from winning the quadruple
Sounds like he’s trying to get the Tottenham job
It'd be the most Spursy appointment ever
Guy has the ego of pep and the reality of Ryan Mason
Managers never reveal much details of past experience when sacked as they sign agreements when they get sacked as its part of the financial agreement when leaving.
Taking on a job like that is always gonna be rough, my question would have been why would Southampton go for an experienced manager at that level only to sack him shortly after?? How often has an inexperienced manager go to the prem and done really well?
Perfect manager for Spurs
Was out of his depth in premier league
I wonder why Southampton went for a championship manager
Because thry are a small championship club
Fair
Did he enjoy his time there? I've watched the clip but I can't be certain 🤔
Jones is the only manager who can make Argentina win the Euro Cup! Proper lad!
He got us into a worse situation. He is the season we’re it in the epl next season
Whenever I hear a British coach mention 'tactics' and 'tactical', I immediately know they don't even know what that means. Managers who know the ins and outs of tactical play offer insight instead of just throwing words around.
I enjoyed my time there
Respect the GOAT 🐐🙌
Enjoy relegation
@@CodPatrol I'm not a Saints fan but thanks all the same.
@@Keeleysound he’s a world class manager, had plenty of good results players just couldn’t score enough for him
@@CodPatrol Exactly. I'm thinking Real Madrid will surely come calling for him in the Summer, although he'll have plenty of other options.
Incredibly honest XD Europe's best manager there
More Honesty than Gerrard and Lampard
Be an absolute robbery and show how just corrupt football is if this man doesn't win coach of the year imo.
I wonder if he enjoyed his time at Southampton
Fact: Relegated Southampton scored 25% of their 24 points against Chelsea.
If only they could play Chelsea every week!!!
Remember Forest fans saying after his loss there he was punching himself in the face
I think he enjoyed his time there but I ain’t so sure
Perhaps he needs to come out and clear it up with us a bit.
He’s a builder, which is a good fallback because he won’t have a job as a football manager
😂😂😂
The GOAT 🐐
3:10 bruh there are players like walcott , warde prowse, salisu, walker peter, bednarek, alex mcarthy, armstrong the scottish player. What do u mean southampton doesnt have much players that has no prem experience.
The man that caused it all 😅
Meh. He was the final nail in the coffin, but Southampton's relegation has been on the cards for years now.
He has been on the same media training as Tory MPs
His gaze, his eye movements and his facial mannerisms in general have a wee bit of Roy Keane.
Roy Green, you mean, it seems..
Says he speaks his mind, but won’t speak his mind on his most controversial moments. Goodluck with your future employment
sky sports do you not work weekends Newcastle game finished ages ago and still nothing !!!!!!
They will upload it with the other games later today
Nathan Jones Is an absolute muppet the audacity to call himself the best manager 😂 failed at stoke failed at Southampton the only club he done good at was luton
Nathan Jones Barmy Army
"Look, I really enjoyed my time there".
End of interview.
Why does it sound like he trying to put on a Irish accent.
mon back to the diff lad
Pointless interview this, wasn’t good enough saints recruitment has been shocking and the owners should be ashamed good luck in the championship hope you lot get back soon- J the chelsea fan 👊🏻👏
Hes a European manager infact he's the best jn Europe his words !
Nathan learning curve Jones
In terms of stuff 🤣
How did Soccer Saturday get the best manager in Europe?!
Is not that he ain't ready for the Premier League, he's not even good enough for the Premier League at all. One of the many reasons why Southampton got relegated but he's the best in Europe.
absolute shambles of a manager
Saints made big mistake by not getting new manager summer times
Nathan don't worry about Southampton, their fans are getting what they deserve for how they treated you...Championship football.
Bruh what
More like the damage he did to our club you mean.....
Are u joking. He slagged us fans off before we did him. We gave him many chances . I believe some clubs would of made his life hell with some of the comments he made.
What's the point of coming on when you're not ready to give the full story and avoiding questions? Just trying to put yourself in the shop window 🤷♂️
Southampton were doomed soon as they appointed this guy never a premier manager
If they got someone better who knows they may of survived
Better like Hassencheeks?
What a job he done 🤣
He doesn't seem very personable and in the modern game when you're coaching millionaires, I imagine man management is everything. I'm not suprised the players disengaged with him.
Interview Black managers
Not ludicrous managers who think Southampton are a stepping stone in ones career
This guy's voice gave me PTSD.
Do you think he enjoyed his time there?
Forgot he managed Southampton tbh
He doesn't like chop and change but left Luton.....😊
All football clubs are results based
Top bloke but shouldn't have taken the Southampton job, especially after what happened at Stoke. Will get another championship job no problem
