Excellent concept, not so excellent execution. I am guessing you didn't show cutting of any bushes because the travel of the blades isn't long enough to cut? It doesn't look like they open and close enough to cut anything maybe just vibrate the branches off?
I've used an electric B & D trimmer for years. Well, I haven't used the corded one since!This is so light weight and so much easier. It has all the power I need because I start wearing down after about 20 minutes and I haven't run out of battery yet. It takes about two hours to charge. I've used it about twice a week for a month and still have line left too. My favorite feature is the blade inside the shield that keeps the line trim to where I don't even have to think about it. You can see from my pic that it's been heavily used and I probably should clean it more often. Very happy with it.
creative..but are you sure it is really working?? It looks too fast to capture plant branch and cut it.... and the plate doesnt seem to have sharp edge. You need to show a little demo of this.
I find your invention interesting. I followed your instructions carefully. However I am unable to understand the mechanism where the angle grinder is connected to the blades that cuts. Can you be kind to share the measurements. What causes the forward and backward movement. Are these the two washer? I have done everything except the connection between the grinder and cutting blades.
The main mechanism for reciprocating of blade is the cam fitted in the angle grinder. Since the cam is elliptical or something like that hence it push and pull the cutting blade having a hole whithin it to accomodate the cam creating a linear to and fro movement when grinder rotates. Wouldn't it be easier and greener to simply take a busted one out of a dumpster and fix it up.. Its usually onlt the diaphragm or pump bulb or fuel lines that literally cost the price of a sandwich And easy step guides on here how to stip and fit..! Use the Internet for something that benefits you and others... They get the views you get to fix something so it's like new.. And some small parts part manufacturer gets a little something.. Win win win
