To add to that, Kenny is just afraid to tell his predictions based on a limited sample size. He's fond of all these annoying "let's wait and see" comments, even with the Lakers. We all know it's not sound analysis to tell predictions early in the season, but that's part of his job as an analyst. That's his difference with Chuck. Chuck isn't afraid to face backlash from his 'guarantees'. But who cares? We can all be wrong with our predictions but Chuck can handle it well whether he's right or wrong.

That’s exactly what he was implying. He stated years ago that Klay was the BEST two way player in the league. And I’m gonna be honest: he’s 32, he’s not getting any younger and he came off two horrible injuries that required a lot of rehab. He’s not the same player anymore sadly but Chuck was saying that since he got back from his injuries his shooting has gone down, he can’t keep up with the younger guards and his body can’t take the beatings that he’s endured. I wish Klay the best but Chuck is right his best days are behind him

I tend to agree. And why is Kenny doing this kinda lawyerly , logical rope-a-dope on behalf of Klay. Yes, Charles was blunt and Klay was understandably hurt.
However, Charles is an analyst and he was, as he said, just doing his job. At the end, when the outro music starts playing, Kenny says Klay is one of the nicest guys in the league and you got him made at you. Please, Kenny, you’re not there to PR for Klay or the Warriors.
In a way it reminds me of when Charles pointed during the playoffs the terrible homeless problem in San Francisco and all three of them- and I love them all- started getting uncomfortable and Ernie mentioned how things right outside the arena were clean and all beautifully lit up. If you want candor and getting it real, Charles will always be your best bet.

I’m happy Chuck is the type of guy to stand his ground. Everyone on that panel offers different perspectives and their opinions are not supposed to be unified all the time. Chuck is the “reality” facet of the entire panel.
Klay was great, had 2 serious back-to-back injuries, he is NOT the same player. He has not PLAYED like the same player, and is on the backend of his career. It’s no longer the Klay-Curry-Green show. The younger players are coming into their prime and can contribute greatly to the team if the coach doesn’t FORCE the older trio to chase nostalgia. When you’re a veteran, your desire to be great shouldn’t impede on the younger player’s ability to be greater!
Klay has accomplished a lot, he should be fine taking a backseat and not rushing his full recovery. Let the younger players develop and carry the team to the playoffs THEN you can stunt on them hoes.

Thing with chuck, he’s “unbiased” and a “no sugar coating” type of guy. What he said is true. It’s what he sees and it’s what we see. He’s not saying that “he will be horrible in the near future”. Also, klay isn’t 22. He’s 32 and counting. Time isn’t your friend.

You guys are forgetting to mention that Steph is consistently passing the ball to Klay and actively trying to get him more shots. Maybe possibly trying to get Klay's jumper consistent for the tail end of the season.

Klay is a shooter. What do shooters need? Rhythm. I know Klay isn’t playing the best of basketball right now, but give him some time to get his rhythm back and hopefully he’ll exceed even his own expectations.

I liked what Shaq said -- give him a little bit more respect! He went through two hellish injuries, back to back, went through all the rehab and put himself in a position to help his team win another championship! Yes he was not old Klay in the playoffs but he made very timely shots in the the finals! Just compare him with some of the other "stars" in the game right now! What is Kawhi doing? just warming up the bench in the past 3 or 4 years; Ben Simmons, AD, and the list goes on and on!

He’s getting back up to speed, it’s not only his fault for all 3 of those L’s, and it will pay off more for them to take some early L’s now in order to get klay back in rhythm so that he can be a big difference maker later

Just read the comment section on here screaming how their god Chuck is right and how Klay is taking so many shots and bricking. Like they never considered that Klay is doing this now so that when the time comes he will be more in rhythm. Chuck talks a lot sometimes and he is wrong here. Shaq and Kenny were right, wait til later in the season to judge Klay.
