i always liked the episode in which she teams up with teela,which where we see the short white hair,it gave us some nice backstory on the character. i also wonder after seeing the cordite,will we ever see figures of the widgets,the little characters that live in the woods that mine those crystals.

But what bothers me so much is the poor QC issues for the high prices they charge.Mattel was one of the best in making high quality detailed figures in the past but not anymore especially with this MOTU line which has a special place in our hearts and brings back the kid in us.They got sloppy,lazy and careless.And it is a shame since this MOTU line is so beloved by a lot of fans like me who wants to see great quality items. I have been to many conventions for years and the first time I sar the figures I was so disappointed by the paint job and that was the reason I never collect them.Shame on you Mattel.

The difference in skin color between the head and the rest of the figure reminds me of the rerelease of the original He-man in the mid 80ies with the yellow head with the painted face.
Retail figures lately have had a lot of QC issues, and it's almost forgivable at $8-$12. But for a premium price, there is no excuse for poor QC. And it's not just Mattell, Hasbro is very guilty as well. Hopefully Super7 will do better with the new figures they're releasing.

I miss Toy Guru...because when he was at Mattel..that would not happen. Maybe he can get a job at Super 7 and be reunited with the brand! Fingers Crossed!!!!! Great Video as always!

My EL's head fin was warped too. I just heated it and it straightened out. I didn't even have to hold it in place, it just straightened out on its own.
That's cool. Mine is slightly warped, but not real bad. The paint is the thing that really bugs me. I think she's easily the sloppiest figure in the entire line.

I bought 2 evil lyn...and just to give you an idea, the best one that i have is absolutely terrible compared to yours Dan...the paint job on mine is seriously horrible! Im so mad right now, its a total lack of respect to the people who gave them money for years! Now that the line is done with mattel, they dont give a shit...i swear ill never buy a mattel product ever again, i have no respect for company like that, they dont care about their customers, they only care about money Im telling you, the paint job on mine i so bad, it looks like a 7 years old painted her face....and i swear to god im not exagerating at all!! Yours is beautiful compared to mine...its totally unacceptable 😡
This is an alright figure. I like the 2000x version the most, now there should be no reason why we can't get some kryptonite crystals in the future with some of our Mattel super men action figures since that crystal has been created and can be repainted and reused for those.
Mattel should be ashamed for putting out such a bad quality figure. No wonder they're getting thrashed by competitors. A great sculpt ruined by crap QC and an "I don't care" attitude by the owners of MOTU.
It really does feel like they just don't care now that they are done with the line. They are just going through the motions trying to hurry up and finish. :-/

She's definitely my favorite character in the whole MOTU-world and I think the same, the sculpting really is nice but for this price (and actually, after she is sold out, the price is gone up, mostly above 100€ in my country), the painting is HORRIBLE. I will look if I can find one under 50€ and repaint her (I am sure I'll do better than THIS, and I rather have her in a bit "darker style" anyway...), otherwise I'll have to live without....
I went to art school. We used to get offers to paint figurines and toys etc all the time - the manufacturer would send a huge box of stuff and you'd get some ridiculously small dollar amount per completed unit. I assume that's a fairly standard practice. A figure like this shouldn't have passed QC, let alone for the INSANE retail prices they expect people to pay. Then again the Filmation show itself was a crappy, terribly drawn, horribly acted, phoned-in disaster.

The QC has gotten worse and worse on these. It definitely feels like they are over MOTU. :-/

if you HAD TO buy just 1,which would it be..Classics EL or Filmation EL?
mine had some paint issues too but overall the sculpt is good, I trimmed the cape a bit too
The cape does seem a tad big, doesn't it? Trimming it is a good idea.

I think the skin on both heads are very similar to the way the original Evil-Lyn’s skin was while her body is just like how 200x Evil-Lyn was.

Filmation sculpture is better.
We are 4 years later now and S7 hasn't learned a thing about painting or descent figures for that matter. Their figures still suck.
