it got a lot of airplay on Radio Luxembourg when it came out, but it wasn't even a minor hit in the UK, for some strange reason. The 12" Mix is great too, and there is a re-recorded Dec14 Remix from 10 years ago, or so. December 14 is the name of their 2014 album
@@Aloha808 I guess we have to blame the producers on radio 1, who get locked into a certain type of music and won't listen to anything different. 1986 was a transitional year for music, with Stock Aitken and Waterman just about to kick off.
@@v00n2000 There was a Radio Luxembourg jingle that was based on 'Images Of Fire'. I'm not sure if it was recorded by the band but it was very cool and I loved the song from the first time I heard it on the radio. I will have to check out their 2006 album 'Lovebrigade'. Images Of Fire (Dec14 Mix) is available on Soundcloud and Spotify at this time.
@@v00n2000 it must have been removed from Spotify, but it is on Soundcloud for sure. I listened to it the other day. The remix is okay but not nearly as good as the original. For some reason all the tracks from the 'December 14' album are impossible to find at this time. Why are you amazed I listened to Radio Luxembourg in 86? As a matter of fact I listened to them from 75/76 to 87 (when I moved to Canada) :-)
How is it that this was not a number 1 all over the world?
Seriously the most refreshing new record I have heard for many years, and I am 69.

Perfect moody keyboards.
How did I miss this at the time??? It's so damn good!
This is a brilliant tune and arrangement. She has a really strong voice too, reminiscent of Pat Benatar.
Tremendo temazo
it's sad, that this beautiful song only reached # 169 in Gallup Expanded UK Singles Chart, back in September 1986,
very nice chorus 👍😊
And slightly baffling. It's seriously good.
