Hi there Folks I just wanted to share my new scratch-built RC Eagle Transporter Quad-Copter from Space 1999!
She's made from Ultra-light weight foam and Carbon fiber. . . .fitted with a quad-copter to the center-top of her fuse-frame!
She flies Like a Dream! - Розваги
...one of the coolest spacecraft in the whole Sci-Fi-Genre...!
Very nice tribute to one of my favorite TV-shows. The 70's had it all. Thank you.
You're very welcome Christophe! Merry Christmas!
This is breathtakingly awesome from someone who was glued -GLUED to the TV when Space 1999 was on!
Well done sir. Well done.
You have (or had at this point) an actual RC Eagle.
Wow.
+Michael Thompson Thankyou Mr Thompson, I LOVE anything that came from the Mind of Gerry anderson!
Just watching the episode now which is in London Live TV. Love your video and your RC Eagle.
The Eagle is one of the most beautiful spacecraft I've seen. Good job building the spacecraft. Looks great!!!
Thankyou, I built this thing 3 years ago, I need to build a new one, WAAAAY Bigger LOL
RC DemonDriver 👍
@@F3HDemonDriver1 You should also build some of the other spectacular "Space: 1999" spaceships into RC models such as the iconic Mark IX Hawk Fighters (from the incredible "Space: 1999" Season 1 Episode "War Games": catacombs.space1999.net/main/models/w2mhawk.html ) and also the fearsome Wasp/Hornet shaped Sidon Warships (from the "Space: 1999" Season 1 Episode "Voyager's Return": catacombs.space1999.net/main/models/w2msidon.html .............. Out of all of the ICONIC alien ships designed for "Space: 1999", I really really really like the Sidon Warships, because they look very vicious looking, very insect like, formidable, sleek looking, and also because they are my Number 1# Favorite.)
Good jobs making the Eagle 1 Transporter !
Super cool in the nerdiest way! The Eagle is one of the best designed fantasy spacecraft ever in my view..and that looks like fun to fly,,great creation !
Thankyou Mr Ellis! The Eagle launched many space daydreams of my childhood!
Dude that is so awesome i am just watching the boxset of space 1999 my wife got me for christmas the eagles have always been one of my favourite ships in sci fi
Thanks Dave, Space 1999 was true Sci-Fi This is a snow that needs a re-boot!
Looks like a whole lot of fun
I had an Airfix model of the Eagle - I got that for Christmas 1976. 10 year old me did an ok job on it if I say so myself.
Likewise! Except I was 30 then not 10!
I was 12 year old in 1976 when I had my first Space 1999 Eagle 1 Transporter ! Great memories of of it !
WOW! Fabulous job! My favorite ship, large scale, and FLYING! I can now die a happy man. Okay, live a happy man, but you get my meaning.
Lol, Thankyou Cris! No Dying today sir! lol
Lol yes ! Please don't die !
Brilliant model
The production values and the thought behind the realism on that show were groundbreaking. There are still so many fans of the series, and I am one of them. For me Voyagers Return is a fave. Nice work on that. Put it into production and i bet it will move a few units.
Well done! 👍
Alpha sure does have a nice lawn
Lol 😂 well it been over 30 years ago you know that moon gets hairy every now and then .
Nice work - materials and workmanship are excellent.
Thankyou Mike, Happy New Year!
Fantastic tribute to Gerry, excellent R/C, watched majority of his shows, even to the ones with marionettes. Brought back memories of my childhood. Again fantastic work

bobdaeronort Thankyou my good man!
Great job Man. I watched this show as a kid and the Eagles were my favorite parts.. I had a plastic model of one.. The 2nd season of the show was the best.. Thanks for bringing back a true classic..
Happy I brought back some great old memories for you Pat! Coincidentally I had the same toy Eagle Transporter as a kid. . . .it was a hand-me-down and I used to put starwars and G.I. Joe figures in it when I was a kid in the early 80's lol
PatBALEX
1st season much better
What an incredible nice memories video you have put out here!!! I am amaze and sad i am watching this in 2018... I wish you sir the best there is. You made my day!
1:02 Gerry Anderson was amazing no mistake but the special effects crew designed and built the craft and deserve a mention, it truly was a team effort pioneered by Anderson.
Fantastic! I am doing a lunar module that way!
Very cool, I wish you Luck SIr!
Doing quiet well near the end.
Now, do that ending sequence again but with sky blue blades and it would be extra impressive.
Well done.
This is a lovely tribute to a great man.
Gerry was the best! thankyou!
The videos and planes are great! Need to get my foam cutter working
Stuart Greer yes you do Stuart! Thanks for watching!

Hell-Yeah Paul!
@@F3HDemonDriver1 love it! had an eagle model, large one like yours, i could unlock the cargo bay. there was also a couple of episodes where they met Eagles called Hawks, fighting Eagles manufactured by someone else? don't remember the episodes, 30 years ago, that would be a great model

@@pwc7475 Thankyou Paul! The Eagle-Lander is a true Classic Sir!
Lindo video. Buen trabajo..
¡Gracias Señor!
One ace piece of kit there
Thankyou Paul Happy Christmas Sir!
the music for this show is so lit
Great Video ! loved the series as a kid still love it now and still waiting to see some sort of new series on TV
That eagle was nice now i now that would be really hard to do but if it would have the propulsion fans underneath, that would be a sight to see !
Thankyou Good Sir!, I Made a EDF Qaud last year but failed to get it to fly properly, but its a GREAT-idea!
Fantastic video and awesome quadcoppter
I'm mighty Grateful Edward!
RC DemonDriver your welcome greetings Edward
Good job
I'm Grateful Hugh!
love it.
Thankyou JJ, I built this 4 years ago and will build a newer one soon!
I was thinking some one would make a Eagle 1 drone then this video came up. Very cool.
Thankyou I'm grateful!
Cool!!!
Thankyou Trever!
Nice very nice
Thankyou Chris!
Very nicely done. So forgive these suggestions but couldn't you have hidden the motors within the landing gear boxes, extended the motor shafts and fitted transparent propellers? Should help make the quadcopter less obvious? I haven't had much success with quadcopters myself but I'd love to see someone have a go at what I suggest. Excellent model anyway. Good job.
They already have built a model rockets that used real rockets powers gun powder over 3 feet long Eagle 1 Transporter with a parachute coming out at over 100 to 1000 feet high made in 1980? I think. The built one with the Star Trek Enterprise Spaceship as well as the Our America Space Shuttle Ships .
Muchas gracias por el vídeo.
Love it. Great. Even the show. Has Anyone developed an actual full human scale size. And in good work flight order. Let me know or post it please. Does it have an on board cam and anti bump system. Huge fan.
Wow!!!!!!
I am supposed to be working and sitting right opposite is the boss! he he he he :-) I look so serious too! he never guess Iv been sitting here with the volume turned off watching this!! super cool, I was a big "Space 1999"fan! GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
david freeman David Sir. . . Your Boss might also be a Space1999 Fan like yourself lol.
Thanks for watching!
He he he , I very much doubt it!!!
Didn't crash so it's obviously not a real Eagle. (well at least we didn't see it crash, there were a few scenes where it looked a bit dicey before the camera cut away)
LOL Nice One Mackon! I saw many eagle crash on Space-1999.
love it! loved the tv show. They don't do great things like this anymore... so sad. But, hey! We have Rianna now!!! oh...no... oh my oh my oh my....
GENIAL!!!!!
Thankyou 01998!
I can't add a link, but if you fancy a LEGO Eagle Transporter, have a look at my channel or just head to LEGO Ideas and search for it! Cheers!
I'm gonna have to be that guy and point out that Space 1999 was British-Italian! Cool copter, though!
The "Eagle" flies ! ! ! tjl
Indeed it Does Tim! thankyou for watching!
Maybe you're a planning a next project which is much bigger that you can hide those propellers UNDERNEATH and had some special control canister that spews some smoke:)
Good Idea Nicanor, Remember I built and flew my Eagle Over 5 years ago Sir.
this video is from 2014.
nice
Thankyou Jorge!
A Great RC model of an Eagle Transporter you have there. Not my favorite Gerry Anderson show, that honour has to go to U.F.O. then Captain Scarlet, But the Eagle Transporter is such an iconic ship, that you have captured greatly.
I was wondering if you could put the propellers in the Eagles leg pods to make the invisible, just a thought not a criticism at all.
Keep up the great work, and look forward to your next videos :-)
No problem Mate, I made this Eagle 5 years ago and at that time no clear propellers where available but they are now Sir, So yes I would indeed use clear propellers now.
Looks like this was faithfully recreated to be prone to crashing...
at least it flies like the real thing
mis felicitaciones me encantó, saludos desde Argentina
Gracias mi amigo!
素晴らしい!

Would look even better with clear rotors!
Very True Sir, I wished there where more clear Quad-props to choose from.
A bit ponderous - but a very good effort to get an Eagle to fly.
Thankyou Stephen! You need to remember I built this Eagle 4 years ago, my next Eagle will be bigger and better.
It’ll only truly be authentic if it keeps crashing 😂
Where did you find those songs from the tv show (the first song is the one after MAYA came into the show, which i never could find...) I have put this video in my favorites to watch. This is just GREAT!
what size quad are you using?
Probably a Dodge Magnum V-10 Engine . Could be ?
That took me back, lol. As always excellent work DD.
Tony E I'm grateful for you watching my vid Tony!
Make a bigger one, please!?!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yes about the same size as our America Space Shuttle Ships ! But not the one that blew up O.K. the Challenger .😓💔☹️
You should have attached a regular drone to the eagle. you would have gotten more height, speed, and distance.
Hi buddy its your old mate Shane the brit. Sorry I lost contact.
All you need to do now is build the entire Moonbase Alpha
Moonbase Alpha and More eagles!
Thankyou for watching!
what is the music ending, it is f rom the soundtrack ???
Its from Space1999 Ludo
merci
@5:53, Gerry Anderson invented the Stargate!
aerohard My God He Did! .. . . Gerry you Genius you!
Really ? With Kurt Russell ? The movie ?
I just did a little wee.
nerde o etkiler süper uzay 1999
We thought surely we would have a moon base and routine travel to and from the moon by the year 1999. That was 20 years ago. Humanity hasn't visited the moon in 47 years. If only...
If only we spent the money after Apollo ended in 1972, and kept going non-stop, we could have had a small Moon-base by 1999, but sadly sometimes National priority changes and people loose interest, but Now Elon Musk and Branson, Bezos have once again have ignited a new hope for Man's future in space.. . . . so Maybe Gerry Anderson's visions may become reality.
Hey don't forget we have landed on Mar with Viking 1 and others rockets as well.
It is not Space:1999 until the Eagle crashes!
John, You are Sooo right!!!
Pshhh... 1999 is like a long time ago lol
Stuart Greer they should have made it 2099 lol
Thanks again!
