- Today, I spent quality time with Qing Bao and did not see Bao Li that much as he was in the 3rd yard mostly away from view. She was in between. the 2nd and 3rd yard. She put on a show for the audience by climbing trees, rolling with her bamboo, and dropping from a branch. Bao Li also impressed his audience by walking up close to the glass. Both received bamboo deliveries from the keepers, but Bao Li initially didn't find the book. If you are planning to visit them, please enter near the visiting center. At this time, the panda entrance is closed, and once you enter the Panda House, you have to exit that way and not backtrack. The best time for a visit is weekdays and 8 when they seem most active. Oh wow, looks like the snow is mostly melted! I saw them during the member preview first thing in the morning and it was so quiet and peaceful. We all could hear bao Li munching boo! Their personalities are so different. Bao Li was definitely more active and and Qing Bao was more reserved and maybe shy. I think she misses her twin and “ adopted “ brother LeLe. 😢

Wow! I have so many questions. So I guess the keepers are.letting Qing Bao and Bao Li go into each other's habitats more often than before? Has the cubbie apartment changed? Is Bao Li's outdoor habitat changed? Are they using the cubbie habitat as enrichment? OK. I will save the rest.for later. Beaitiful video. Qing Bao looks kind of dainty or petite. However, I think she is small, but mighty. I love her cheeks. Looks like she could store a ton of bamboo in those cheeks for a late night snack. Thanks so much for taking us to the zoo with you.
Hi Kathy - The volunteer said they rotate them in different enclosures. On my first visit, Qing Bao was in Tian's yard, but today, she's in Qi Ji's yard. I also love Qing Bao's fluffy cheeks. I was surprised to see her so active since she appeared quiet last time. It's so fun learning about them and observing their personalities.

@@kathy93551 October is a great month. It won't be too cold and hopefully not too crowded. I suggest coming on a weekday and avoiding Friday, Saturday and Sunday as it might be too crowded. The pandas usually get pumpkins on Halloween so that is fun to watch! I hope to see you at the zoo in Oct!

Hello my Friend, it is so nice to be watching Pandas again. I may be going in April, my friend is on spring break, she is a Kindergarten Teacher. I cannot wait to meet these 2 cuties.

Does anyone know how Mei Xiang and Tian Tian are doing? I haven’t seen any videos of them in a long time. Thank you ❤. So nice to see the pandas back in DC.❤
It's been a least a month, maybe six weeks, but they looked well. They were busy eating bamboo. They are in habitats next to each other and they know each other is there. They look like they are receiving great care, just like at the SNZ. I wish they would put out more info, but I guess.they have put out quite a bit of info compared to other times. I am grateful to hear at any time.
