This song meant so much growing up as a lost kid in London. I adored this album, as much as the first which is still my favourite album of all time which I bought on valentine's day. I was nervous of the future, anxious about performing well, achievements. This year this song gains even more meaning as I ran the Brighton marathon, and I listen to this material hopefully a little less lost and able to manage anxiety and life a bit better.
the lyrics of this song are so good like the character is bored of his normal life and wishes for moments instead of hours or days. he regrets that he wasn't more free in his youth and that he's trapped now despite crossword and sudoku. so his plan is to drive to brighton for the weekend. but the song doesnt stop. it just fades out. youre in brighton for the weekend, which is not a moment, but days and maybe this contrasts the chorus. this is the first time ive really read into the lyrics. #420blazeit man
