Menopause + low carb resulted in “high” Ldl, high hdl, low triglycerides, 15 lbs weight loss. My reward was “take a statin”. Drs do not appear to keep up with the science on cholesterol, particularly for women. Thx for the great info!

Oh my, I second that! And we’re taught not to question the professional, so what do we do? I got a phone call from my gp with my results, she doesn’t know what I weigh, my body fat ratio, that I’m 52 and have muscles, anything about my diet or lifestyle, and if you talk to anyone else, it’s always, listen to your doctor, they know what they’re talking about 😢 clearly something is very wrong here. I know I’m not at risk of cardiovascular disease and so I’m not a candidate for statins. Truly thankyou for your comment because I was feeling very alone on this topic 😊

My blood sugar straightened out when I gave up all added sugar. I shoot for either zero sweetener or occasional natural sweeteners like maple syrup, monk fruit, honey or just fresh fruit in general. I eat a lot of fresh veggies, fruit and whole food. I do also eat the healthiest meats and proteins I can find. It’s a game changer. I’m 59 and have been eating like this for over 10 years now. Great info thanks!

1st, I am not a make-up or skin care gal, but as I get older I am start to get the skincare part, still not a make-up person, but you make this all so down to earth and relatable for the everyday person
2nd, without a gal bladder because my doc mislead me about things due to an auto-immune I have, I have to eat fat to give that bile something to do because I have a constant drip instead of storage for as needed. So I do a variation of carnivore and I am able to work out and get thru the day and I sleep good

Kimberly, have you tried Mark Bell's carnivore protein powder called Steak Shake? The Chocolate version (only) right now comes in a completely carnivore option with all protein from animals PLUS it tastes AMAZING!! No Lactose, no gluten. You can make a shake with water, of course, or mix it in a blender with coconut milk or dairy milk (if not lactose intolerant), and some ice cubes and it tastes like the best chocolate milk shake in the world. Sweetened with stevia.

This is such an amazing video, thank you for putting this together. I’m 52, and around a year ago I started hrt and from the benefits I felt I decided I needed to change my whole lifestyle. I quit alcohol from being a lifelong alcoholic, I went keto which then became intermittent fasting, low carb, whole foods, dropped 4 stone, my insulin resistance went into remission. I’d been taking antibiotics without review for 27 years for acne, so I stopped and my skin is great. Then I started rebuilding my gut health with probiotics, making my own Greek yogurt and getting as much live bacteria as possible. And now my cholesterol is 7.8 and my gp is suggesting statins. Thank god I recognise I’m responsible for my own health. This video seconds all the good I’m doing 😊

Good info! Corporate motive is revealed because once they found out the glyphosate and artificial gradients were harmful they not only continued with them but they doubled down😢 and our regulatory bodies (gov’t) have allowed it. European standards are much higher than ours and they are being supplied by some of the same American companies who provide cleaner products there because they have to. Thank you so much for shining another light on this Kimberley! I’m sorry I missed the original chat on this last week!!!

Thanks for covering this topic, Kim! ❤
I went a different route, because I have one kidney and am concerned about high amounts of protein. Every morning, I do the medical medium morning cleanse and I swear by it! It is great at getting the toxins out! The pounds melted off. It's interesting to hear different viewpoints. Medical medium emphasizes taking stress off your liver in order to allow your body to heal, since your liver is such a hardworking organ. One thing we can all agree on is that the environment is toxic, and it is time to take responsibility for what we put in our bodies. Yes, do LOVE YOURSELF enough to start this journey with small, consistent changes and grow into more. Thanks again to both of you for awesome information! 🎉

Just an FYI, last year when we went to Panera to eat, a large Sysco truck was parked outside of Panera unloading food and probably some supplies. I asked the manager inside and he said their meats and most of the vegetables come from that company. ( They provide preservative laden meats with growth hormones injected into the animal, and pesticide laden fruits and veggies). Sysco is anything but healthy. Its science providing so called nutrition that is toxic and grown with pesticides and herbicides brought to you thru Monsanto. Sad, but true. Support your local fresh food co-ops, buy a share of land on a CSA , local food market, and dont shop grocery stores or walmart.for produce. Its not real food 🥑🥝 there, its toxic chemicals laden veggies and produce that has been genetically altered to look nice, but is nutritionally deficient. Even the bugs 🐛 won't eat genetically modified produce. Ugh. 🌞

If you have high cholesterol, such as myself, which is considered hereditary/genetic there is no diet on earth that will lower it believe me I have tried and it does not work. I find it very annoying when doctors nutritionist come out and tell you all you need to do is start eating healthy or change your diet or whatever and it’ll help you cholesterol, it doesn’t not, this needs to be addressed when people are talking about cholesterol

    • @peace-a
