The Guyana Defense Force

A viewpoint on the perceived role of the Guyana Defense Force during the reign of the PNC. For decades after Independence, the GDF was considered to be more of a Private Army for the ruling Party, instead of a National Body. This Defense Force, along with the Guyana Police Force, were held in fear by most Guyanese and were used against them by the Ruling Party.
