  • In todays episode of #packedinactionfigurereviews, we will be looking at Hasbro's Marvel Legends series Blade. When This figure was released, many complained about the arm articulation, as the figures arms couldnt move all the way up or down to its sides, due to the sculpting. in Todays video, ill show you how to improve the articulation by swapping the upperbody from the previous Blade on to the lower legs of the new Blade.

I was wondering if you could do something like that when I saw this figure though I was thinking power man arms.

You could try folding over the edge still but put a dash of glue in the fold and keep it compressed until it dries.

For mines, I use hot water on upper torso (hot water will make fig very loose) I use small drill bit, maybe 1mm and drill along the side line and then pop it with those dull ice pick tools.

ive tried that method before but i always end up damaging the plastic lol thats a method im still trying to master. Do you usually get clean results?

@@packedinactionfigurereviews the hit water melts away the glue so prying it open is much easier. It's opens clean, except leaving the holes, it's not as great but much safer. Idk how many times I've cut myself back in the days without heating plastic.

Can you switch the arms? That’s what I wanted to do

If I could just switch the old arms to the new figure I could get on a custom trench coat I bought. Sadly just switching the coat does not improve articulation.

Hey! Yes, you actually could switch the old arms to the new body. To do that youd have to have to...
1-Soak the old blade in very hot water for about a minute to a minute and a half to get the plastic of the upper body soft.
2-Use a blade or exacto knife while the figure is still hot and cut along the seam on the side and neck area where the straps meet of the upper body to open the chest for the arm swap. You can see me separating the upper body on the new blade @2:05 to get a better visual of where the seam cut would be. Repeat this process for the new Blade body. In the end you should have two blades with the chest plate open.
3- From there you would simply swap the arms and super glue back the chest back together. They fit with no problem since both blades use the same upper body.
I hope this helps! 🙏 if you need clarification, please feel free to ask.

The original Blade has a better upper torso, while the newer one has better legs.
