If you enjoyed this video, please give it a THUMBS UP as it really helps my channel 😀 Which of the items was your favorite in this video? Did I miss any good deals that you've seen this month? - Comment Below! 👇🏼
😂 The way that you looked into & turned the fruity cookie bag after tasting!! As if you were looking for something that may have been in there to make it taste so bad! 👏 😂 U're too funny Matt! ❤❤❤🎉
Which Costco did you get the fanttik car vacuum cleaner? Washington state does not have it yet.
I got a chicken from WalMart and they went to those bags...While loading the food, somehow the bag came open. Now my vehicle smells like chicken/broth...
with that et bed or 1 Lily with how she stretches in bed lol
Love the videos, so I know what to look for when I go there 😊
“It’s not my thing but I support you.” Another statement that makes me know how good a person you are.😊
Your “I love you, bye bye” has literally kept me going some days. 🥰
I don’t have a Costco membership, but watch The Deal Guy anyway because he makes me happy. 😊
They are only 60 going up to 65 in sep not bad you will save money just buying tp paper towels laundry detergent
Some items are available online that nonmembers can buy for a 5 percent nonmember fee. I just bought a Cosco hand truck featured on the Deal Guy earlier this month. The nonmember fee was $8. Still, the item was about $100 cheaper than at Walmart or Target and also less than at Amazon.
Me too🫶🇺🇸🫶
Meee three
Nonmembers can shop at Costco with a Costco gift card. They’re called cash cards I believe 😊
With the Hollywood mirror…. Now you can “Make phone calls while you ‘adjust’ your face…”. You’re hilarious. 😆
I love watching your videos even if I don’t plan on buying anything.
Same. Especially when he does the silly puns/comments. 🥰
same 🎉he’s a dopamine dose
Same here, I didn't know many of these items existed and certainly don't need them but he's a great ptesenter
Exactly this
Great video and info, as always, with much appreciated humor along the way! In case anyone's wondering what you meant by the lowercase and uppercase Pyrex remark: pyrex: Lowercase indication of containers that should not be heated in the oven or microwave. These are most likely made of soda-lime glass. PYREX: Uppercase label on cookware that is made of borosilicate glass and can be heated in a microwave or oven.
Thanks! I couldn't recall the difference, you saved me from wasting time wondering. 👍
Something I did not know was a thing. Thank you.
@@olyb3693 Me either, until recently! And you're welcome!
I didn't know that! Thanks.
had no idea! I thought “pyrex” was pyrex- no clue there was a lowercase vs uppercase😮
Nothing really jumping out at me this time, but always fun to see the new stuff at Costco. Thanks for the video.
There is something in his personality that makes all of us like him :)
Love your videos! Hate…the rotisserie chicken bag….hate it…
We've bought sooooo many of those Pyrex sets! They make great gifts for weddings, graduates, etc; plus we use them daily in our own home & absolutely love them.
Highly recommend by family & friends as best gift ever & best bowl sets to own, especially with matching lids that don't leak!!
For those who miss the hard plastic container for the rotisserie chicken because they used it to cut the chicken, there are UA-cam videos where people would place the chicken in zip lock bags and “roll” the chicken back and forth to release the chicken from the bones easier than cutting. I tried it and it worked! (I left it in the new bag)😊
That Pyrex bowl set -- very useful for all kind of things, from making salads, to cole slaw, to marinating meat. Grab one.
Yes! It's a great price too!
They're pretty, but so heavy!
Can they be used for hot things like bouillon or soups?
@@karenok464 True but that is why we store them on a bottom tier pull out shelf. Just today I used one of the smaller ones to make sauce for chicken lo mein because I could pour hot water in to make stock without worrying if it would shatter.
@@anne8663 They are not rated for broilers or range tops, but I have absolutely poured very hot liquids in without incident. Would I pour a rolling boil in? Probably not just to not risk splashing.
The problem with the Costco chicken a bag instead of the clam shell is that you have to remove it from the bag, put it on a platter to cut it up then find another container to store the leftovers. Before, I would cut, serve and store efficiently in the clamshell. The bag is not good. Also, it has ventilation holes so if you think you can store in it, wait til it tips in the fridge and you have grease and juice dripping everywhere.
Agree 100 %
It's a big mess.
the way you store food makes me never want to eat at your house
@HeyYoFabels
Like why? How do you store a rotisserie chicken?
A big improvement!
I hate the new packaging for the Costco Chicken, I would pay extra to get the old container. The old containers made it easy to both carve up the chicken as well as store the chicken since it usually takes us a few days to consume it.
The bags leak! I got grease all over my reusable bag
Yes they leak... unknowingly, when I placed it in my car, it got drippings all over my fabric car upholstery.
I spoke to a Costco Employee yesterday, telling them about how many people HATE the bags and why... she said the employees feel the same way. She suggested that we use their suggestion boxes out side the Entrance to voice our opinions... she said Costco takes that input very seriously. I'm going to do it!
I love the “scientific pat test”😂
I will be doing a true pat test (slam fest), on that on to see if it holds up! I’ll keep you all posted once I’m banned from Costco 😂😂😂
I prefer the other packaging for chicken as its not as messy.
Plastic is gross. The chicken is hot and placed in plastic of any kind is bad‼️
I'm not a fan of the rotisserie bag. I see why in order to keep the price the same. I have to double bag so it doesn't leak.
Its because the chicken bag has small ventilation holes on the sides.
I like the idea of less plastic, but yeah it leaks way too much.
Every time I’ve gotten the rotisserie chicken from the Costco in my area (3times) they were raw in the middle🤮I’ll never buy them again and I live 40 miles away so by the time I go back in the next month it’s not really doing me much good to complain😤
@@lynnnash1175 SAME HERE WERE RAW. BOUGHT 4 VERY UPSET.
Sir, that one-handed toss and grab is a thing of beauty! 😊
I say that every time he does it 😂
My wife and I just bought those red Adirondack chairs about three weeks ago at Costco up in London Ontario Canada. It took about an hour to put each together, and they’re awesome and very comfortable
They are very solid. I bought 4 of them thinking I had a spot in mind. They are so heavy to move (for me) that they are staying in the first place I managed to get them. Enjoy!!
Matt, to answer the question of what is my thought on the bags that Costco is using for the rotisserie chicken, I do not like it. Often I see the chickens being destroyed to place them in the bags. A lot of people have questioned what happens to the plastic with hot chicken sitting inside, and sitting on/in the heater, and the commute home. All valid questions, and I haven't heard any actual results which makes me question Costco's choice in switching, if it was actually worth it or not. And as if that wasn't enough reason to not buy into the plastic bags, never before have I seen chickens sit on the warmer for so long before switching to these bags. Costco has made a mistake with this switch.
Sam’s rotisserie chicken is cheaper
AGREE!!! 😡
I will be going to Sam's from now on to get my Chicken 🐔
Costco’s sales data from their recent call says your anecdotal evidence is completely false. Oh and the previous container was plastic too so…..
We got that "pet" bed last year and I tell ya, the amount of times I have woken up in it after a fantastic night out is high, this bed is the absolute most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and I have a $3000 king bed upstairs lol
My 2 dogs love it and so do I lol
Thank you for your videos! I definitely enjoy hearing about products on sale and new items!
Hate the bags for the rotisserie chicken
Twizzlers can never be too long!!! My kids will be so happy.
Costco chickens: I am guessing it is better to have the plastic bags in the trash rather than the hard plastic shells - but it is harder for me to get the chicken out and instead of taking it apart in the container now I have to take it out and put it on a plate. Not that huge of a deal but you asked for a comment. 🙂 I love your mannerisms and comments on the products.
The clam shell is recyclable here in California. The bags are NOT!
This is my exact issue!! I am not a fan of needing to take the chicken out and place it on a plate. Just a little frustrating. I liked that the containers stayed up too. I have had chicken fall in my trunk and it now has a grease stain.
Im not even from the USA and i watched this video. 😊
I have friends that would use the chicken container as prop containers or extended food containers. Locals near me were very upset with the change to bags
I used them for cat food for our outdoor cats.
Bring back the old rotisserie containers. The bags STINK! BTW...You do an AWESOME JOB on this videos!
Thank you! July is too early for Autumn products but your reviews are always timely!
I really like this guy!
He just seems genuine.
❤❤❤❤❤
I was hoping to see you curled up in the dog bed for size reference as I have a rather large dog. Thanks for another great video!
Talking of the bagged rotisserie chicken, they also did the same with their mixed nuts and cashews. I will add that the bags have less nuts than the plastic canisters they used to come in.
I know that the raw cashews are the same weight whether in a bag or cannister. I kept my last cannister so I could dump the bag contents into it. Fills right to the top. No knowledge of the other nuts.
I purchase cashews every couple weeks and have no problem with pouring them into an old plastic nut container (same one). The jar always fills to the very top of the jar.
@@mkmoody2870 I did the same when I saw that the canisters were going away
The bags don't have fewer nuts. They are the same weight as in the canisters.
OMG, the cheesecake. I am heading to the CO now. I have 7 things to purchase after your enlightening video. I can not master the art of package twirling like you. Love you.
You look bright and well rested!😊 Thanks for ALL of your hard work esp last week during the Amazon Prime Days!👍
Thanks for today's video as well!🙃
You still have a great product flip.... you never drop it! Just part of your entertaining ways, along with the dad jokes ..😂😂 love you. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for highlighting the lower case pryex which are prone to explosion I only buy the upper case pryex which are harder to find these days
Those bowl sets are wonderful... we've bought probably 20 sets for ourselves & gifts, & everyone we've given them to loves them too. The lids are leakproof. Sure, you can't put them in a hot, scorching oven, but they're bowls. My daughter proofs bread in the largest one in an oven on warm with no probs all the time....
I guess, if you know what purpose you should use them for, you don't have problems. We use them for mixing, proofing, & serving bc they're beautiful.
Just saying...
So the lowercase pyrex are truly prone to exploding?
@@allison471 Yes, they're made of soda-lime glass which is not thermally stable. All cap PYREX is borosilicate and safe for heating. Time was when it was all PYREX but not any more.
As someone who hates ironing I support those crinkle pants 😂
Yes, I was thinking the same as I hate to iron...checking these out!
Those chicken sausages are really good and worth the buy
New chicken bags are always covered in grease when i grab them.
That’s sloppy of the people packing them.
Bags for chicken is a no go, we used the shells for other things, and when you get More than one the shells stack nicely
Don’t buy the pre seasoned cast iron, mine started to peel the third time I tried searing my steaks, black teflon like small material started contaminating my food, same thing happened to my preseasoned hot wok. I bought a rusty $20 old cast iron at the flea market. I cleaned and seasoned it myself and set it in the oven, 7 months later…. best choice ever!!
Matt you never disappoint 😊
The employees at my local Costco weren’t happy about the new rotisserie chicken bags, stating that they’ve had lots of issues with leakage when they are eventually tipped on its side. They’ve resorted to placing them into separate boxes at the cash register for customers… so any benefits of reduced waste are essentially negating by the added greasy cardboard.
I work at Costco and have heard the company saves a lot of money from switching to the bags (shipping) but has lost A LOT in profit because many members refuse to buy them now. It’s crazy how many left over chickens there are at the end of the night. And I am constantly stocking the registers with smaller boxes so the chickens can be put directly into them and not get grease on other items/in a member’s car. With the containers I would offer a box but now it’s just automatic for me.
@@FrankieFranks44 If Costco was smart, which they and their employees are (as you’ve demonstrated!)…. They’d have come out with a small reusable/washable hard sided shopping carrier for customers to buy that’d fit two chickens side by side. For example, I have a bunch of hard-sided reusable shopping baskets from the grocery store but they are much to large and are cloth covered (which is a mess to clean when you have a bagged chicken that leaks). Something leak and grease proof, sturdy enough to survive multiple uses yet folds flat for storage in the trunk. At least over at Walmart you can double up the plastic shopping bags for their bagged rotisserie “chickens” .. (I say “chickens” because lately they’ve been the size of a pigeon or Cornish hen)
The cardboard is already a byproduct it's not created waste
@@CL-mn1yq true. At the same time, the cardboard can’t be recycled now that it’s all greasy, so whereas in the past those could’ve gone to recycling, now they’re landfill waste.
@@robfl07That’s a fantastic idea! You should send it in to Costco! Locate the containers near the chickens and at the checkout - could be a good seller
It’s hard to carve the chicken in the new bags. In the clam shells I was able to get to the legs, thighs, breast slices, etc. aThe new ones are messy if you don’t want to eat the whole thing at a single meal.
do you not own a dish or a pan??
@@myrtlekittyOf courseI do! The actual point is that in the clam shell packaging I didn't have to wrangle a slippery, greasy chicken out of -- and back into -- a flimsy sided bag just to get a serving of chicken. Not to mention cleaning more dishes each time. I could simply remove the lid, slice off whatever I wanted, and return the lid. I could even use the packaging to dispose of leftovers such as bones and skin at each serving, including the last. So, to answer the question asked in the original posting -- I PREFER the old packaging.
I make a list of what to pick up watching your videos.
I appreciate your videos. I always watch them before our Costco trips.
Yay 🎉! Thank you, ☺️ 🥳 @The Deal Guy! Hope you & your family are having a wonderful summer!
Vote for chicken tray = 1. Chicken "bag" = big fat zero..
Price for chicken tray = 2.3¢ bag = 1.2¢ times 137 Million per year X 1.1¢ = $1,507,000.00 Next! Move along - nothing to see here.
@@trimulenot to mention that the bag is more eco friendly.
Harder to determine the size of the chicken in the bag. I get it though. The price of the plastic container is less, plus the shipping costs are significantly less.
Hate the plastic chicken bag. I’d pay the extra 20 cents for the ez reusable container previously used.
I appreciate your descriptiveness and honesty.
I always enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for doing them.
Those chicken bags are great. I don't know how many times I ended up with hot chicken grease on my shirt as I juggled the item into my cart. Less plastic and smaller volume packaging is always welcome in my life.
I agree. I think the bags are better.
Chicken bags for the win ❤❤ this change was a long time coming and truly needed.
I always put the rotisserie chicken in the plastic container into a plastic bag (stored on a roller over the meat counter.) Right next to the chickens. Never leaked or dripped.
I like the bags. Less plastic into the environment.
"seasonally intense" X) How I feel about Costco's Christmas displays haha
Prefer the plastic clamshell chicken holders!
Amazing how you toss the product in the air to flip it and catch it! Glad you didn’t do that with Lodge iron fry pans 😂
I had the same reaction. That's really cool!
Thank you! I do love the chicken bags so much better than bulky plastic boxes!
We really do love your videos. You’re one of my favorites. Thank you. Lots of love.
I’m so glad to hear that!
New chicken bags are great to easily debone the bird by manually pressing against the bird until the bone separates from the meat. Bones are simply picked out from the luscious chicken and the bag makes for easy refrigerator storage. I love it!
So agree.
The costco swith to the plastic bags for the rotisserie chicken are awful. Chicken gets mushed while carrying it around and travels poorly.
It gets mushed. That means they can use less tenderizer… I'll see myself out…
Excellent presentation. I like that you label the price on the lower left corner. My favorites were the Adirondack chairs, the ladies name brand crinkle dresses on a velvet hanger, the new orange cheesecake, and tge tandoori chicken wraps. I love Costco! ❤
I'm going to take a closer look at that deep fryer. The one we use now is at least 15 years old and isn't big enough to cook for a family of 4.
Thank you Matt for your hard work. I appreciate the time it takes to research everything and then show and explain it to us.
The Sealy Queen Posturepedic Plus mattress is a fantastic value at $570. Sold and thank you for another great video. 😊
I always love getting to the end and hearing "I love you, Bye bye" always brightens my day just a little ^_^
Leave me and my crinkle attire alone 😅
I look forward to this video each month. Love the random humor thrown in. Keep up the good work!
The product one handed flips will always impress me
I really appreciate your extensive vocabulary.😊
"a scientific pat test". Hahahaha, you crack me up!
I Love Love Love that you also throw in some competitor pricing/options in your video -- like you did for those all-season outdoor LED lights. It does not go unnoticed, thank you! 6:43
I hate hate hate the bag - draining the juices and getting the chicken out means it is a one way trip - not so with the old tray. I understand the need for efficiency and plastic reduction, but EVERYTHING is going to bag form. There was value in being able to use the packaging for storage at home. I have kept the old "rounded square" jars for cashews, almonds and the like - just to store them at home. Before we know it, I feel Costco will be selling pesto, jelly, peanut butter and ice cream in similar plastic bags! Keep up the great work, your channel is the best, always watch! I love you, bye-bye! 😁
Like the bag for chicken. Less plastic waste, easy to store. Made me very happy.
I’m liking the bag way better than the rigid container
I just want to say thank you for these videos you put out. They’re super helpful and I always look forward to seeing them 😊
Thanks for watching!
I bought the Bellevue candle set last Christmas and ended up getting rid of them as they barely smelled at all. Aldi has the best candles.
Same here. Very disappointed in the lack of scent.
Hi Matt I need the queen headboard and the floor lamp thank you. I'm letting costco know You Are The Man that keeps me spending 😅😂
Yay! There you are with my fav Costco!❤
Costco appliances can sometimes come with YEARS of warranty and it’s usually a super easy and fast process, so with these deals being lower priced, it’s really an incredible option. I’ve seen employees look up year old purchases and got them replaced
I prefer the rotisserie chicken in the bag. It is easier to fit in the ice chest.
Thank you so much for putting this altogether. I really appreciate watching them every time! 🥰🥰
Great video! Keep up the great work always wait for the Costco videos
Thanks for watching!
Yay, Matt! Just in time...I'm going tomorrow morning. Thank you for everything that you do! 🤗
I can't wait to try that cheesecake!!!! Omg!! Yummy!! ❤❤
You save me so much money by providing a virtual walkthrough. Thank you!
Thanks to you and your family for all your sacrifices and hard work!!
Thank you very much for doing this video. I like an hour and half from Costco. I love watching your videos before going to see what I need to head for first ❤
Same - in good weather and traffic. These videos are a huge help ❤
I do not like the plastic bags for the chicken.
Always enjoy your videos! I like your hair a little longer like that!
I think the Costco in Delaware is behind on schedule for the items you show. The items are never there when I visit the day you release your video.
Looking forward to an Aldi video so I can feel more despair about items that are missing 😢😂
Thank you for this. I will buy the electrical outdoor plugs. I love your channel. Thank you for giving us awesome deals and having such an incredible sense of humor.
That queen bedframe looks gorgeous. I'll tell my husband it has the scientific pat test, maybe that will convince him to buy it. Love your videos!
Love the new rotisserie chicken bags. Easier to transport, store in fridge and less packaging to be tossed or recycled. The bag with the carcass easily goes in the freezer to wait until I want to make stock - saving the use/cost of a ziplock bag.
have purchased several since the switch and every time, the plastic bag was a greasy mess. Now, I first pick-up one of those pink plastic bags they offer and I put the chicken bag right into that. So, thinking the point of less waste is already lost.
This is exactly what i have found. When I strip the meat from the bones, the bones and skin go right back into the bag and into the freezer until time to make stock. The domed containers were way too large and flimsy after they were off the display shelf.
Totally agree.
Hate the new rotisserie chicken bags. Bags are easier to carry the chicken out of the store but Once you get home, you have to constantly take the chicken out of the bag and then put it back in the bag unless you eat an entire chicken at one setting
Constantly? How often are eating the chicken? Like every five minutes, pull the bag out of the fridge, take a bite then put it back?
You can transfer the chicken from the bag to a casserole dish or pan.
sorry to hear this i wish both of you well 1 day at a time it will get better
I hate the rotisserie chicken bags, there are holes in it which cause it to dry out faster, they don't store as well because no hard shell, they get grease all over them because it is hard to get the chicken in at the store. The fact there is no top means I have to reach inside and cover my hand in chicken grease/juice to get any meat out. Lastly you can't easily tell which chicken is the largest anymore by which ones were touching the top of the container.
I bought the Johnny pops. My granddaughter and myself loved it.
Tip: Place a blanket in the trunk when doing your taste test, quick and easy clean up 😊
But then he wouldn’t be able to show us the vacuum.
A towel would be easiet to shake out and wash.
Great idea!
I'm not sure of the brand, but they have a really neat cat tree on sale now at Costco for under $100. Love your videos Matt!
Watching this from a Costco aisle, thanks! 😂
😂😂😂
Another GREAT video, love the newsletter too! We are thrilled to see any company trying to reduce plastics, but the bag affects the chicken. My son purchased one and said that the skin was intact upon purchasing then just missing in patches upon arrival at home. It also leaked in the car...if juice can get out - doesn't that mean things can get in? Car trunk chicken isn't his thing. Thanks for the deals alert, best to the family!
