I'll have to check the collimation with mine. It could also be that I haven't adjusted the left eye piece yet. However I was using jewelers glasses before and I'd get very nauseous/headaches using them for extended periods. The scope did this to me initially but I'm hoping I can tune it. Really like the scope, I'll have to get some of those eye pieces. Shame they don't have a .5 objective. Also theres a 3d print available to add a ring light to the objective.
Thank you for your review. I also was dismayed to find on my new Amscope microscope that the field of view was the same with the 10x as the 5x, but did note that using the 5x oculars resulted in a larger depth of field (essentially, in-focus depth without refocusing for those still learning these terms). I would have much rather traded for wider field of view with the 5x. Collimation appears okay on mine, but the lenses were very thoroughly hot glued in position in the beveled side-in assembly. Maybe to prevent shifting in transit?
really i am very thankful for your excellent review , usually when i am watching a review for any item i am jumping the video because it is always very boring with no good information , but i watched your video from beginning to end and every second in your video has a very useful information . i need link for the rubber eye ring which you bought external please , and if you have a link for the 0.75 X lens which you talked about it in your video that will be very nice thanks again and wish to you all the best
Eyecups: Ebay item no. 141902456476 (or search for "AmScope SE Series Stereo Microscope Eyepiece Eyeshields or Eye-guards". I can´t remember where I found the 0.75x stage. Perhaps you search directly at amscope.com or email them.
What is the exact working distance in inches or centimeters above the stage to the barlow lens when using the supplied eyepieces of 10X and 20x with the 1X barlow or objective lens? Is the working distance below the objective greater with a non zoom microscope as opposed to the stereo microscope with a zoom function?
This was a very informative review and has helped me make my decision, thank you.
I buy one of this, and this video help me to adjust it, thank you!!

Very nice. As it happens, this is the microscope I'd bought for OlyMEGA Makerspace. Now I can just direct people here to see how to use this.

Thanks a lot dear brother
Have a good day
Thank you for the review.....can you tell me what is the diameter of field of view?
It depends on the eyepieces that you buy. Shoud be given in the technical details of the SE400.
Is the 54 Led ring light just as bright as the 144 Led ring lights for microscopes in electronics repair?
Don´t know. For me the single or dual LED on that flexible gooseneck holder is totally OK.

There is no "Barlow lens". The technical data can be found at AMScope from here I bought it.
