God, this whole video just breaks my heart. The idea that Zack and Aerith would come back from the dead, so to speak, to save Cloud from his own depression and make him whole again is both sad and beautiful. My favorite part is at the very end when the lyric "I come to you in pieces..." comes on and it shows the scene where Cloud is struggling to crawl to Zack's side as he's dying. *SOBS* I love their friendship. Fantastic job. I friggin love it.

When this video came out I was going through a lot of stuff in my life and this song and this video with cloud and Zack reminds me of all the hardships I went through my life after it's been so long 10 years.
seeing Cloud's sad face makes me want to cry and give him a tight hug. i've never seen him make those kinds of expressions before and they are beautiful but sad. he should let his emotions out more. he keeps everything inside :-(.

But then when Zack's memories come to imprint on him, that's when Aerith come in because she used to be Zack's lover. Throughout the game, I do believe that Cloud himself come to care for both Tifa and Aerith. However, with Aerith's sacrifice, he blames himself for not being able to save her alongside with Zack
"Maybe something will happen that can never un-happen; that scares you, doesn't it?" For those who dis Cloud for this, as a person who lives with this every day, getting out of that kind of mindset is hard, if not impossible. You freeze every time, and it takes so much to move again and face it.

After Cloud beats Kadaj and he gets blown off the structure by Loz & Yazoo and is unconscious falling to the pool of water before that Aerith comes to him Cloud calls her "Mother". So there is no way he can't not see her as a Mother. Aerith was a Savior to those that survived in FFVII. Since Zack saved Cloud in FFVIICC he is kinda like a father figure since in FFVII we never hear about Cloud's father.
I like this video so much whenever I hear "Pieces" I mentally fill in all the voice lines and it's harder to imagine this song without them. As if the video made the song, which is truly special.

been watching this video for years now, and everytime i get the same sadness. In my mind this truly captures the pain and suffering cloud put himself through thinking that their deaths were his fault, and his guilt washing over him.
he never loved Aerith it was Zack who loved Aerith and cloud has a part of Zack inside him. Tifa is the one CLOUD loves. This has been made very clear by the creators in the FFVII guide saying that Tifa is the lover and Aerith is the mother figure.
Ohhh... watching this again after a few months... this video makes it all feel so real. The characters have become like real people to me, and this vid was a big influence on that happening. Beautiful, and beautiful music.
