I have 2 bearded dragons myself and I had a dragon who was sick all her life and giving her meds was a regular occurrence for me (she had to be put down unfortunately she was just so sick)
If the antibiotics are liquid, take the syringe and place it on the side of his mouth and go under the lip. Move it towards the front and he will open his mouth up. Gradually put the antibiotics in his mouth and do it slowly because he can choke on it. My suggestion is if the antibiotics don’t work and he still has a lump to get a second opinion and do not leave the vet until they have taken samples of the lump. Hopefully he is okay! ❤

I am a vet tech. I work with cats dogs and exotics. They should have done a fine needle aspiration to see what it is. They can send off slides of samples for cell testing. It’s on his head. How is an emergency appointment taken on a different day.
I'm a vet tech - they should be able to do a fine needle aspiration. Then take the cells and look under a microscope to see if they have a cancerous look or change to them.
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Saturday night with the kids and hope everything goes well for Mango and praying for him and hope the veterinarian can help solve Mango's issue.
please get a second opinion, that vet seems off too. he needs this aspirated and drained it looks full. they can test what cells are inside

@@nancyfarkas3592 I have worked at several vets, we always offer any kind of testing while they are a drop off. He was there all day and Jess didnt receive a phone call from the doctor, thats whats off!

The fact that it’s new and squishy it’s most likely an abscess that needs drained. A second opinion is probably best!
When I was younger, I had a Blue Tougne Lizard and with him, He also had a lump that was just an age lump! Just keep an eye on it and if it get bigger then its a true issue - Sometimes, the Vets dont want to give false hope / make the situation more stressful for the owners and or animal
When I was young I had a bearded dragon and when she was older she got a few of those lumps. The vet called them “age lumps”. She wasn’t in pain from what we could tell and lived years with them.

with jeans for years as i was growin up i would wear justice jeans. i am super senstive to some textrues and they were always super comfy for me. i gave up my last pair about a year ago becasue they didnt fit and i just got new jeans american eagle and fell in love wiht them. old navy also has very nice jeans

My beardie just got put on meds too. The vet showed me you can take a paper clip to help open there mouth, hold it open then give the meds!
You take such good care of all your animals. We’ve never had reptiles so I have zero advice. I did research life expectancies on bearded dragons and it’s 7-10 years. Not sure how old Mango is. Hopefully he bounces back and he is with your family for a long time.

If you have an Alexa ask her to play rain sounds! I work at a daycare and that’s what we use for the toddlers and it keeps them asleep! It basically sounds the exact same as the white/brown noise! You can also tell Alexa to loop it and it will just continuously loop until you shut it off!

this is so cute the vet bills are so expensive my 13 year old dog who I adopted two years ago has a lump on her nipple & I haven’t been able to afford taking her to vet due to last vet bills I’m still in debt so this makes my heart happy for him
I shop at old navy for jeans and there not to expensive but there also not cheap but they fit well and I’m usually between a medium and a large sometimes a xL for some clothes

You should definitely get another opinion on Mango, the vet you went to doesn't seem to know what they are doing and the way it happened didn't seem right.
My bearded dragon needed anti biotics a few times in his life, it was pretty easy to syringe feed him, I found UA-cam really helpful for how to videos and our vet showed us.
I would definitely keep an eye on the lumps, mine had one on his side and we were told they were harmless, they never bothered him or caused him pain. Just deffo worth keeping the eye on!
Mango could just be getting old too, as mine got older he was more lethargic and didn’t want to go out, run or eat as much. Unfortunately I ended up getting him put to sleep because he seemed to get to a point where he couldn’t move without seeming in pain.

Hii I have a question about the club you out ur kids in for soccer? I’m wanting to join club that’s competitive but the problem is I can’t go out of state for tournaments. My question is that do you guys have out of state tournaments a lot or even at all? And if so are they mandatory? Cuz every web I checked isn’t giving me the exact answer. I had a guinea pig (not even close, I know lol) with a big lump under his armpit that ended up being a fatty tumor that needed no treatment. He lived another 5 years! (I had a good vet that told me exactly what it was though.... I agree with getting another option for sure). Feel better mango!!!

I'm not sure how you go about being seen, or if you can only be referred, but many vet schools are teaching "hospitals". A friend of mine went through vet school and countless times were her animals treated at her school, including reptiles.

I have had good care at Blue Oaks Veterinary Clinic its in Roseville/Rocklin but worth the drive if you want a 2nd opinion
The only thing I cam suggest for Mango, is reach out to popular reptile vloggers. They may have ideas in who you could contact. You need a vet that specialises in reptiles.
It’s insane to me how little sleep Addie needs! I need like 9h of sleep per night and I’m out of school for 10 years 😂 now it’s very unrealistic but when I was in school I went to bed early on my own 🥲

Jess I have to agree with the American eagle jeans after having my daughter in may last year I released most of my jeans are so old and had holes so I bought a new pair from American eagle and I was so upset bc I got a hole in them after a couple months just got two new pair and my bf asked why I didn’t get another brand and all I could say was I have only like how American eagle fit on me even tho they are like $50 I have only been able to stick to American eagle nothing else fits right

Ok I’m absolutely no vet or doctor but literally a few days ago I was watching NatGeo Wild, Dr Pol show, he’s a vet for 30+ years and he actually had a bearded dragon come in with an exact same issue and they prescribed him antibiotics as well. They didn’t recommend opening him up.

Tip for giving medicine to mango if you end up having a hard time is tuck his hands and swaddle him with the towel I had to do this for a beardie I was baby sitting ☺️

I had an iguana a while back and he started to get a lump on his jaw and we took him into the vet. Sadly it was a calcium deficiency and its from when he was a baby the breeders or pet store people would boost the babies with all these vitamins and nutrients to get them to grow faster so they could sell them quicker, and the vet said that later in their lives they would get these build ups and there is nothing you can do about it we ended up having to put him to sleep sadly. the lump keeps growing and they stop eating after a while and just get sick. Im not saying that is what mango has, but it looks similar and alot of reptiles get it after they get older, my iguana was about 2 years old when his started to grow. I hope this is not the case bc it was so so sad watching my Mosnar ge† sick. Hope you get answers soon, and that this is not what happened to my iguana.
