- Jávea/Xàbia ( in Valencian Xàbia ) is a town in the Valencian Community, Spain. It is a popular tourist and expat destination.
Javea is a town since 1397 but existed long before. It has an interesting history. There is an Archaeological and Ethnological museum where you can learn a lot about the town and area around. The historical central part of the town is preserved and can be seen in this video. The most important monument is the church of San Bartolomé. This church dates from the 16 century and interestingly has a fortress tower. There are many bars and restaurants around.
Javea has a variety of surrounding beaches and an additional seaside area of the town built along the sandy beach named El Arenal with many restaurants and shops.
