The reason you have such an amazing family is because of YOU! You boost everyone all the time! You are always telling your wife how beautiful she is, Robbie is the main man and you always ask him ‘what do you think Robbie?’ You tell your mom she is amazing. And each of your children you take time with them and tell them they are so clever etc. You even tell your students how much they are helping you. You are the cement that keeps the bricks together. You are an amazing man. The reason I know is because I’m 73 and my husband is just like you. Always boosting everyone’s spirits. I can’t wait each week for your video. Keep them coming.
Well done David, keeping me sane while I’m away from me sheep on family holiday in Cyprus, too many people and not enough sheep for my liking 😉 all the best as always 👍🏻
I'd love to see a bit more about that trailer. Smaller stock trailers like those are uncommon in the US, and double-deckers are practically unheard of. It looks like a really efficient way to move a bunch of stock at once (even if that door/ramp for the second floor is uncooperative sometimes).
I have same decks as u have Heavy lifting but if you don't bother to put the latches in the slides and push the sheep on forward off the ramp a bit and the flap behind them it seems to be easier.same for unloading First time to try wonb perfect Love your vids Dan
Question on the drench with copper - is that good/okay for texel crosses? I thought I heard on one of the sheep utubers that texels didn’t handle copper well. My nephew also pointed out all the vehicles, fire trucks etc. He grew up to be a crane mechanic and travels all over fixing them on job sites.
Re sponsorship. I'll use a product you use Davy because I know its not a freebie. With some of the other channels, I ignore the products because I know they only using them as they freebies/heavily discounted. Some sheep channels are nothing but advertising now
I prefer to wether any ram lambs that aren't exceptional after the first few weeks. I feel like those exceptional lambs are usually the ones that stay exceptional and end up making ram prospects. Banded early on I feel that the servers gain just as well and are sure a lot easier managed.
Me too. When the complete ram lambs grow on, some further selection involves a session with the burdizzo which leaves them crossing their legs for a bit, but then they get enough finish to be marketable at heavier weights.
Is that a old ivor Williams trailer have one here and the deck does the same can fall apart when you go to let the ramp down as seen on your video. The newer ivor Williams trailers have a lot better made decks.
It’s hard to get any finish on ram lambs once they reach sexual maturity. Like teenagers they shoot up and make frame but the muscle doesn’t catch up. Breeds that finish early, finish well complete. Are the mucky bums a symptom of cobalt deficiency? I seem to recall it can be, not sure. It could help to mark one of the sexes when drafting to make sure the shedding goes right.
I've found the ram lambs harder to finish if not separated from ewe lambs. Spoke to my vet & he's convinced worm burdens are higher when the minerals are an issue!
I don't mind sponsorships as long as they don't give the youtuber a script to read and that you are able to say what you want about the product be it good or bad
I dont like the channels that keep endorsing products time after time , It is just a bit sly in a way even when it is announced that the product is being sponsored . However I would have no problem with Opel sponsoring Robbie with the Van !
Would a spot of coloured spray on the back of their head help to keep track of the ram lambs? Lovely to see you and the young fella out working. Have you thought about a 60-70hp tractor and a homemade trailer? One run would do. (There's a used orange one with a loader on donedeal, not far from you. Reasonable money, not too fancy but a good workhorse. The dealer might work out payments as it will be 'advertising' for them! 😉 It should be a long term investment and a big help with hay, too.) It could increase viewer numbers too. Take your time with the utility project & do a good job 😁. Ádh mór!

I only copped it on the final edit 🤣
@@sheepschool365 brilliant video’s David I look forward to them, keep up the good work
Enjoying the Saturday episodes.
Just wondering when the jeep is getting a deep clean. I believe the Boss said the smell in the jeep was "horrific"!
Daivd that last lamb that was stuck in the race was ram lamb. It went out with the ewe lambs.
Thankfully found him at the end 👌
@@sheepschool365should’ve wayched till the end lad.

It's a really old trailer (1993) but working well apart from the ramp. I really need a bigger trailer for moving livestock!
They probably ringed your best genetics, that's why the whether's are so well fleshed😂😂
I'm afraid to look up their breeding 🫣😅
Greet video.
Cheers Alan 👌
Great video

He's working with cobalt not copper
Copper would kill texels and mayo bread sheep
Yes I believe some breeds are more prone to copper poisoning.
Noah is having a ball
Robbie is some cleaner
Love your channel ❤
Thank you so much!!
Good see kid with ya that what all.about

Cheers Ed, much easier to be honest about a product that way

It's an area I'm still learning a lot about. Picking ram lambs to keep for breeding is hard to get right as I find they change so much in a year.
Simple to miss a ram lamb with the ewe lambs. Just did same

Yes Ivan, it's a very old (1993) dp120 ifor williams. Newer easy load decks would be better for the back!

Robby thinking nothing hand around here
That last lamb was a ram lamb u let out with the ewes!
Thankfully found him later on..
How long is Robbie gone from the ESB
10 years .Hard work on the esb .
Retired 2 years now in December.
The lamb that was stuck was a ram lamb. Think it went the wrong way👍
Got him in the end 👌
Main man himself
I don't mind sponsorships as long as they don't give the youtuber a script to read and that you are able to say what you want about the product be it good or bad
I think that's the problem. It's very hard to be 100% honest if you're after getting something for free.

I don't think a new Combo would handle the industrial cleaning 🤣
If you will use # hash tags before your Thumbnails and descriptions then when people do a search then your site will show up for them to see.

Often thought of a decent tractor trailer as always seem to be moving sheep this time of year.. a tractor would be great help to the operation!
Lucky retired have him helping ya out
Defo a tired slip up ay the end...the Last lamb stuck was a ram and he walked out with the ewe lambs. I do simular simple mix ups keep up the videos
Very different outcome next Spring if I didn't spot him 🫣
