David Van Voris Great Video I think it's awesome that you're going to make your 2 wheel drive F-150 XL work as good as a 4 wheel drive and I can't wait to see it
What tuning options are out for 2023 if you go turbo? The Whipple comes with there Tomahawk V1 tuner which does not need a PCM unlock because they work so closely with Ford.
I like how his comments say yes. Nobody is a mechanic betrayed and what works best for 1 person helps other people advice, versa. Nobody has the tools or the ability, sometimes it still takes money. Even if you're an amateur mechanic, thank you for your information, I might subscribe.
Currently thinking of moving from a WRX to a RCSB f150 and have been looking at 2wd specifically because im probably never going to run boost. I care much more about cornering and have very little interest in drag racing of any kind. So my goal will be to improve the suspension as much as possible to make a GT or road course type vehicle. Doing some NA power, but nothing wild there either. Going 2wd saves money up front and improves weight distribution a little. We dont get much snow here, but a locker and good tires should get me around as well as my GTI on all seasons did when we do get snow or ice.
I like this video how the person talks about what works for you. Not everything works for the same person, but works for 1 person doesn't always work for another person. Some people may be professional drivers. Some people may be avid drivers like driving on weekends. Or some people have a second car. Some people only have one car. Starting a project like this does get expensive. So not everybody has that money. So it's nice to have a pick up truck. Short bed 2 seats instead of having a like a sports car because after all that money and tuning, you're basically have a sleeper sports car. I do like trucks I live in California and at least while ile. You don't have that many trucks, but we do have trucks and rain. Is not that bad weather is pretty decent. I live in South California. So I am looking looking at these videos seeing how people modify their trucks. See what will work for me. I'm not looking to go 10000 horsepower. Something not that crazy and something. I could still work on a little bit myself. But also pay someone, but so far, this video is giving me some good information. Thank you, sorry for any about spelling.
Say you're the average guy that wants to drive around in a low to mid 12 second regular cab and you don't have the excess budget for forced induction. Something to have fun with, cruise with the kid(s) (bench seat!). What's your thoughts on RWD? Is traction really hard on the street with an e85 tune and 3.73s? I've never had a problem with street traction on a low 12 second RWD car, but no performance truck experience. I'm leaning 2wd because they're cheaper and faster stock. I've driven rwd vehicles in the winter as long as I can remember and with blizzaks and weight you can go anywhere a 4wd truck on all seasons can go.
You should be okay but you won’t be able to do without a good tire that’s not really daily driveable. Well it is but wears faster. 4wd you could be on normal tires
If you want a street/strip 20" skinny tire, check out the Bridgestone Potenza S001... - 195/50r20 - 5"-7" wheel width range - 27.7" tall, 6.4" tread width - 1433lbs load rating; 2866lbs between 2 - W(168MPH) speed rating OEM front tire on the BMW i8, they seem to go for between $370 and $400 or so(not the cheapest in the world...) - I think they're pretty much the only real option for a street/strip 20" skinny, at least if you care about having something vaguely rated for the job lol. The load rating should be plenty for any RCSB 1/2 ton(any brand), 5200lbs with 55/45 weight distribution would put you at 2860lbs on the nose, and these aluma-150s are much lighter than that of course(I think the GC TrackHawk would be just over it... but, ya know, "safety factor" and all, should be fine... lol). Speed rating should be plenty for most(and re: "safety factor"... this is not legal advice...). Also... what about a giant single turbo? I'm always a sucker for a cyclops setup lol
That size in the S001 would be pretty hard to find. The S001 also comes in 215/45R20 and is much more readily available. It’s about .6 lbs heavier, 10% wider (7.7” vs 8.5”) Tire rack has them for $306 right now.
Sorry Dave but definitely twins! Idk how you’re going to get that thing to hook on the street but if you went Whipple how would you manage power? 2wd on the street, I’m skeptical.
Well here’s the thing if you drive a lot of highway or like roll racing I say go 2wd like I’m gonna do, your a little lighter too but if you like racing from a dig or stoplights and your lined up with a lambo then yeah 4wd👍🏻👍🏻
As someone who has a RWD & has fought traction since day one I can say this is the most excited I’ve ever been for a series of videos😂
Haha more coming soon

Go Twins. I’m going to do mine over the winter.
. ‘21 4WD RCSB. Keeping it streetable with 1000whp.
Awesome content buddy 👍💪
How bad is the weight bias on the 2wd trucks ?

It’s all unlocked by Hp tuners now

What's the weight difference from rcsb 2x4 vs 4x4 '23 F150?
like 150 pounds
On the caltracs. Did you clamp the overload spring to the leaf spring? Thanks
These are VAS traction bars. Kelltrac shocks
@@DavidVanVoris OK thanks!
Small twins and 2wd. I like my 4wd 10th ten f150, but I never use it.
Yes...indeed 🔥🔥🔥🇺🇸👍🏿

Oh man these run REALLY good with just bolt ons and E85
It's crazy how quick these can get!
What about the Roush supercharger kit?
I would not recommend them

Sounds like ya better go twins for what ya want to do with the truck.
Did you say you can’t get a crank saver stud?
no the actual crank support
Guess you could try my 24s on
whipple for the win!! show cleetus what a whipple truck can do!
WHIP it bro!!
Can you swap the 8 inch screen for 12 inch screen from f150 crew cabs
Yes
I like two wheel
TTs baby!!!!
2wheel spinner or 4wheel winner I say😝 both are fun right🤷🏼♂️
Whipple w/ Fogger Plate FTW
if you do a Whipple, I'll get Kevin to say What-A-Burger is the best 🤣
sidenote...the miami flavored bucked up is BOMB
Kevin clearly has no taste if he prefers in and out over whataburger
KEEP IT DRIVABLE.Its more Fun.
TT 1000whp street truck
Hwipple it Bobby!
Whipple no lag but less horsepower 2wd les weight for track but 4wd on street launch better
Whipple all the way. Turbos may have a shorter lifespan than a weapon with parts 89. How do I know that's my suggestion? Weapon, supercharger?
I like better old school 2wd with a good drag suspension hot rod! Rules 💪🏼2wd all the way
I like Rousch

Whipple, Whipple Whipple. I think much better drivability on the street than twin turbos.
Why don’t you just install that 1500hp for 15k kit

Lol I don’t have a no prep car

Wish someone would swap a legit boosted Coyote into a lighter weight 4wd Ranger or Bronco II to see what's possible.

No prep I'm going with the 4x4 at the strip 2wd less weigh
Whipple 3.0
Procharger
If you dont need 4x4.. then just get a 2wd. I just bought a 2023 2wd
appears to drive w/ no seat belt. possibly damaged opinion
Oh wow
If youre a real drag racer you like 2wd
Whipple that thing!
