So glad you made a video on this as I was looking at maybe getting it instead of just buying tons of boards till I find the one. Was saving for the Miya Pro but maybe I'll get this the next time its in stock.
My suggestion for anyone who gets a fresh NK65 is to take it apart and specifically loosen then finger tighten the screws that attach the plate to the top housing. I've had 3 NK65s and 2 of them developed cracks at the top left that is apparently from over tightening from the factory. on my 3rd one, in Smoke, I went in and loosened and finger tightened those screws from the start and no cracks have appeared. I believe the issue is supposed to have been fixed from the factory now, but I'd still suggest doing that just to be safe.

it's very hard to find a miya pro with ec switches. unless you order direct from varmillo, with 50$ shipping (no way I'm doing that) so all mine are with cherry switches. my fav is cherry speed silver or reds.

Hey, Techne I got a question. Can you check out the new Techware Phantom pudding keycaps so you can compare them to the Hyperx pudding keycaps? I have a Hyperx Alloy Origins core and wanna replace my keycaps but people are recommending the Techwares for less money over the Hyperx caps and i dont know which 1 i should choose.

a hotswap board is a better value long term for someone just getting into keyboards, a miya pro may be better if you never ever change switches, but hotswap adds a ton of value to someone looking to experiment
Yeah maybe hand lubing the switches are boring but spray lubing them doesn't take nearly as long. Plus lubing switches can really change the experience.
They r allways out of stock, you should ask for to get notified when it goes back on stock on the buying page and hope you arrive 1 hour after it rings, that s how i got mine
You should pay people to lube your switches, i know you allready lubed once but it didn t do justice, watch taeha types on youtube he maked sound test of lubed keyboards, check out the 7v prototype and lilypichu s keyboard, gold standards of lubing
@@TheTechne personally i kinda hate it, i like to lube my own switches and it s a pain to de lube thems, hey you should check out/review gateron caps, brand new upgraded PRE LUBED gateron switches, there are 2 version, regs and golds, i prefer regs even though they r cheaper but id like your input, hell u might like thems, they r linear 50g switches (5 more grames than reds)
That's one size of keyboard I just can't stand. It's Full Size or nothing for me. I MUST have the nav section and the numpad, period! These minis just don't do it for me. So I can safely say that I have not fallen for the hype.
I kinda agree I never fell for the hype I got myself to go to TKL in the GMMK but don't see myself going any smaller and having to remember function levels for these smaller boards
