- Rigla is a unique and also an important dish in South Sudan /Sudan.Rigla is normally eaten around summertime which is fasting time/Ramadan period.The English name for this green is purslane. Rigla is also known in other parts of the world or Language.The Mexicans called it Verdolaga.It’s well known in Turkey as Semizotu and it is also consumed in the United States if America.Rigla is a nutritious green plant.

Hi Zinah Salih for the first recipe I use cumin powder,thyme,rosemary,organo,
Mixed herbs,chilli ,fresh garlic and beef stock for the taste.you can use fresh herbs as well.
